Discontinued The Herbalizer

lazylathe

Almost there...
@AspenPeeks

I was one of the first 50 in the world to receive a Herbalizer.
Mine was used exclusively for many months and it is still used to this day!
I use it a few times a week and the only issue I have ever had was it got stuck on a screen. A simple closing and opening sorted it out.

Not a single other issue!
It just keeps on working!

Sold mine a few months ago but am in regular contact with the current owner. It is around 15 months old.
Absolutely no issues what so ever.
The only vape I've sold that I genuinely miss. ....
Good thing I got its equivalent in the portable field :)

Hope your portable replacement is as reliable. ;)

Yeah, I read all over the place about Herbalizers being plastic and therefore unreliable, but I've had mine for a few months and it is reliable as fuck. I put this thing through HEAVY usage, and accidentally spilled water that got into the heater grill twice. Both times it dried and then worked to perfection. Not recommended, but it's a good test on the Herbie's build quality!

I like to hi
I took lazythes advice and did a run of balloons in the herbie and the grinder them and then shook them about (no bb) and got huge milky clouds every hit! Thanks again! This forum is gold.
Still haven't found any easter eggs.

GODDAMN MOTHAFUCKING VAS!!!
I can't stay away from this thread. At least the price isn't too,low...if they dropped it to 4 I would get it asap. They need to do more sales !!and release that portable I know they might be working on. Or a barebones herbie that is less expensive. I know I don't need the aromatherapy option much or the hidden storage space. Nifty BUT Not desired. All I'm interested in is how awesome it vapes. And from what I remember it was awesome. Sigh:huh:

It was originally over $700. Now you can routinely buy it for $500. If you're expecting another price drop anytime soon, you should just look for another vape

Looks like the Herbalizer is available on eBay as a refurbished model directly from the manufacturer here for $375: http://www.ebay.com/itm/161929556361 I picked one up and the sellers paypal profile links back to Herbalizer.com and the description has the same address as Herbalizer in San Diego. 90 day warranty, too.

Someone should call herbalizer and confirm its them, doesn't seem like its true tho as the ebay account has 0 seller feedback, just feedback as a buyer.

Payment was sent to 1Ready, and the sellers email was admin@herbalizer.com. Proof enough for me.

How do you guys vape keif? I too afraid every time I do it I am losing keif by pulling though the screen or something. I usually just sandwich it with herb.
Sandwiching is not a bad option, but particularly fine lied particles can occasionally clump up and create hot spots in the bowl. My personal favorite method is to grind up a bowl's worth of weed, and then mix it with a generous portion of kief, mixing it around until all or most of the kief is stuck to the weed. I find this gives me the airflow of a normal bowl with a nice little kief punch to kick in.

Herb sandwich works fine.

I like wrapping kief in "degummed hemp fiber". Just enough to contain it---very thin sandwich.

I will have to try these techniques next time I get some keif. I been meaning to pick up some hemp fiber for reclaim anyways just one more reason to get some!

I'd imagine someone has a more creative method of using the whip, but here's what I do.

I turn the fan on, and allow it to run for about 5 seconds before drawing on it (pre-heating, first hit only), leaving the fan on until about about 2 seconds before finishing the draw. On subsequent hits, there's no need to wait 5 seconds, as the bowl is already hot.

I get consistent vapor, with the possible exception of slightly less vapor in the first hit. I think that could be resolved by pre-heating longer, but "waste not, want not".

I rarely use my whip but there are many optional setups.
Here's one, the @Ratchett Song ( silicone on glass adapter) which lets you use a hydratube to slightly cool the vapor and more importantly IMO, add some moisture.

Great setup.
Read back thru this thread for other options.

For those of you using hydratubes that plug directly into the bowl, are you buying from DHGate? Any models that you would recommend?

I have a water pipe where I can connect the hose to it, but it is kinda a pain.

Are they ever going to redesign the ballon? For a pricey item the bags dont seem to last long

I wouldn't hold my breath. I asked once a while back and they said no.

I've migrated the the Volcano solid valve bag system. Way better in every way with the sole exception you need to hold it down to fill.

I've considered that myself, but that solid valve setup seems a bit pricey. At least last I checked.

On the rare occasion I use the solid valve system I never have to hold it down. The weight is enough to fill on its own. I always put the yellow ring that comes with the solid valve system into the groove for the magnetic bowl so that the solid valve's weight does not deform the plastic when it is heated.
