Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Man, I want to order a hydra bomb but I have it inverted on a d020 d and it really works well. After reading about some of these tubes I think I will hold off even though I know it is the best way to use this device. Mostly I just want some reassurance that this newer glass is up to snuff. Don't want buyer's remorse because I am very happy thus far. No complaints thus far though, I got mine on Tuesday and my roommate and I have been enjoying it. I grind up my product real fine with the magic flight finish grinder and it seems very efficient in usage. Any of you guys do this? From what I gather you may get bigger clouds with finer grinds as well but would love to hear what you guys recommend

Forgot how nice this thing is with oils. Took a break from them for a month to lower tolerance but woke up today in so much pain I needed that concentrated indica painkilling punch. First thing I grabbed was my torch and nail as the EVO was still heating.

Both the quality of the vapour produced and the ease of experience are incomparible. Even an enail would struggle to beat this things form factor for concentrate use. Just so easy.

So is in the middle of my session Saturday night when I noticed my unit flashing red and green. I was only ten minutes into it and only set to noon, so find it hard to believe it was overheating.
I've already emailed Support about the issue just waiting to hear back from them. Has anybody else experienced the same issue and if so what was the solution?

My unit started flashing green/red very early on during a session, very early on during my ownership of the EVO. I just turned it off and turned it back on, seemed to go away. Never reoccurred, so never perused the issue further.

I have had this happen if I set the EVO on the carpet for to long. I think the carpet blocks the air flow and it gets to hot. I just turn it off and on and it's all good.

I keep my unit on the floor next to my seat on the couch. I'm afraid to leave it on the coffee table for fear of pulling it on the off the table.

Thank you for the response unfortunately it seems that mine does it randomly now. When I reset the evo it works fine then starts flashing again. Waiting on vapexhale to respond to my email so I'll let you knows know what happens.

do you think this 18.8mm stopper would fit in the evo dry mouthpiece?

IMO, silicone works much better and never breaks :)
As @harmless healing said, our FC member @Ratchett sells really nice silicone plugs, pictured below, in 3 sizes.

I can understand it overheating on carpet, but I have mine sitting on my desk with nothing blocking the airpath except the velcro straps for the sleeve.

This happens with my new unit as well. It is annoying and I simply turn off and then on again. I have noticed that I need to give it a second before turning it back on. Always happens if I leave unit on for more than 10-15 min. My plug is incredibly loose as well. I find that more annoying than the overheating. But, it works so awesome otherwise. UGHHH. I'm just not ready to part with it this soon.

@bellas I have the plug issue as well, although thankfully my unit mostly behaves itself otherwise. I find if I wedge the cord in RIDICULOUSLY hard, like past the point where I would normally feel comfortable, it sticks in pretty well.

So sorry to hear about the difficulties you and @Bamafan86 are having!

I haven't notice my plug being loose. I'll investigate that more when I get home.
I love my Evo so much I don't want anything to be anything wrong with it :(

I bet it's the velcro. Try it naked and see if that helps. I don't trust putting that full sleeve on. I wish they made the one they used too that just covered the hot top area.
I actually keep my strap tucked under the lip of the bamboo now. After I noticed it shut off early due to being on the carpet (I think) I try to keep the bamboo as clear as possible. I have a floor vent that I set the EVO on if I set it on the floor when turned on now.

Hope that fixes it. The air vents on top should be open too.
So far so good! I've always cut the top vents free and clear of anything blocking them. Turned it to hit for ten minutes then let it cool back down to noon loaded a bowl that lasted about 20 minutes then back to full blast for my first ever dab from some rosin that I made!
