Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
Ah, motivation! Waking up in the morning is just about enough motivation for me!
And the only thing I do wrong all day. :haw: Well now I'm motivated to fill a screen and write a post.
And since @Stevenski filled the last one, I feel that much more obligated to fill mine. 1/3 @ 200C is my new EQ-uation.

@Nugg You probably noticed the draw strength with the shorter hose. 3 foot hose from the water tool? Is that a comfort thing? I'm using a hookah tip and a 14mm wand with some silicone magic for my wand. In fact my latest setup is almost fumble free. I straw draw my packs using a chillum to fill with, while my glass bowl and wand is already preheated and GTG.

I'm using a duel perc which drops down and was more designed to drop into another 18mm fitting then being whipped from. I'm reminded of that because It doesn't sit flat well either. So I took a large handmade over-sized coffee mug, tipped it upside down and put some poster gum on it. flattened and scored the gum on the textured ceramic bottom. And pressed the two together. Then bungee corded it to the cup even more. Already broke the fitting off the perc before when it took a dive. Being clumsy with a clumsy piece of glass.:ugh: Now my perc has its special pedestal with a wider base and a handle too.

I think the type of bend of the hose matters too. I used the dry run fan test method, that I mentioned earlier, to measure the air flow between the EQ and the bubbler.
People are willing to spend triple figures for a glass piece. So why not get the most performance out of it? The fan test and cutting the hose just where I wanted it saved me a lot of trial and error. Then when I decided to keep my EQ below my desk, and change out my glass setup, less problems getting the cloud machine up and running. :science:

My motivation today was rock up to the work, move my office & put on my out of office reply. Once done wander around gossiping until the clock trikes 12 & go directly home for a early session on the EQ.

And the only thing I do wrong all day. :haw: Well now I'm motivated to fill a screen and write a post.

I can't believe you went there dad :|. Actually I can & wholeheartedly approve .

Decided to try a little bit of reclaim with a little pinch of buds & the EQ on 230. I am 5 rips in & boy oh boy wowee :o:o

I have a feeling that with this new insight we will find the ultimate hit with the MIGHTY Q. Only then will we be considered true masters. DDAVE is a philosopher of the Q. I salute you :sherlock:

Thanks @ryanlaghost !

What's your Ultimate Hit? If it's not quite there yet, let me know of the details and let's see if we can make it happen...

Hey guys, i bought this Vape 2 Days ago an I'm impressed.
I read most of that Threat but something is not clear to me.

I preheat, fill up, wait some min and fun comes to me.
But, if i did the first Ballon, what should i do ?

Let the green in and the Unit on ? Or should i turn off the Unit ?
My thoughts about this came because of the Timer funktion.
But is that good for my herbs ?

Thanks to you guys, this Thread helped me a lot and i am still experimeting for the best way of use.

Sorry for my Englisch, not my first lang. but i hope you can imagine what i mean

Herb gardener...
I would love to help you out here, but I'm struggling to understand your question, sorry.

You have chose a good machine, now you jus need to experiment with it.

Do you only use balloons?
I'm confused what you mean about the timer function.

Are you asking how to fill a balloon?

Hehe, one more try, I only experimentet with bags that day's.
This evening i'll try the whip.

But my Question : After first Bag/whip, should i let the Q on and let it heat probably one hour till next session or should i turn off.

I mentioned, i have read something like this in another Forum. This guy heatet up, took a first session and the he dont turn down the power and let the Q on for Hours.

Ah I get you now, much clearer...
My eq power pack has been plugged in and turned on since September.

My eq is on for 6 hours every night at 200 Celsius.
And 12 hours at the weekend.

It's fine to leave it on...
The eq will not overheat...

It performs better if you leave it on with all glass parts on to heat soak...

And my opinion is that the whip is far better than the bags. Vapour goes stale in bags and sticks to the walls, losing active compounds to the bag, not your lungs.

I hope this helps you out...

Leave it on. If you will be using it every few hours. I just tried my first balloons in 18 months just now. Simply put bags suck. Use the whip, whip through water is better. Welcome to our community.

