next generation e-nails?

Howdy! Looking to break in my SiC halo today with some 73u bubble hash. I've never dabbed before, so total noob. What do you think is a good temperature to start with? If it helps, I have an Auber RDK-300 unit. Thanks!

I'd say start at 640 and go from there. Is your bubble hash full melt?

Great Scott!
I'm still not sure if its a good idea or not to iso wash the nut to go on top of my sic dish. The nut could use it if it is okay with titanium. Wish they had a sic nut lol

I'd say go for it. I haven't had any issues cleaning it with iso!

What do you look for when getting a car converter?

I got one that's capable to go upto 140w. Think that's safe enough?

Better be because that's all they had lol.

YES! first try at the SiC dish last night in the 20mm Liger V2.0. At the same temps this thing vaporizes oils much faster than quartz. I was able to turn the heat down 50 degrees or more and seemed to be achieving the same dabbing surface temps. This makes since considering the much improved thermal properties of silicon carbide carbide over quartz. As for flavor I'm still on the fence about this? The Taste is great and the heat transfer is much better, but I am undecided which tastes better? Let me go through that 1/2 oz slab of shatter over the holidays and I will let you know. One thing is for sure I would have one of these in your dabbing line-up! I love this setup, I can taste EVERYTHING!

What ended up being the verdict on the heat retainer...i saw some say its only for torches...others say on top instead of bottom or something....it only fits with some coils...seems confusing...

On a good note, my auber 200 enail with flat coil came in today..checked the tracking and my dnail slimline with quartz halo should be here tomorrow...getting a fresh gram for the maiden session after work....fuck yah...i emailed dnail...they said carb caps should be available soon..going to try a few banger carbs i got but if worse comes to worst..ill use a no goo container..
Been a lotta discussion on what fits and what doesn't as far as coils and the nail slim....getting your exact set up just curious on the fit?
Does the heat retainer fit underneath the halo with the auber flat coil? Are you using the retainer at all? My halo and nail are on the way but wanna be sure everything will fit before pulling the trigger on the rdk-200 w/ flat coil or high5 with flat coil, thanks

@fatty_tattoos

I have a RDK-150 & a RDK-200 (both with Auber flat coils; although the flat coil for the 150 is different than the coil for the 200).

The heat retainer will barely fit with my RDK-200s coil + halo.
The heat retainer will not fit with the RDK-150s coil + halo.

However, I am NOT using the heat retainer when using an enail.

I have the Auber rdk200 with flat coil and quartz halo dish.

Fits all good and snug and safe and secure.

Edit:I put the heat retainer above the flat coil under the dish.

I'll try it without.

Man...d-nail has carb caps back in stock, but they have a straight hole instead of a angled one. ..they talking about rotating it as you hit...I'm thinking fuck that...I'm not paying full price for a defective product.

I feel you there. I used to think it was just a gimmick but I use the Storm cell carb cap that goes with my CCA liger, it uses the same angled holes and I have to agree that the angled holes work better. It actually has 2 opposite angled holes to give it a vortex in the cup to quickly clear the vapor. When I try other straight hole carp caps it does take longer to clear the dab. So not a gimmick at all, it works great!

I've had my Liger v2 (Quartz insert) for 2 weeks now but my Storm Cell cap was back-ordered. As a matter of fact Josh (CCA/710) just contacted me that my Storm cap was shipping out today... I've been using coin quarters but they get hot quick. Other glass carb caps just don't seat properly I was always worried the glass cap would land on the floor. My ceramic cap seemed to work the best (stable & decent rips but wasted vapor coming out the back). I had someone bring their Storm cap and what a major difference (night & day). You realize full potenial when you go from half-assed cap to the Storm cap. I'll be tracking that package like a fiend till it gets here:rofl:

Nice! Did you remember to use the FC discount code? I like to use mine upside down. Especially if you have the 20mm version. Although this next batch may be re-designed for an even better fit with the 20mm from what I hear.

Ah dude, the carb I have (dnail universal 2.0) is an angled cut hole that causes the air to vortex around in a spiralling fashion inside the dish.

I have used it on dnail halos and infiniti large dishes and the fit and function is simply better than anything I've ever used. It produces considerably more clouds on an infiniti large dish vs the OG HE cap for example.

EDIT: I am now informed that this latest batch have straight holes! I would wait myself for the angled holed ones to come back but I will seek word on when this happens and report back for those of you still needing a carb.

What you have said is flatly untrue and there is never a need to rotate these carb caps.

In getting excited about your new nail, please make sure that you do not misrepresent other products.

It looks like the current batch of caps available on their site has straight holes. Here is a quote directly from Dnail's site:

"Note: this batch of carb caps has a straight air intake instead of an angled air intake. For best results, we suggest rotating the cap on the nail while inhaling."

I have two V2 Dnail carb caps.

:brow:

Both have angled holes in the caps.
However, the second one that I bought has a slightly deeper bottom lip, which causes it to seal more effectively.

They both work great, although I haven't used anything other than the V2s.

Oh this is news to me! Yeah that is different to all of the other batches (I've owned 2 of these carbs both angled holes, both perfect fit on all of the abovementioned dishes).

In that case, yeah, I would probably avoid that carb til the angled one comes out too ;)

I will try to speak with the dnail folks to find out why this lot was difference and what the performance difference is more specifically.

Funny you asked, I was actually checking Hyman's store last night and didn't see the coils listed anymore (here is the link anyway: http://www.dhgate.com/store/19928813).

Although, these flat coils on amazon look exactly like what I got (minus the fact my the flat coil is a little wonky) for the same price. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0177DETRC

I just did the same thing as well. SiC Halo w/ slimline series + D-nail carb cap = WOW... game changer for sure.

What temp are you currently running at? I've been using one of the suggested temps in this thread of 627... But I'm not exactly sure what to expect from a 'perfect dab'/perfect outcome. I'll have to do some of my own testing as well.
So I have it set up like this... From bottom up...

Female joint
Heat sink
Flat coil
Heat retainer
Quartz dish
Dish nut.

Temp I usually sit on is around 660-700.

Ill try the 627 right now.

I'll take off the retainer between the coil and quartz dish and try and see how it is.

Just cleaned the quartz dish too, so looking goooooood
