Imag3 is on its way!

although I can't expect to get it before x-mas....maybe for the new year!

Supposedly mine as well, but may have been sent to the wrong address... No reply after I explained and corrected, no tracking either, so who knows, maybe it'll just show up eventually

I'm sure this has been asked and I tried searching a little beforehand but what's the best and most effective way to increase airflow on the latest Imag + ?

I just picked one up and find that it's less restrictive that the Arizer Air but nowhere near as smooth as my crafty.

Just curious if anyone has found a worthwhile mod to make this flow a little better?

I'm not sure of any mods, but what helps me is thoroughly cleaning the screwed-in filter attached to the mouth piece. Take it out and remove any residue from BOTH sides of it. Now, if it's new and you find it restrictive, perhaps others can chime in.

@Deano don't pack it too tight slight tamp is all that's needed a screen on top of your bowl or some cotton to minimize debris clogging the mp screen works wonders

Hey guys - I was fortunate enough to receive this unit a little bit ahead of schedule. I will not be able to actually test the unit until this weekend. In the meantime, here are some pictures I took of the packaging and unit that may help you see the differences between the Imag 3 and Imag+.

First Impressions:

- According to the instructions, the unit should not be charged and used at the same time. I know there was some uncertainty about this with the previous Imag+, here it is explicitly stated in the back of the box.

- You can fill the heating oven with herb directly or with a preloaded iBullet.

- To power the unit, you must hold it for three seconds, differs from the Imag+ three time push. I welcome this change as it's much easier to accidentally tap the power button three times than holding it (It's happened to me.)

- The unit is about 2-3mm longer than the Imag+ and the same diameter.

- The unit is lighter than the Imag+.

- While charging, the bottom indicator still lights up and the LCD screen shows a charging indicator.

- You can set adjustable temperatures anywhere between 385F to 430F (185C-230C).

That's all for now, i'll post pictures of the LCD later, and whatever else you guys request. As mentioned before, I won't be able to test the unit until the weekend. Season's greetings to you all.

i like the blue heat the best. use it the most.
the green is great for sensitive folks, and for lighter mood.
red is indeed for final burn, but i personally don't feel any stronger effect while on red.
maybe a little heavier for pre-sleeping time.

FUCK CANCER TOO !
Looks very nice!

With both filters, i.e., top of bullet and on bottom of MP, how is the draw resistance?

Also, how many hits do you get, on average, from one capsule/bullet?

Ah I got one as well, similarily won't be able to start testing at all until Sunday.

185c is 365F though, that's still kinda disappointing, why not let us select an eve lower temp if its fully digital? Oh well

Well, I received my new Imag 3 (No VAP3 :()

But this performance from the iBullets is awful. It really reduces the temperature to herb and 230C isn't even extracting very dark unless I just live on the bowl for 5+ turnons..

Hopefully tomorrow when I've done more extensive testing I see improvement.

Unfortunately more or less what I am expecting. But I know I don't typically like to take my avb as dark as you regardless. I'll be more concerned with taste and efficiency i guess

This is a constant cooker tho....which I've read you aren't into anymore.

Ha exactly, so I'm not expecting much, but am always open to being surprised! Sometimes they can come in handy for simple stealth using with others, but my buddy was gifted my Imag+ and is chomping at the bit for my Imag3... We'll see if I decide it's keep worthy for me ;)

Not anymore it aint :(

I haven't done burnoffs but it taste like my old Imag+, I don't see improvement in that end, I feel XMAX is the winner in flavor but that airpath is purer, I'm quite sure I see a thick black wire under the ceramic.
This is why every version needs its own thread....or at least the V3 unit.

It is still the same Imag; they are just trying bullet screens in favor or the wax cup. Probably just as useful, but it's at least more convenient.

I'm just going to ignore these iBullets (I'm sure low temp users will love them).. Being that it is the same Imag you don't need to use the bullets, I am actually quite delighted about this unit (though it doesn't seem to extract as dark as the +). Flavor has improved it feels a lot like using my Hammer in pure conduction but with actual temperature control. I will see if I can make a video tonight.

Alright everybody! I've had some testing with the imag+ stock and with Eds MP..

I need to start this completely fair. I have never used an imag until a couple days before Christmas Eve.

I don't like it. I tried to like it. But I just can't. I tried a few different methods but i just couldn't figure it out.

Now, with Eds mouthpiece, I found it more enjoyable, but not enough to keep it in any sort of rotation. We'll see. I'll probably keep it around, but just novelty use I suppose..
Any tips would be appreciated, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Until then. That's my review, I'm sorry I couldn't get more in depth. If this unit is one of your liking, I suggest a mouthpiece from @Ed's TnT
