Sweet, thanks. I don't think you're alone in wanting a gen2. any rumors on one in the works?

I don't think you're alone in wanting a gen2

I wouldn't have a clue... But maybe we should start our gen 2 features list here.

I would like:

- similar form factor
- haptic feedback when at temp
- light that is a little less visible
- a proper oil attachment or cartridge
- a battery that doesn't take five hours to charge
- a dial that is less prone to accidental movement
- perhaps most importantly, an oven door that props open

Sure I can think of more, tweaks mostly, nothing revolutionary... It's a pretty bang up device as far a I'm concerned. Oh, I thought of one more, a revolutionary change of sorts....airflow intake along channels that run counter current to the oven to preheat the incoming air, but more so than the prima, to create som convective extraction. Wait, no, ha ha, probably would need to substantially mess with the size/weight to achieve that....or maybe not, I'm thinking a butane bossed hybrid vape maybe, butane for preheating, whooaaa ss haze brainwave

Just wanted to share my mods with the community. I installed a small spring that keeps oven door open when not latched. Also removed rubber piece and covered the hole with aluminum foil.

This mod makes use of a second screen ('sandwich mod') for small loads easier to handle.

I've discovered that Alfa is a kick ass vape for using with ungrounded material. I'm talking about Uber dry, broken buds about 2-4mm in diameter, lightly packed to cover t bottom half of the oven. A magic flight wooden brush is a perfect packing tool. This method maintains a good flavour profile and extends the time until the flavour drops off. It is less efficient with material, unless you break up and stir and hit it some more. Yum

I would like to share with the FC community how frustrated I am with Goboof. I am very unhappy with the customer service.

I ordered an Alfa directly from the Goboof website. It came swiftly, only to find that the charging port on the device was badly misaligned as you can see from this picture...
IMG_8043%201.jpg

As you can expect I packed the device up ready to send back to Goboof. Unused. I then decided (seeing as I vape for health reasons) that I did not want a vape from a company that was so slapdash with how they put their devices together. So I asked for a full refund, of which is my right as the device was faulty. It is also by UK law my right to have Goboof pay for the return postage. When I asked for a refund they sent me back terms and conditions that are not included anywhere on their website such as a 15% restocking fee. I told them I would not be paying this. After numerous emails they confirmed that I would get a full refund (they did not mention anything about postage), and asked me to return the item and email the tracking number to them.

So I returned the item and sent them the tracking number. I am supposed to receive a refund within 10 working days of the item being received. It has been 19 days or 15 working days now since the device has been with them (royal mail tracking proves this) yet they say they have not received the item, and have not responded to my emails since (13 days ago). I have sent numerous polite emails asking when I will receive my refund with NO REPLY.

If I had bought this device in a shop or even an online retailer then it would be a simple process. It should not be so much effort to get a refund. The amount of time and energy I have put into this is just not acceptable. I have a life and work to do and I feel they are being difficult on purpose.

It is a lot of money to me and Christmas is on the horizon. Goboof, a company who has the money to launch its vaporiser across the world, is making life difficult for the little guy. I think its pushing around 20 emails I have sent to Goboof now, and I still do not have my money back.

I did NOT want to post this. I know sometimes things are not always smooth sailing. I know that Goboof answers its phones and emails in California but assembles their units in the UK (being UK based is why I have not called them) but I feel that people should know about my experience with this company.

GOBOOF HAVE LOST MY RESPECT NOT ONLY BECAUSE THEY SENT ME A POORLY ASSEMBLED UNIT, BUT BECAUSE THEY HAVE MADE THINGS SO DIFFICULT FOR ME.

I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SEND 20 EMAILS IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET MY MONEY BACK FOR A FAULTY ITEM.

AN UNHAPPY CUSTOMER - WHO IS STILL OUT OF POCKET!

Honestly, other than HerbalAire, I know of no companies that will give you a full money back if you are unsatisfied for any reason. All they have to do IMO is send you a replacement. Even retailers have a no refund policy, and if they do it's usually with a hefty restock fee. Just my 2 pennies.

My charging port is slightly misaligned as well, though not as badly as yours @sativasam. My unit is really finicky when charging. Basically I can't touch the unit while charging else it will lose the connection.

