You have so many ways to use the Solo and the Air. Whether you want to use with water filtration or use this unit dry.

I personally want to buy a Sherlock piece to add to my collection. I will probably go with Planetvape, I will buy 2 just in case I break one. While ordering glass I usually go with 2 pieces because glass is expensive to ship.

I was hoping I would get a 20% off deal but that never happened before Christmas.

Sounds like 'the alpha and the omega' of that discussion to me. What works for you is what matters in a results oriented world. Glad you're 'branching out' a bit, but best not to lose your roots.

By all means explore other techniques over time, you never know, it's a big world there may be an even better match........

Curiosity got the better of me about 2 in the morning and I ordered a D020, on xe.com it says $34.1 usd = $47cdn give or take so, so hopefully when it hits my statement it isn't much more if at all, and we'll see if I like it as much as I'm hoping or if I'm just a sheep. Being impressionable is why I have the solo in the first place and that's working out so I'm not too worried.

Merry belated Xmas my Solo friends! I was away on the coast of Maine this weekend and the internet was spotty or I would have checked in.

I love love love my D-020D! The whole family enjoyed the x-mas holiday with my Solo/D-020D with some indica kush, northern lights and sour diesel I had brought for the festivities.

I bought a Joda GonG with a female connection from Puffitup that was in my mailbox when I returned home. I find the PV male GonG really hard to use, hard to use as a slide and clear the bong so was hoping to use a male/male adapter with a female GonG. The weight of the Solo makes the GonG seal tight. Anyway, the Joda female GonG was only listed on the page for the Arizer Air, but the description said it worked on both Air and Solo- I probably should have asked Puffitup why it was only listed as an accessory for the Air because it doesn't fit in my Solo. Do these two Arizer vapes have different stem sizes? I found if I unscrew the top of the collar on my Solo the GonG fits in there although very, very snug. I assume I shouldn't use the Solo without that collar? And with this GonG being so snug?

I know what your are saying... it should be returned to PIU if it doesn't fit. What I am actually hoping you guys will tell me is this will fit the Arizer Air nicely... because I will just order an Air!! LOLLOL that's how bad I have VAS right now. I want an Air anyway.

Ahh dude cancel that order! You can get a d020 for $20-$25 USD.. I know you mentioned funds being tight before and the exchange rate not being in your favor so I hope I got to you in time!

Either way its a nice piece, the first one I got for my solo. It doesn't diffuse too much so you can still taste some terps on the first few hits. Dhgate (sunshine store specifically) also sells solo gongs dirt cheap.

Solo stems won't always work in the air but the air always seem to work in the solo (barring any potential decorative work like on jodas pieces). The air has a slightly smaller diameter stem, leading me to believe your stem may of accidentally come out a little larger than it should be. If anything air stems fit looser across the board.. I'd contact randy or joda.

I don't think using the solo without the collar would hinder anything save a potentially slower heat up time.

The D020 bubbler works perfect with the Solo. It's almost if it was made for it. I don't like it with my Enano. I ended up getting the D022 for the Enano.

The prices vary depending upon when you order or also if you are lucky enough to get free shipping. I just checked through DHgate, they are selling the D020 bubbler for $28 - $34.

Decided to throw some sweet Alien OG rosin I made into a bed of said Alien OG, and blanketed with some Romulan Fire. Double indica with some indica oil. Had to hit 2 for the insane taste, mouthwatering even. Some people call it getting high, I call it aromatherapy. Pretty glad I have nothing else to do tonight because nothing's getting done anymore


I wrote that last night and didn't post it. Lol.

When I looked at them there were a few differences between the $34 US one and the cheaper ones, the sellers not having much history or possibly some of the pieces not being included because the shipped weight of the cheaper ones was less. Sunshine is who I orderd from; am I going to have to get an adapter other than what comes with it to mate my solo onto this bong? If it's a certain thing I'd just as soon order one now so I don't have to wait. Thanks for everyone's help.

You will have to buy a 18mm GONG or a 14mm and a reducer. The people at sunshine store are very friendly, I'd shoot them a message. You will need an 18mm GonG that you can get through Planetvape to use with the D020 bubbler. You probably would be wise to order two. If you like wood @Ed's TnT has WonGs for the Solo.
Here's a picture of my 3 inch 18mm Black Wood WonG by Ed with the turquoise inlay. You can use this as a mouthpiece or as a WonG

@Buzzbomb Almighty i haven't seen any GonGs on Dhgates site that would fit the Solo. Eventually they may have something like that. The GonG needs to be able to fit the vaporizer that you are using. Different vaporizers require different GonGs or WonGs. The Arizer Air and the Solo mouthpieces you can interchange. I can fit the above WonG on my Arizer Air, it is tight.

If I needed a GonG for my Enano I would need to get one through Epicvape either a 14 or 18mm size depending on the water tool.

JoDa glass has GonGs but not sure @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd is doing special orders. You need an adapter that fits the vaporizer and the water tool. I don't know much other than what I mentioned. I don't know enough about reducers. I just know the basics. Most GonGs come in 18mm and 14mm sizes. The D020 takes the 18mm size.

