Cloudy...
If you pack the oven, it doesn't mater wich screen you use because it's not able to move and you aren't gonna have any bits going through. With the pusher you can control that, use different amounts and pack them :2c:

Ha, was just getting ready to write a positive review on the Pax 2 (especially with pusher and vented lid).
However took it out of the charger this morning (had not used it for a couple of days) and nothing.
I can hear the button click, but the leds do not light and it does not heat up. Placed back on the charger and all four white leds are on. Bought from NamasteVapes so I guess they will replace it, since they are not authorised.
Have only had it around 6 weeks, so am a bit surprised.

Pax Pusher 2.0! Just got my review unit of the new Pax Pusher 2.0, and its a damn nice improvement. I think NewVape is paying close attention to our needs, it seems like everything that could have been improved, was. The Lid (vented or no) still allows the pusher to be adjustable. There's a fingernail notch in the top, as you can't rock the lid out with the pusher attached. I wasn't stoked about the raised nub at all, but when inserted its completely flush with the end of the Pax and I can't get it to catch on anything - ala' accidental removal, so it seems to work pretty well.

Hmm why not use cotton? Would do the same trick if used carefully. Just do not overload or you will make a mess of your herb chamber.
Be careful, anyone, if you try to use cotton. Remember that many cosmetic cotton balls are NOT 100% cotton and the plastic in them will melt in your Pax 2.

If you're going to use cotton balls, use sterile cotton balls from the first aid aisle only, to be safe. I've used sterile cotton with wax in the Pax 2, and it works wonders.

I tried out the water pipe adapter last night and it was alright, if not a bit disappointing. I need to spend more time figuring out a better temperature setting and testing different pull speeds because my first vape, at temp setting 2, caused the lights to go from green to purple and it took a while for it to equilibrate back up to temp (~10 seconds). Almost no flavor or vapor, so I pumped it up to 4 petals and tried again once it reached temp. The vapor was pretty thin but had more flavor. No throat irritation that I could tell, which happens ever-so-slightly with the pax 2, so that was nice.

How does the lip sensor engage if there are no lips (or contacts otherwise) activating it? I took the pax and put the mouthpiece back on and pulled from it after I felt the load was done but was surprised to get a decent amount out of it, so I wonder if my unit isn't reaching/maintaining the proper temperature.

Still need to play around with it more to get a better sense of it

I usually use my adapter from @Ratchett with party mode, but I have also tested it out with normal heating mode. Neither is better than the other in my experience, except that party mode is better (for me) for group sessions. People like the flashy lights.

A few nuances I've noticed, though. I may be wrong but it seems that the aquarium grade silicone used in the adapters is at least somewhat conductive. No science proofs here, but based on the fact that it causes lip sensing party mode to flash like it normally does, this is my assumption. I also seem to get more out of an oven of the same weight, probably because of longer time periods between draws. Also, MY Pax 2 works better with glass with more restricted flow (more percs, smaller percs, more chambers), which leads me to...

The biggest nuance: milk it SLOWLY. Like, half of the speed you typically use. If I pull on my glass like I would for a dab, or like I would if there was a bowl attached (yuck, combustion!), the pax gets too cool. It's really important, at least in my case, to pull slowly but steadily, for 5-10 seconds, and then clear

Good calls on many fronts @whatavape, party mode makes sense as does a slower draw, i'll give that a shot tonight.

Man, much research to do, how will I ever manage?

Really nice battery life but the battery is not user replaceable. I would say double of what the air gets in battery life but charger is usb so you can use a power pack or any usb port. . Small form factor is great and very inconspicuous. Quick heat up time. Bigger oven for longer sessions and nice smooth vapor with big clouds when you bump up heat a drop. It is also very cool looking imo and led colors are nice. Cleaning is greatly improved from the pax1 but i would def say the air is easier to clean not that the pax2 is so bad at all. Best of luck

The pax definitely produces odor. It's much smaller than the air and has a larger bowl. It also has a lifetime warranty. If the battery craps out in 10 years you get a new pax. For the size, nothing compares IMO.

Yeah there is def as much smell there as there would be while using the air. I'd rate it a 7. I like it allot.

It is the smelliest vape I've experienced. Three days after vaping, you can still smell it. I had to put mine in the garage because it smelled too much and was putting my office area in danger. You can use Mentos caps or custom caps from @Ratchett. I haven't bothered but I think I need to.

I fucking need help or im gonna suicide =( (jk. or not)

I'm a brazilian guy. 2 months ago I was on my last day on my USA/califoria trip and had some money to spare out and decided to buy a PAX 2. So, as you know, PAX 2 store and/or amazon/ebay sellers wont send it to brazil due to company restrictions.

Ive been a very happy user for these last 2 months, only positive feedbacks, a lot of friends of mine that never used a vape (its realy rare in brazil) bought a pax 2 or were going to buy.

But now the problem.

On the very first time I dropped my pax 2 on the ground, from 2ft high, the charging dock terminals dropped. But I didnt notice it. I continued using and only noticed that the charging dock terminals werent there on the next day, and now I have an useless PAX2 that wont charge anymore.

Could anyone give me instructions on how to fix it by myself to make charging ever work again? Or is it impossible? I dont believe I just "threw" $250 off..

To be honest, I didnt think that pax 2 was going to be so delicated and loose the terminal on such a simple drop to the ground. That drop had hit the mouthpiece to the ground, not the side of the vaporizer.

Any help is appreciate im really sad about that. Thanks!

That is some bad quality copy, i just bought 2 for 100 (on did not work well so i get another one).
it was impossible to remove part that has fallen from your vaporizer, basically i was able to open vaporizer by pushing down this plastic piece hardly and push vaporizer out.
If you have experience with ironing you can do 2 things.
- put two pieces of soldering iron on each contact (make small balls) that will make contact with charger.
- you can also put micro USB port on that side (also need someone to do that with experiences)

regards

D

Hey guys. Just bought my first Pax2 today after using my MFLB for 6 months. I am very happy with it. I managed to cut a brass screen to shape and push in the oven so I can use small loads and it's working flawlessly. Very satisfied. Any must have accessories I should look out for?

Nice looking cat.
For your top screen you can just fold a brass screen into a u shape, like a taco. I like the NewVape titanium pusher for this purpose. These methods let the screen or pusher make contact with the oven lid which helps hold them down.
For the Pax2, use a fairly fine grind (not powder) and a tight pack. Some say not necessary, but especially if a full bowl, give it a stir halfway thru.
Have fun!

Good info. Im using my Magic Flight Finishing grinder to store my herb and I am using the folded screen to press and keep the herb in place at the top and so far it's working wonderfuly. I'm noticing at setting 3 the abv gets pretty dark brown so I have to keep it at a 2 if I want to use the abv for anything or would anyone say otherwise?

I start at 2 and finish at 3, but keep experimenting to see what works for you. Regarding accessories, I started with a folded screen, but got the newVape pusher and love it. I never fill the oven and never need to stir.

If you plan on carrying your pax out and about and are concerned about smell between uses, you should get @Ratchett'a caps.
