Organalab's O-pen Vape pen and disposable c02 carts

I got a lot of 50 O.Pen carts from dhgate and have used these for various concoctions. Loading up the carts with straightup CO2 oil has been great but I've found that diluting them 1:5 with puffmajic is perfect for my oral satisfaction and medicating/recreational needs.

The pen-like battery is really neat but popping the cart on a battery like the eleaf istick 20W is far better given the increased battery life and variable power options. A few weeks in to this usage and I love it, it's far, far better than my experiences with tanks and subtanks and far more economical and cheaper too!

I used my istick 40w with my bhang sticks and they didnt work proparly. I thought it was too powerfull even in 5watts. It was tasting burned and after a few draws the cart clogged and wouldnt produce any vapor.

Uh. The first time I tried anything small like that on my istick 50w I burnt it out. I was doing it in wattage mode and the cart fried despite saying it was at 3.7 volts with whatever resistance it was.

The only way I've been able to hit something small like the open carts on something big like that is by dropping the voltage low. Think 3.3 to 3.5. I haven't used my vape in a while now though. This is all off of hazy memory. Oh yeah and by switching it to voltage mode. How he has it in the picture. With voltage first/biggest.

Did you have it in voltage mode? If not try switching it to that.

Yeah, it's a nice setup, I'm very, very happy with it except for the inevitable upper throat irritation....seems everything I inhale triggers some coughing, might be the transition to fall/winter and the super dry air.

Oh, and the flavor too, but yeah, keeping is around 3.4-3.6 is a good range for CO2 + puffmajic, I find better results if I go 3.7-3.9 with shatter+terpene mix

I couldn't find a thread for o.pen's new (?) o.ne Vape disposable, so I'll post here. AFAIK, this thing is fairly new, available only in AZ and CO. I usually vape bud (MFLB and Ascent are my DDs) but saw this thing when I was at the dispensary and picked it up as an impulse purchase, just to test the waters. It takes the pre-filled disposable cart idea a step further, with what is fully disposable "e-joint". Pre-filled, self-contained battery.

I like that it's about as simple and low-maintenance as one can get. Seems it could be nice for occasions when one wants something super-stealthy, but not for everyday use as it is hardly cost-effective ($25 for 100mg!).

I have to say I kinda liked the operation - no charging, no buttons, no nothing. Just suck and it works. The tip lights up white while drawing on it. The taste was not unpleasant, and I did feel the meds after a few hits. They come in Indica and Sativa (actual strains not specified) - I tried the Sativa.

What I don't like, however, is how wasteful it is. Not just in how much you pay for how little you get, but for all the waste of a complete e-cig and all the packaging for each measly 100mg of medicine. That's about as ecologically un-friendly as it gets.

What's worse, I didn't even get to enjoy the full 100mg's that I (over)paid for. I got less than ten hits total out of it, over a couple days. Not because it ran out of juice (liquid or electrical), but because it failed internally somehow and I went to draw on it and ended up with a mouthful of liquid.

Interestingly, OpenVape's website doesn't even mention the OneVape. I have yet to contact them about the failed device because of the holidays, but I'm wondering what they will do for me. Probably tell me to have the dispensary replace it for me, but I've heard of people having trouble getting their failed carts replaced, so I'm not looking forward to exchanging this disposable pen.

Bottom line for me is that it's an interesting and clever idea, but not for me except maybe special use situations (where extreme stealth is needed). Even if the failure I exerienced was a rare exception, the high price-per-gram and high waste factor (probably related) make it something I wouldn't consider for frequent use. But it did pique my curiosity enough to consider a refillable cartridge system and bulk liquid or make-my-own (perhaps VG tincture in my Magical Butter Machine?)

Has anyone else tried these OneVape or similar disposable e-joints yet?

Here's an online review I found

Followup on my O.Pen One.Vape experience...

Checking their website, O.Pen claims to have a lifetime, no-questions-asked warranty. I used the online chat to ask what I need to do. They said just return it to the dispensary where I bought it and they'd replace it.

Even so, I was pleasantly surprised when my dispensary replaced it with no hassle and no attempt at upsale. Then again, I've always liked this place - good product and great prices.

While I was there, I noticed they were running a special on Timeless Vapes pre-filled cartridges - buy one, get the 2nd for half price. I figured what the heck, I'd give it a try. BTW, these are strain-specific and claim to be 60% THC (compare to O.Pen at only about 25%).

I picked up a Night Terror OG and a Platinum Wreck. $35 for the first 500mg cart, and $17.50 for the second. They fit a standard 510 battery, so you don't need to buy theirs (tho theirs is button-free - just suck to activate). And I tend to believe them on the potency claim. Compared to the O.Pen, it was like night and day. Nice flavor and good medication. I can see myself buying these again for convenience and stealth (compared to vaping flowers).

Anyhow, if this is the wrong place, or there's already a thread (or I should start one) for TImeless, hopefully a mod will let me know. So far I think they are only available here in Arizona.

@MrNaturalAZ Thanks for the update. These are coming to MA soon and I am so tempted by the size and form factor. I'm not a big fan of the cartridges I've gotten which are cut with PEG/PG. Something about the vapor is just too chemically and unpleasant. The pure CO2 ones are a lot better. How would you say the taste of vapor is in the One?

How would you say the taste of vapor is in the One?

Well, the One contains the same juice as the O.Pen Vape cartridges - it's just in a small disposable e-cig. O.Pen only makes two or three "flavors" - Indica, Sativa, and maybe Hybrid, and they're somewhat diluted. They do the job, I suppose, and the One is definitely very stealthy, but for flavor (not to mention potency) I'd have to recommend the Timeless. I think they add a hint of citrus to the mix to mitigate the chemically taste that you get with some of the other brands.
