Also so far the bender has been great. I've combusted a little the 3 times I've done it, but I've gotten much better at avoiding it each time. Usually it happens because I'm spacing out, the flavor is amazing. My wife likes it too, we have a fat gray cat named bender.

I've only attached my vaporizers to my water pipe a few times, as I generally do prefer using the Nibblers and no whips, but I must say that I prefer to keep my vaporizer up right or at least horizontal if I'm going to use it with my desk glass. I don't like continued use of the Herc, Alpha Centauri, or gen 3 KISS cart upside down.. Don't' forget about gravity, folks; hot oil will give in to gravity's whims and drain towards the mouthpiece and while you're inhaling downwards, too, the situation can get messy, fast.

The best way for me to accomplish this is with a glass fitting and a length of silicone tubing. One great source for glass adapters is from Oregon Glassblower (Mike) a fellow FC member with some feedback about his work here.

Hey quick side question what sort of metal is used for the contact post on the end of the ceramic rods?

Trying to find the best TC setting for my black rod the VTC mini 3.0 firmware allows the TC to go 1.5 resistance and has 3 TCR memory settings if I need to make a custom TCR mode for it.

If I recall correctly it's a tungsten band on the ceramic rods

I really hope that W9Tech in 2016 will (finally) come with some new tools for vaping the last big thing that is not in your products : HERB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on G you know that the portable dry herb market vaporizer market is now mature and has now really top notch devices like the Mighty (exceptionnal taste with almost no resistance in the draw).

And now soon your modbox with 2 x 18650 !!!!! Come on G, i really dream about a serious herb attachment for this boxmod that can compete with the Mighty !!!!!

The Bender is for sure exceptionnal, but i am talking about a non glass piece (at least not the outside), and an attachment where we're not forced to pulse the power button.

So we will have a true clossplatform : KISS AC / HERCULES / BENDER / DRY HERB , in a word : HEAVEN !!!!!

Maybe i'am dreaming too much.....anyway .....thanks for your work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First let me say thank you for the support and the words of encouragement. You might be aware that we have been testing many versions of the Universe dry herb cartridge for the past 3 years and have many times shown it off. If you watch this video completely and at exactly 2:28 and 2:29 you will get an idea of what the cartridge looks like, i can tell you that although this type of cartridge sounds all to good, it is the materials needed to make it work that is what puts us off from making it. I know a few companies are putting out a cartridge on this design that may look good on the outside, it is the inside that keeps us from doing it.


That is why with the new 8 we have coming and the ability to run the Bender we have something that is going to be a lot better then a cartridge based Universe cartridge. Once we have the new 8 we it will be guaranteed to work with the Bender and with TC might even run the Hercules SR 71, SR 74 and SR 74x in Herb Mode. This will give you an idea of whats coming and you just need to hold on and wait for something better, i know it takes a lot of time with us to bring things out but innovations take time.

I do hope you keep the Bender and the Hercules as the 8 series will be what you are looking for.

Yes G, but does the Bender with the new 8 will also work by pulsing the Power button like the Persei ?

And for the Hercules, does the 'Herb Mode' is just putting herb on top of the coil ? Or do we also need oil for having the famous 'fractionnal distillation' ?

We are looking into making the current benders work on TC, since the Bender works on convection and conduction with it being around 30/70 it's difficult to design something specifically for it.

The Hercules herb mode will be conduction based and will not require the coils or oils at all.

The fractional vaping part was an interesting by product that was just a fun way of doing things but never serious about it since a Herc would need to be designed specifically for this type of vaping.

This is why Michigan needs to regulate dispensaries...... Safe meds, it sucks when people peddle unsafe product for profit........ I would've given up on my Herc as well, if it wasn't for a clean reliable extract source:smug:

Sorry to hear you're out of the concentrate game, but if it's butane that's causing your concern, better start checking your food ingredient lists for TBHQ, BHT, BHA...

Of course, you could make rosin @ home, and be free of the concern!

Can't decide if i should get the KISS AC or the SR74x for a few bills more

Can anyone post comparisons?
Any videos of them by themselves or along side each other? I have only seen very very few online. :T

I don't use too much oil at a time.
I do sesh in a big circle many times though...

Thus far, i'm leaning toward the KISS AC side.


Oh and btw, i've been seeing quartz rods being used in atomizers now.
Do you guys have anything new that might incorporate quartz rods, or a quartz plate??? That would be sick

It is very late and I'm super medicated so I am going to keep this short......

I just took the Kiss AC and Nibbler AC to a holiday party and was able to pass it between 8 people only having to reload 2 or 3 times in a 4 hour period.

A major advantage of the SR series is not having to reload as often. However, there is a steeper learning curve and someone unfamiliar with the herc can screw it up very easily, making it harder to use in a group setting.

I have both and IMO am stunned at how versatile and amazing the Kiss AC platform turned out. You have several choices of atomizers and the nibbler just makes it that much more unreal.

Ultimately, it is your decision but you can't go wrong with either, and I would say start with the Kiss AC, and work your way up to the herc so you can appreciate it more.

Also, I took a few vids of the Kiss AC and Nibbler AC in action. I will throw them up tomorrow.

Edit: I guess I didn't keep it very short.....I forgot to mention the quartz option. Head over to oilvaporizer.com where you can find dual quartz atomizers that you may like.

Also, concerning the 510 mod vs the 510 ego options;
If my box mod came with a 510 ego adapter, i can use the 510 ego option right?
What the difference even? Is the part where you attach them shorter on the mod version?

Ego has a skirt and Mod has no skirt. Box mods almost always take mod threading.

IS there a way to remove the skirt from the 510 ego?
Or is my best bet just sticking to that box mod and sacrificing the look for more compatibility?

The AC is better for a quick dab but once you get used to the SR74 it is difficult to imagine using anything else. The learning curve is steep and it will "leak" in the beginning (don't worry the "leaking" is all internal and you can directly recover what has leaked, there is no mess). The taste, ease of use and vapour production of the SR is unsurpassed as far as I am concerned. I am still on my first rod (nearly a year) but if anything does break you can purchase each part separately.

I have the AC and use it with the 1701 from time to time but my daily driver is a SR74x.

I gotta say I am loving the Nibbler AC. I used to have the original Nibbler for use with the EO carts, then when that broke the Kiss platform was out and I got the Nibbler GN that I have been using as a daily driver until this week when the Nibbler AC came in.

The Nibbler AC has some improvements to previous versions, notably a glass disk that closes down the aperture to keep water out of your mouth. Along with some glass frets in the mouthpiece this lets you have more water in there without drinking any. The connection to the AC is great as screwing the Nibbler on/off is a lot easier than pulling it on/off the o-rings as in previous Nibbler versions.

All in all the best Nibbler yet! (although I have never tried the Herc Nibbler.
