Got ma' GONGs

Nano is on concentrate duty tonight!

God I love the flavour at 7.5 there's really no need to raise it to max temps at all.

I think it's pretty epic to have a vape that can handle concentrates so well, and then switch immediately to herbs.

What would you consider max temp? I've only pushed up to 8, even though I use steel wool mostly. With cotton, I'd be afraid to scorch it! Have you ever ventured up to 10? What temp would that translate to?

The Enano goes up to 11 but folks don't go past what it's comfortable to vaporize. We will have to ask Enano users, what is the highest they have vaporized?

I've gone as high as 7.5. It was too hot for me, I was using water.

The object is to vaporize, you might combust at higher temps and that taste like a joint.

I meant this for concentrates/oils only. For plants, I'll go to7.5 max for the dry stem (although i normally cruise along at 6.5 during the day). I have to drop the temperature to 7 for a waterpipe, for some reason I draw incredibly slow on a water tool for close to a minute, at 7.5 I've accidentally combusted, and we all know how this forum feels about that practice!

I rarely go over 6.75. When I first got the nano I wanted to know where the average combustion was on the dial and anything above 7 is too close to combustion for me.

E-NANO ... I sold my volcano after I bought my nano... crafty is lying around and I am thinking of selling it... and if I am using it then when I am on the go... but for that I more often use the esv then the crafty as a portable...

yes the e-nano is efficient
but also the taste of the nano is great, the taste of the volcano was not as strong as from nano...
also using those micro doses with nano 0.03 to 0.05g you get more fresh tasty hits as in the volcano...
in the volcano I used in the bowl 0.2g and besides the taste was not up to the taste of the nano maybe more air mixed with vapor in the volcano
also I got 4 bags with the 0.2g in the volcano I got only really good tasting vapor from the first bag...
vapor density is also better with the nano for me, I use my nano more or less now with a bubbler dry (without water) and as I said often in this thread the e-nano cured my VAS for desktop units...
this is my (subjective) opinion...

Wow man i keep hearing mixed things about the nano but i will add mostly good things. I may have to just get this so i too can cure my VAS for desktops before it starts. So with lets say with 0.05 do you get really medicated...if so thats a ton of money i can save lol

to be honest that is a though question because everybodies tolerance is different... but I can say that I am clearly using less and therefore saving... as earlier mentioned the e-nano is well known for its efficency...

My average bowl currently is about .035. Last time I measure out a gram (when I was using bigger bowls), I got 23 bowls out of that, and that's about .045 bowls.
1 bowl makes me feel it pretty good (1 super fat hit, another average hit, and a 3rd wispy hit that I sometimes don't hit)
2 bowls gets me perfect/almost perfect
3 bowls is really good or next level,
4+ bowls is just intense.

I normally do 2-3. and that's probably about a .07-.09, and that's more stoned than I'd get with a .4 joint.

I have a low tolerance, and I do well on less than .05 with the nano. Sometimes I can space that out, a hit or two at a time every hour or two for the whole evening.

Love the nano talk.

Always positive except for those who are waiting anxiously, as most if not all nano owners have done.

Night time come I fill a stem light. Do a nice draw slow or fast doesn't matter and I'm good for a while. If I go back I put a little fresh on top and give another go and then I run out of hours and go to bed.

The nano's efficient because it kicks ass. If you want a light buzz better not go too much past 6.

I can honestly say that the nano has squelched my VAS for home vaping. I just haven't even thought of wanting another vape since the nano. Portable wise I have enough of those and I don't wander off too often anyway. I mostly vape at home in the evenings and so the nano has been perfect for me.

The only thing is I wish I had some concentrates to try in the nano. I only have access to flower and then only a few strains. It now takes me about 2 bowls @ 4-5 hits per bowl to get me where I want. With 2-3 sessions per night, that's a lot of vaping for me. The water pipe helps. I want to try my hand at taking less hits with some hash concentrates. Someday... :rolleyes:

While the Nano is considered by most to be a power hitter, the only VAS I could see through only having a Nano would be having a bigger sized bowl for groups as well as being a true power house. Maybe also a non-stir vape like the HA.
I feel like a Nano, LSV and HA would hit literally everything when it comes to Desktops.

If you just want a vape for your own use and like a hands on experience, a Nano will fulfill every single need you might have, between ashcatchers/Jhooks and custom stems, you'll never run out of idea.
And the medicated level you achieve can be astronomical

i managed to put a couple of small scratches in my nano by putting it carelessly into the bag against the plugs prongs, its only a couple of small scratches but i know they are there, any ideas how to smoooth them out?

Also included a pic of my current setup, im still using the nano daily and since getting the bubbler i have only smoked two spliffs in two weeks(i was smoking 10 spliffs a day with tobacco not long ago), the difference to my chest and throat is amazing!

Temp questions:

I vape at 5,5 to 7 for bud and then 7 to 8 for concentrates

vape log lotions question:

I am using home made stuff, its 80% purified bee wax and 20% rapeseed oil

(no idea if its a good idea or not)

My stem is so doge:

its just the normal straight stem and a silicon ring to connect it to the 18mm glass screen gong, figured it out yesterday and now I am finally loving the dry stem, I could not get the basket screen to hit as smoothly as just the gongs so I stopped using it for some time but came back to it and loving it now

Its the fact I can pop the gong off and leave it to heat in the Enano, the stem just pops right into the silicon and holds on tight enough

My "silicon" ring heat fix:

thick leather and some thread, I made it the day after I got the Enano and its been working great to add some extra finger protection, I leave my gongs in to keep them warm before hitting them.

I had this vape for 2 or 3 weeks now and its totally amazing ... cant even remember when I got it !!!

I can see you have a hole puncher and some tools for working with it, I had this piece of leather for couple of months and been planning on making a sheath for my gardening sheers, I am a farmer and use them a lot and want to have them on me at all times, but I plan on getting a good holes puncher first.

you can try collecting and scraping the oils from you gong (the brown "goo") and collect them (best done after taking few hits then scrape it with the epic)... it is solventless oil... I mix it with some herb...

@AegonT if you don't want to sand it down, try rubbing walnuts on the scratches. The oil will help make the scratches disappear. If you do choose to sand start with a high grit, 220 or above, and sand with the grain lightly. The best results will come from being patient and making many passes, not quickly removing material. Once you get the scratches out, lightly sand the whole thing and refinish the entire log instead of trying to get one spot to match the rest. If you choose to sand you might want to consider covering the heater with masking tape to block particles from getting in there.

My dings and scratches are part of the love.

I use BAB about once a month-ish, just a tiny dab, rub well into warm ENano. If it feels oily, rub off excess with soft cotton (pillowcase fabric works well - or a bandana).

Over the years, the wood darkens, the scratches turn even darker, and the character of it just mellows. Embrace the beauty.
