Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Just heard back about the Hydrabomb:

"Greetings,

Thanks for reaching out and getting ahold of VapeXhale. Yes, we have received a new shipment of glass in recently and the overall shape/design is a little bit different than the previous tubes. We sent them the same design plans but all of the current glass is looking like this one. We will be updating the pictures soon to reflect the most recent batch of tubes. Please note that every tube is hand blown and there may be slight variations from piece to piece. We can still try to swap you out with one that meets your criteria more closely. Let us know if you would like to send it in and have it swapped out and we will gladly assist you further.

Sincerely,

VapeXsupport"

I responded by saying I'd like to swap it out for one of previous models of the Hydrabomb, and if not, that I'd just like a full refund. We'll see what happens.

What a disappointing response.

They're already implying that this is only a slight difference and subject to the caveat on the site. Blame is shifted to... "them?" The new "Hydrabombs" bear only a passing resemblance to the old ones. The difference is not small. What's the excuse for not updating pictures before people are buying something that they are not going to get?

Well guys.. I'm very upset now and I can't help but speak out about this anymore. It has now BEEN 22 DAYS SINCE I SHIPPED MY EVO IN and to me this is unacceptable. Why is this such a long turn around time? I've sent another email to their customer support (not sure if it's Jeff anymore or not) and am waiting to hear back from them again.

I don't care how much I love the product.. this isn't right. It's a good thing I have cut my herb usage down to just Friday, Saturday and Sunday... (at least for the time being lol) otherwise I would have combusted even more. Yes I have a Plenty but since it's a weed hog, I have resorted back to combustion.. due to the expense of the holidays, I can't afford any more flower. As much as I love this product, this isn't right.

Hey, does anyone know someplace in the greater Toronto area where I can try using the evo? I have a smaller lung capacity and I've read a couple reviews that say you need to be able to take a deep, long draw to get those big clouds.

Is there anyone here with an evo and plenty? I sold my plenty, but used to put a bit of electrical tape around the nozzle to fit an 18.8 joint inverted in a bong with the coil removed. I'm wondering if anyone can try this and compare the hits with the evo. You could us the evo hydratube too instead of a bong.

I'm definitely a cloud chaser, and having a hard time quitting combustion. Probably getting a lsv on boxing day.

I only tried it once with my last 18mm water pipe before I sold it. Let's just say I got about the same results with my Plenty through glass as I did with the E-Nano from Epic Vape... It just doesn't work.... and yes I've seen the videos.

I found when it comes to lung capacity, my HoneyComb HT doesn't require the same lung capacity as it does to pull vapor from glass with the Plenty Or E-Nano in my experience. So from my experience using a HT is almost the same from the old tried and true glass waterpipe. As long as you had no problem hitting bongs before, I think you should be ok.

But yeah, I removed the coil and inverted my plenty into my Bong and I honestly could barely get a cloud. Not sure if it's my lungs or the fact it wasn't really a good connection. I did use my Plenty once on Sunday Night and while it is a weed hog IMO it did get me Plenty Medicated.. it really never disappoints.. until I realize what I put in there could have lasted me two sessions instead of one If I chose to combust it or even use the EVO. Hence my only issue with the Plenty.. The size of the herb chamber.

But back to the EVO...

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know where I might be able to get just 1 or 2 quartz vapexnails for a reasonable price in UK or Europe please?
Vapefiend only seems to sell them in packs of 5 now but as I'm the only one using it, I don't need that many.

I've started squashing some flowers for rosin and would like to see if the quartz nail offers anything different.
I've just been torching my glass nail to get it clean, but the very bottom stays discoloured like a grey/ashy ring and doesn't come off when rubbed with a q-tip. Does this happen to the quartz as well?
Also, do the quartz nails still come with rounded bottoms like test tubes?

Hey buddy,

Yeah the Quartz also discolours on the bottom, goes kind of crystallised.

What I have noticed is the Quartz have less black build up, can go a little hotter without being harsh, are slightly larger in both diameter and length (meaning a nicer draw and the concentrate being closer to the heater) I also believe they are harder to smash

I much prefer them. I smashed glass and don't feel as comfortable torching the shit outa them like I do Quartz due to thermal shock

Can't help with a place to buy individually, but I paid the same price for 2 as I did 5 from vapefiend after the price change so might actually be cheaper to get more. If you can't find anywhere that does the two packs, or even individual. Let me know in a PM might be able to part with one for a brother if ya are totally stuck

Cheers

That sucks. They are usually really good at taking care of customers, so I can only assume you have fallen through the cracks somehow. I've sent them a note about your situation, but I don't know much about it. If you don't hear from them soon, private message me your name or order number or anything that might help me better identify you to them to see if we can't speed this up.

Have you heard what's up with the new Hydratube fiasco and why they're trying to pawn these off on us as if they're normal (and why it's just too much to update images on their site so more people aren't getting screwed)?

In the meantime here's some awesome glass, teased on Instagram. Hope the real stuff is coming soon.

These new HT look lovely. Let's hope the Chinese looking matrix on the bomb is just a blip and they release that recycler soon. I want one.