I see the GonG mentioned on Dhgate. You had me confused because you guys called it a reducer. It might fit the Solo. Go for it and report back, so we will all know because it's cheaper than PV. I may have missed it if someone else had ordered and been successful. It's about $28 for a GonG from PV, at $10 that's a bargain.

Won't that bit nondarb linked to just above do it? He said I'd need a reducer too.

And now it's been shipped so I have to order the bits if I want to use it. Is the reducer I need 18mm to 14mm to mate the gadget in the link to my machine? Is there a better way, to do it (might as well ask now) and still keep costs down?

Indeed it is, our @ataxian just got some of these GONG's from sunshine store. Mine are in the mail currently. They may have 18mm versions but I got the 14mm (and that's what they have pictured), a 14 to 18mm reducer is an inexpensive item (ususlly less than $5 at LHS should you have to go that route).

Planet vape and others have 18mm gongs, but they are around 4x the cost of the sss gongs.

I still need to have unbreakables done at a machine shop!

My LOTUS has the most durable water adapter known to mankind.
It's SS I as long as I have a small glass mouthpiece I'm a Happy Vaporist!

As @nondarb say's: Glass GonG's for a cheap price? $11.16 for 2 including shipping! I bought 4 at that price! sunshine store at dhgate

Word for today: "Don't vaporize GDP in the middle of the day"?

2 of those 14.5mm adapters with the built in bowl came to $25 US and change (ooooh I hope they fit), and the 14mm female - 18mm male dhgate doesn't carry is a little tougher to source (shipping is really high) so I'll keep looking when I get a break.
Now on their website (I was using the app on my phone before) there are adapters galore, 14mm female to 18mm male, and a low-profile one, and a glass bong adapter 14.4mm female - 18.8mm male. Are sizes just rough suggestions regarding this stuff? The 14.4 etc one said 14 - 18 in the options window anyway. The prices aren't bad but exchange and shipping kicks the chicken soup out of it and you need to buy a few of some items so I'm going to wait until I check out a couple of places. Someone told me they saw a "bong store" full of glass in a big mall so I'll try to find that too.

How are the prices so much higher for you? Is there no free shipping to Canada?? I mean at what ataxian and I paid for two (~$11) they should be available to you for 16.50 or so cad given the exchange rate.

Edit: Check your cart, you may of ordered two when two comes to a lot. Leaving you with 4 gongs total ad a price of $~$25. Silent runners post shows someone in Canada ordered 4 on 12/28, I can only assume that was you.

The adapters and gong fittings sizes are listed funny. 14/14.4 is used interchangeably, as is 18/18.4/19. No clue why.

I'm the Bra******* man. I'll talk to them about the nipples, however im not sure how receptive they will be since they haven't sold many... I'll also speak to them about changing the name to SOLO GONG!

Are they sold in sets of 2?
My cart says I get 2 (I cancelled 2 orders) but I could not find this item for the price listed - they were $11.16 US each or something like that and $3 shipping. So far nothing has appeared on my credit card bill, and I can hardly wait! :-)

Yep each order is in individual lots of 2, so if you ordered 2 sets you would receive 4 gongs. If its too late you would still have 4 gongs for the price of one from PV!

I'm excited too, I've got 5/6 of my orders supposedly stateside for a couple days, still no movement but I've found really tracking dhgate orders next to impossible. Between the glass and the e-nano that should be shipping out soon I'm downright giddy.

Next time doing my own christmas shopping earlier! I've already contacted SSS about adding the nipples and changing the name to something easier to find, several of us have been trying to get them to make a gong for quite some time. I'm glad it finally happened, paying $25+ for such a small non decorative glass fitting was a little ridiculous. I'm sure once the words out on these quite a few FC'ers will stock up.

Dhgate wouldn't let me sign in this morning so I changed my password and it still refuses me uinless I sign in with google and then only half the time, I couldn't contact the seller as that button didn't work on either my phone or tablet so I left a note for customer service but my hopes aren't high. I tried, over and over actually and between the thing freezing up and not working and my stupid mistakes it's about time to quit. it doesn't show the function to cancel, doesn't let me contact the seller, and most of the time doesn't want me to log in.
Finally after work I was able to contact seller, but unless my fortunes are going to totally reverse it won't matter and I'll be stuck with 4 things and still need another part. My initial phobia about dhgate was there because they weren't able to change notification settings and this time it's because when they say an email has been sent to me, it hasn't. If I'm trusting them with my credit card number I want the truth out of them. In comparison ebay works so well it's like night and day.

After speaking with SSS they seem very open to adding these in the future but they admitted to me that they only had one original stem to do the base work off of and aren't sure if the stems will work in all solos so they didn't name it solo gong.

@ataxian Did all of yours fit? It appears you, myself and buzz are the only people to of ordered yet so they have received no feedback as to their effectiveness this batch is a "sample batch". SSS was asking me about manufacturing tolerances and I'm unsure of what to tell them, other than the fact that even the OEM stems vary slightly. Sorry to keep bugging you about it bud, but we've become guinea pigs of sorts.