Vapes R Great
tonight I was feeling adventurous so I busted out the Alpha and my kief stash.
Packed the chamber full of kief sandwiched between two screens. Probably the most kief I have used at once lol, at least a g.
Usually I do the sandwich between some erb but today I said screw it.
Anyways probably took about 20 huge blasts out my water tool until I was ripped out of my skull and had to tap out lol. Only way to use this little beast is with a water tool IMO.

Can I see your water tool setup? I was selling my pinnacle with my arizer solo now you got me second guessing it.

Loving your mods! I find it a PITA trying to keep the down open while cleaning and loading.

I just use the stock mouthpiece and it fits in a 14mm male joint or invert the mouthpiece for a 14mm female.

Thanks!

Spring in the oven door is actually quite easy to add.

I got my spring from the toy similar to this one: http://www.amazon.com/Bakugan-Boost...e=UTF8&qid=1450154023&sr=1-7&keywords=Bakugan

1) Take the outer Alfa's shell off.
2) Remove oven door and metal door part.
3) Using small file tool (or dremel tool) cut-out a narrow slot in the middle of that metal door thing to fit in a small spring(look at my pictures in the post above).
4) Insert spring and assemble the door.
5) Remove rubber piece by pulling it off.
6) Cover the hole with a small piece of aluminum foil tape.
7) Assemble Alfa

Unfortunately I'm away from home (and Alfa)) and can not take additional pictures. I wish Goboof added this(or something similar) in the first place to make it easier to load and clean Alfa.

I received an Alfa directly from Goboof with a few issues I am in the middle of trying to resolve. It is a sweep vape though and is very satisfying. My Alfa has a serial number on a sticker on the box and on a similar sticker on the receipt from Goboof, but none on the inside of the door as I see here. Has anyone else received an Alfa with the serial number missing from the inside of the door?

My 2 week old Alfa Goboof has a problem with temperature control.
There is no more response on the temperature control wheel.
It is heating to max temperature on low setting and get very hot, also the vapor.
Here is the video:

Is there any fix maybe?

Give them a call. The email system is spotty, and they answered the phone on the first try. They have a U.S. based customer service and return address.

Just an update to say that Goboof refunded my money at the end of last week. They received the device nearing the end of November and I received my refund just over a week ago at the beginning of January. It was supposed to take 10 days from the device being returned to get my refund. It took more than a month!!!

It took way too much time from my life due to a serious (and suspicious) brake down in communication on their part. It took me over 25 emails. The last time we had spoken was when I had gone on their website to talk to them through 'live chat' as they had been ignoring my emails. The person I spoke with was in America and tried to call their offices in the UK only to find that no one was there to answer. Seeing as the US and the UK have totally different time zones this seemed a bit ridiculous and was maybe an act so as to seem like they had some actual customer service. This was before Christmas. In the new year I still did not receive my money so I sent them an email saying I was going to my bank to get them to sort it out. Still I had no reply from them at first but now the money has gone in!

The one thing I will say that I am pleased with, is that Goboof paid for my return postage, which I thought they would try and wriggle out of. So I got a FULL refund in the end! I did not loose a penny. And I thank them for that as it means a lot to me after all this. That I am impressed with. It took way more effort and time than is acceptable though.

Why the Pax2 over the Alfa? Just curious because I tried the Pax2 and didn't care much for it, probably due to being a noob and using poor technique, otherwise i'm just not a sipper but rather a ripper.

Was thinking about picking the one up from Classifieds, but i'm a bit suspect of the reliability of these. They're not super expensive, and I just sold my Crafty in favour of the Grasshopper, but it arrived DOA and is in warranty and I may just list it on eBay, so I figured the Alfa could replace the Crafty as a more affordable tiny vape.

Pretty quiet in this thread...... guess I have much reading to catch up on!

If you did not like the pax2 most likely you will not like the alfa , in allot of ways they are similar , even in the way they heat the material. I have owned the Alfa for over a year and used it allot and the pax 2 at the same time. imo pax 2 kills it in cleaning , ease of use and i felt battery life was on par , maybe a bit better with the p2. Pax 2 is very easy to use , you just stuff it with herb and start it up and it works well. I would say both vapes are somewhat sipping vapes , your not gonna get massive lung busting rips like a crafty or mighty but they do produce good vapor. I feel the pax 2 wins against the alfa , it has a 10yr warranty and customer service is great , i had to jump through so many hoops with my Alfa repair it was not even funny.
