or shouldn't I...I bought Adele tickets today, for a Seattle show, thinking I'd spoil my wife a little. I went all-in, by my standards, selecting $495 (each)seats. The thing is, they're listed online now for 8x what I paid. So, I can spoil my wife, or I can turn about $7,000 profit. That,s pre-commission, as I didn't determine what the sellers take, and assuming someone is actually willing to pay that much.

What's your advice; Take the money and buy something else for my wife (and maybe another ESV for myself), or stick to my original plan? I think I know your answer, but maybe I'll be surprised.

Everyone's financial situation is different. I know if I told my wife I sold the tickets for $7000 profit, she wouldn't complain in the least.

If it were me, I'd sell the tickets, find the nicest hotel in the city and reserve a room with a view for two nights and find the most romantic restaurant with the best food in town and take her out for an amazing evening. Halfway through dinner, I'd tell her how we just made $6000 and have a toast

Yep, I like @Ratchett's idea. But, I've just discovered that I may not be able to sell the tickets at all. It turns out that they will require my credit card and photo id for access to the venue. (Apparently, Adele dislikes scalping.). I might be able to transfer the tickets via Ticketmaster's site, but won't know for at least another week, due to some sort of ticket release delay.

If I can't sell them, all is good, as I hadn't originally planned to do so anyway. It would be nice to make easy money though.

Fuck Adele. Take the cash! Who would pay $7000 to see her though? Sounds unrealistic. For $7000 I would expect to see the ghost of Jim Morrison.

usually I would say to just go to the show, but man, 495 for a simple concert, not even a festival... way oiverpriced IMO, so especially with a profit of 7000 I would sell them.

lots of fun stuff you could do with 7000, you could probably arrange a much more fun/special night with that as a concert would've been, with that kind of money you could even plan a vacation with airtravel and look at cool ruins somewhere.

I would definitely flip those for profit, man. I'm sure your wife will understand. Pretty much what others have said, you could buy your wife some nice new jewelry, have a night out at a nice hotel with a good restaurant, and still have plenty of profit left over for a new vape and some glass, some bud, and then STILL probably have some leftover to put into savings.