I am fucking vlasted though. Very fucked indeez5

Im gonna add that bags suck again because they suck twice as much as i remember. Weak diluted vapor fit for maybe a small child or infant. Therefore the fan is great as a preheating feature.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned @DDave himself might help you with the kit and the right fit for your EQ. His most recent post above.

Without repeating everybody here, Bags are harder to get right. Plus the vapor becomes dissipated to some extent. Whips and whips with water pieces are more common with FC EQ users. With whips, you have more control over the type of flow you can have.
As far as your green light question? You seem to join the conversation about power and electrical performance of the EQ.
Preheating the glass is better for performance. Most everybody here will agree to that. Leaving the EQ plugged in full time seems to make it work better for some. Others say not really or not enough to matter. I think it definitely makes mine work better. Anyway, if you do preheat your bowl, It will behave better. :brow:

The 200c @ 1/3 cap EQuation is working with my setup. With no waiting nessesary. After I place the cap in the wand and in the EQ, It's GTG. But I do wait less than 1m for full heat soaking. The screen sure gets hot when it comes time to switch them out. :peace:

Nice nice, thx for your answers, that´s what i wanna hear. Then, i let my Q plugged and have fun all time in the evening :D

@kellya86, i´m pretty ok with the standard setup atm, but i will have a look @DDave´s equipment.

And now i will give my best to read the rest of that Thread.

@CuckFumbustion are you getting a single extraction at a third of a cap at 200, is this what you mean?

It takes me 2. Second one at 210.

This medicated very well. I usually load a full basket, but a 1/3rd seems to work just as well. Definately not 66% worse.
Still trying to refine my method. But essentially 2 or 3 full draws clears the fog from my glass. Sometimes I empty my caps together and revape that one more time.
I have tried to squeeze the last bit out at 210c, like you mentioned or let it soak longer for a second time at bat. But for now trying to find a balance between extraction and ease of use between switching out caps.:peace:

edit: sorry for you!

Weed is FREE!
Oh that's half the fun right there. My pack method is O.K. Not failing in the ripper dept. Can set the EQ at 210 and have a power rip session and forget about being refined if I wish. But It is my compulsion to get the most milky vapor with each cap without scorching. More of a Goldilocks thing at this point. Not too harsh, not to weak. Sometimes I almost leave the planet when I intake a really fierce ripper hit and forget that I need to breathe. :o Plus I'm getting all this to work with my dual perc.

My glass setup has heat soaking in mind. Both the wand and the bowl get heated up before I add the cap to it. And they both hold their heat quite well. Taking the cap out after using the EQ is like pulling out a hot rivet.

Depends, for a quick clean between packs, a go with a wooden toothpick does well, especially if hot.

For in depth cleaning between days, ISO soak overnight, rinse in the morning does well.
How do you feel about adding sea salt to the ISO like with glass? Would the SS be ok with that?
I had some stubborn flowermate screens that I used the sea salt as an abrasive and added ISO to remove the black flecks. My method. pour sea salt on a yogurt lid. Set the screens on top of the lid and grind in such a manner that the salt pushes through the mesh a little. Add ISO. Grind with salt again. Repeat. Rinse.

Stainless steel can be pitted by salt, if exposed for extended periods to it. For a mesh, that means weak spots. Ensure to rinse well so that no pieces are stuck in the mesh and you should be good to go.

How do you clean the screen if using the elbow pack?

I use the following tools with my EQ for simple maintenance.

150ml jar of 99% Iso
SSV stir tool (any metal skewer or spike really)
EQ Stir tool (for tamping my loads)
6 or 7 EQ screens

You really don't need anything else for elbow pack maintenance. Fill your basket til it is just overflowing & tamp down with the butt of the EQ glass stir tool. Vape basket load, remove elbow/adapter from EQ. Scrape out elbow basket with SSV stir tool in circular motion, repeat once or twice more. Dump used screens in Iso jar overnight & rinse with warm water (you can use the Iso reclaim later).

Christmas Eve & the kids are in bed. I am blasted & will be having a good old fashioned vape bong with my brother. The EQ has been running through a honeycomb recycler into a 40cm honeycomb & it is 40mm inside barrel so it packs some serious punch. I think I will get back my 14" straight tube with a UFO perc & whatever downstem perc I use as it is only a 30-35mm inside barrel so is perfect for vaping volume wise.