I also want a piece of glass that functions as well as cannabis connoisseurs American triple uptake. That slow drain is so appealing to me for some reason. Where can I get one? I'm in the uk

My response from VXH:

"George,
We are going to be updating the pictures soon. If you are unsatisfied with the new HydraBomb after receiving it, let us know and we will happily get a refund processed for you."

Boy. It must be a hell of a process to update those pictures and/or product descriptions.

I responded with this:

"Dear Customer Care:
I am already dissatisfied and updating the pictures soon is too late for me (and for many others, no doubt) since you already took my money for a product you do not have. That is known as a bait-and-switch and is unethical and illegal. There is no excuse for continuing to sell these inferior items. I am going to need a refund and I do not intend to pay for the return shipping since there is absolutely no fault on my part. I do not intend to even open the package. Moreover, I would like the refund to be processed as soon as you see that it is back on its way to you if not sooner. This is simply an unacceptable way to do business and you shouldn't be trying to get away with it."

I am having to deal with two refunds from two stores for this same product and neither one seems much concerned with the dissembling going on. WTF?

I've also being doing Rosin in the VXN , and LOVE it .
But yeah , I get the grey ashy bottoms that seems to be
permanently on . I'd always got them pretty clean when
doing concentrates . But since doing Rosin , I cannot get them
as clean . Here's an old pic of my VXN with the clearer bottoms ,
which I would settle for again .

Also @stonemonkey55 ,
Why couldn't the VXN sales be transcended to your
authorized vendors like PV ? ( maybe in 2016 ) ?

poonman,
I always advise friends when investing in a vape - stick with S&B.

Two months ago I didn't listen to my own advise.

I chose the Turbine Hydratube and the one I received was the one pictured on the site. Having blown (soft) glass for years while attending art school for sculpture, I first noticed how "Wonky" the hydratube was. The base was wavy and not flat; the center tube running north wasn't straight and the orientation of the mouthpiece tube did not match the orientation of both logos positions.

Noted recently on this site by multiple users is how the hydratubes have changed in recent batches. Yes the turbine on the site reflects the new changes they are delivering but the other hydratubes are not updated as of right now and reflect a higher quality glass product.

After little digging the difference is clear. The bottom of the old hydratubes have tight seems at the lips instead of the loose flow of the new one. Even the color looks off; the older models with more of a crystal clear rather than the off yellow tint of the new ones (a sign of lower quality glass). The proportions are way off as far as how tall each piece of the hydratube is. Luckily my unit doesn't leak any water but I do feel the drag is too significant for concentrates. The unit pulls the concentrate all the way up the vapexnail upon the tiniest of sips.

I thought I was doing something wrong until I noticed today I had been duped into purchasing an inferior product "on sale".

I would have much rather paid full price for the quality product I (thought I) was investing in and think its a shame that I most likely won't get to try the original product. The reason? I am never spending another dime on this company. What they did was wrong.

My advise to everyone (self included) is stick with S&B. Even with a few defunct Crafty's the company has Never let me down. Period.

I haven't yet received it, Sticks. I'm just not enthused about my purchase any more so I decided to send it back. I would be settling. I'd rather save the money for something cool in the future, like some of the prototypes we've been seeing. It looks like it functions in the Instagram vids, but it doesn't look the same as the function of the old one, and one person complained of it being hard to use without getting water on the lips (twosilvertrees didn't, however).

Been lurking, but disappointed that this is my first post. I ordered an EVO a week ago after hearing so many great things about it and seeing how nice the glass that came with it looked. I just got confirmation that it has shipped but I'm now having second thoughts based on the apparent quality (or lack of) on the new glass that they are coming with. Thanks @KimDracula for doing a bunch of leg work and posting pictures of all of the differences that you have found - its appreciated.

Since mine is already on it's way, I guess I'll post up some pictures when it arrives, just to give another piece of data. I ordered it with the hydrabomb, but if it ends up being all wonky/off center and/or gets water everywhere, then Im definitely sending it back and writing off Vapexhale.

In the meantime, I guess I have to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait to see how things look.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for all of the awesome advice and info!

Hey guys, new here but I've been at vaporents for a while. Ordered the cloud evo after reading the EARLIER reviews in this thread but after reading recent complaints I'm kind of worried. I ordered the hydrahoneycomb, does anybody know if the new honeycomb hydratube is different as the hydrabomb is? Has anybody who has ordered in the last couple days gotten a shipping confirmation?

Hey guys, I guess the only thing I can contribute to this thread is a reminder that experience and taste are subjective. What doesn't appeal to one person doesn't mean it won't work for you! While I don't enjoy my Hydrabomb as much as I do my Turbine (I miss the flavor!) it still seems like a really nice piece, and it works great! So I guess what I'm trying to say is I think it would be wise to reserve your judgment until you get to try it yourself :). There's no use stressing over it when you haven't even gotten to try your unit yet!

Not to say you guys are wrong to have concerns, as every argument brought up in this thread has been completely valid! I just hope no one who ordered an Evo is sitting there feeling bummed out about their purchase. It's a really nice vape currently selling for a decent price.
