When "lives are in your hands", drug use is frowned upon. But I can drink like a fish until I pass out..... Gotta love bullshit politics

In the state of WA ( legal cannabis) a lot of private businesses require a drug test for employment. So you would need to be self employed to really be completely free? Even with that my husband is self employed and runs his own business. The state or those businesses that hire him requires him to get random drug tests because he works with large machinery. I don't know if we are ever going to be free. Maybe it's the insurance companies to blame?

My husband quit using cannabis 20 years ago because of his job.

I work at a job where my company gets contracted out, thus I am really never subject to a drug test through the parent company, but on the spur of the moment if we get a job, I can potentially get tested by the clients very quickly if they so choose too.

Just did 5 weeks out of town last month, my Quik-Fix + Leg strap was on 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. And after working such long hours, the dab in the hotel at the end of the day really hit the spot. Fuck prohibition though, swear I lost weight around my right thigh from sweating all day lol.

As some of you know I'm in Rhode Island which is a mmj friendly state and also decriminalized up to an Oz. But The company I work for is a federally regulated, so they have a ZERO tolerance for MJ.

I've recently been told they will be implementing and acting on a random drug test policy. It's been suspicion drug test so far and I've been dealing with that just fine. And rather than pee tests they're going to start using hair.

MJ is literally the only thing I use, not even common aspirin. But MJ is the hardest to get out of your system and its the most frowned upon. I can't even imagine how much of an asshole in going to be without mj. My anxiety is going to sky rocket n I bet I'll pick up cigs again too.

It's too early to tell but if I see them actually start doing this I'll have no choice but to stop. This job is all I have, I'm a high school drop out with no experience besides the my current field. I would be stupid to chance losing 90k+ a year. I will be fucked in plain English!

It kills me to even think like that. All I can hope for is by some miracle it's legalized federally and they figure out a way to detect levels of thc or whatever to an amount rather than saying 'yup he smoking within the past month plus'.

If it does happen my contribution to FC will be minimal a best but I'll do my best to keep in touch with some of you guys.

I may be getting ahead of myself here but I usually plan on the worst case scenario. That way there aren't any surprises and I'm not let down.

But I would like to thank FC and all its members for all the information and great people I've come to know and love as my own family. Special thank you @vtac @momofthegoons @stickstones and other founders and moderators for starting and this amazing community and making it what it is today.

As for the other members, I won't even begin to list names because I know I'll forget someone. So to everyone in general thank you all for contributing to FC and helping become the log snob I am today.

Also to the amazing vendors/friends on here @Ed's TnT @Snappo @underdog @underdogette @ACE OF VAPE @Ratchett @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd and others I'm sure I missed, thank you for all the great products you all have made me. Also please do not take any offense if you see some of your custom stuff in the classifieds if I liquidate my collection. I wish I could justify keeping it all but I just can't.

So this isn't goodbye just yet but this has been on my mind the past couple days since I've heard about it. I needed a place to share. Idk if it qualifies as a thread because there isn't much else to say, besides we'll see what happens...

Whatever you do Nick don't pick up a cigarette! That helps no one least of all yourself & you will be filthy you picked them up again. In Australia they have a saliva test kit that lets the coppas know if you have used cannabis "recently" & by that I believe it is within the last 6 hours of something. If companies tested that way I would not have an issue much like they can breathalyze you for alcohol.

I live under the same cloud as the Nick since the American multinational I work for has implemented a random testing policy of very similar nature it appears (test on suspicion for existing employees & a pre screen for outside applicants). I too did not finish high school & went to the university of life lessons but have somehow wound up in a good job that pays well & have worked there for over a decade.

I am prepared to take the risk simply because I know I have options available & my company has a counselling & assistance program for employees with a three strikes rule. I am a mature adult who chooses to use cannabis daily. I am stoned most of the time from Friday evening til Sunday & stoned every evening Mon-Fri. I would also never dream of coming to work affected by drugs be it legal or not. I take pride in & am very fucking good at what I do, my performance is exemplary. If they want to test me they can try....

When I did apply for another job I failed a piss test after beating 60 other applicants & going through multiple rounds of interviews & panel presentations etc. It cost me anywhere between $40-60kpa. I actually do not regret it as I can now see it paid well because it was the kind of job that burns you out in a couple of years, try explaining that to the ex (who was extremely anti cannabis as it was).
