The easiest way to tell is to turn it on. If the chamber glows the color of the temp selected, it is glass.

Still rocking' my black teflon core. Tried the glass core but the teflon core along with Stickstones adapter and glass sherlock provides MASSIVE tasty clouds on request. I switch it up between the MV and the LSV only to keep my tolerance in check by switching out vape signatures but as far as tastiness and cloud production, for me, they are both on equal footing but with less air restriction with the LSV but more even extraction with the Mini.

Picked up a Teflon core during the sale, thanks to Sticks for the great customer service and super fast shipping. I have been enjoying it for a bit over a week now and so far its lived up to everything that has been said in this thread.
My first night i was getting great vapor at times but was inconsistent. I vaped one small and one large basket and it knocked me out as if I had done 3 large dabs back to back to back. The next night I did things a bit differently and i set it to blurple, back down to blue and got great results on all heat levels. Was lucky enough to get a delrin adapter from Sticks and it works so well with water and my Evo mouthpiece. The taste is on par with my LSV and it holds the flavor a bit longer. The way the MiniVap extracts all the cannabinoids from flowers is amazing. I packed a large basket of Fruit Loops and the vapor kept coming and coming on green, and the flavor starts off really nice and never gets that burnt pop corn taste or even harsh for that matter, even on red.
I can already tell I should of bought some more baskets and flexi cones so I can easily switch up strains and have each one ready to go. I was surprised how small the MiniVap is but everything about it exudes quality, love the finish, ease of use, and the camera bag is great for storing everything.

Pretty amazing for a vape that's been around for 5 years. I've said it before but it's worth repeating, but if Hermes would just lower the price on the MV I'm positive it would jump start sales in a big way. Maybe Hermes just prefers a niche market?.
Were lucky to have @stickstones on this side of the pond. He's just what Hermes needs in the States.

You got that right, ordering from Sticks was as easy as using the MiniVap! I know I will be hitting him up soon to place an order for more cones and baskets.
I know what you mean about the price. Without ever having tried it, the $ for the MiniVap seems a bit extreme, but now I am asking myself why i did not order one years ago. The vape signature is really unique compared to my Evo and LSV. When I run a heavy Indica through the Minivap I am able to get more of the CBD out of my meds it seems because I have been getting some great uninterrupted sleep every night that I have used the MiniVap.

The only words of advice I can give to a new MV owner - don't overpack. It's caught a couple of us not paying attention...
Lately I've only been using blue and blurple, but last night was all red. I forgot how fast you can chug through a bowl on red. 4 or 5 hits and a nice even brown. Heck, even stuffing it full of buds is good.
In short - it's all good, except overpacking

Did you notice the MV power on when you put it on the charging base while totally flat batteries, I noticed that yesterday, it powered on for at least +20mn before I realized it and turned it off (it was already happen at least one time in the past)....
Is it bad for unit/batteries?
Unit is still working perfectly but I'm afraid batteries suffered...

So, was the unit hot after that 20 minutes?
To verify it really was charging AND heating the chamber at the same time.
I know they recommend to NOT do this but I think they are talking about it is bad for the battery longterm---like make sure you don't do this normally.

I got my MV back after the glass update and I am pretty sure I liked it better before.
No time to post pics but the job seems unfinished, there are a couple plastic rings, smaller then with teflon core who don't fit the chamber very well, ended up not using them waiting for instructions or advices here.
At the bottom of the chamber, when I first bought the MV, there was a wire screen, very tight.
Now there's a loose screen that covers bumpy stuff, that I suppose now covers the heater.
In place of that nice white plastic surrounding the bowl now there's a black gum that can be damaged in the wrong hands, first version was foolproof.
The "glass" and the small area visible in the bowl, since is now transparent seems to expose the internals and it looks now quite cheap and messy.
What's worse is the flavor, it's almost ok but there's a harsh component to it, other than that it's harsh even at blue temp. I coughed at blurple. Saving the partially vaped bud to experiment in the ESV.
Pretty a sad day.
ecapple vendor tries to charge me 120 instead of 60 for a vaporizer (plus 60 for customs), and minivap is now broken.
I'm tempted to ask to go back to teflon if it's under warranty. But first thing tomorrow I'll post some pics because this is not what it's used to be.

So sorry to hear. Yes, please post pics---close ups of the chamber.
Where did you have glass core installed, are you US or Europe or ??
Sticks posted that the glass core chamber will glow when the unit is on, internally from the power or temp light. If so, take a pic with glowing glass.
Anybody have a picture of a new from factory glass core chamber and/or a @stickstones replacement glass chamber? We can compare when you get pics posted.
Your chamber sounds very odd---
Hopefully you knew when you upgraded to glass that the flavor chamber is the Teflon and the glass chamber is the more hard hitting/punchy chamber with a little conduction added and a little flavor lost/ a little harshness added----- BUT it should not be massive harshness added.
Have you done a burnoff----in case the new one has some oil, sealant, gunk in the vapor path that causing big harshness?? Turn on red for 15 minutes (no herbs). Get long whip and draw hot air into whip and then blow the whip out-repeat 50 times , you're trying to get hot air thru the unut to flush crap but NOT inhale into your lungs!
Or clean chamber/top with ISO, again, to remove any possible contaminants so unit is clean.
Hope you get it performing as it should

Sealant seems right in front of me behind the glass, yeah if you look at it straight it glows and it's nice, but if you inspect my chamber's walls they reveals something like cardboard. They sent me back also my old white plastic piece where there's now a black gummy stuff. The base of it, which i could never reach when installed, brown with pollen stains, lol.
At first I thought it was a tool or something. Then it helped me realize how cheap was the new look compared to the old.

I've had both the glass core and the teflon core for awhile now and personally, I like the teflon better as well.
