So I got one of those Easy Flow bubblers from Europe and I like it a lot. But there is an issue with cleaning because the design doesn't really give you any way to have flowing water, or even an obvious way to get cleaning liquid into some of the parts. So I emailed them, and they suggested an ultrasonic cleaner.

I don't have that bubbler, but have a couple of similar ones that I have no trouble cleaning. I would not recommend Ultrasonics since they can stress things like the inner feed tube if it hits a resonance (which makes the free end whip about) and will not do anything toward your problem getting solutions into the inner parts. It also would tend to defeat the way PBW attacks deposits using the free Oxygen by sucking the Oxygen away as fast as it forms I'd think. And it will defeat the main factor controlling the action with PBW, heat. The sink will pull the heat from the solution in a fraction of a minute. Your call.

I clean mine by immersion and agitation. I use a 'Travel Tube' from PV for the stems that fit, and a cylindrical bottle often used for catchup or salad dressing on the table for those that don't. In goes a dash of PBW, hot tap water maybe 2/3 full and put the cap on. Gentle shaking and inversions gets the solution into most places. I then put it in the bowl of water in the sink I ran the tap into while it got hot. The water bath keeps the solution hot and working full tilt. Taking it out a few times, gentle agitation and inversion moves the solution through the works (leaving it inverted allows contact with all areas). If you do it 'right' you can watch solution flush through the works.

Immerse the whole thing and flush the solution through using gravity and inertia. Then let it 'sit and cook', while keeping it hot.

5 minutes do it if you've not let it go too far. Carefully rinse (it's going to be slick.....) the outside then flush water through backwards. Run a fine stream from the faucet down it while holding at a slight angle and you can see a stream of fresh water flowing through the upper trap tube, this is rinsing the PBW out. Invert a few times to get the top of the water chamber. Then shut off the water, invert it and blow through from the bowl. That should leave very nearly the right level of water if the trap is set right. Test it and shake/blow a bit more out if needed and vape on.

Sometimes I run two Travel Tubes at the same time. I can easily clean all needed while making tea in the morning this way.

Man, bank account took a bit of a hit. Various online retailers visited and many stems enjoyed. Details are as follows:

Puffitup order: straight glass stem, set of screens, two sets of rubber stem caps, Granadillo H20 stem.
DHgate: D020
Planetvape: 18mm PVHEGonG, 14mm PVHEGonG
Ebay: Pinnacle Microshower

Should be fun for a bit!

Fuck yeah @Jethro!!! That should keep you amused for a while.

I love my pvhe gong. Before I put my SS screen in I form it into a dome shape. I place it in the gong with the dome facing up then press it in so it flattens out a bit and fits snug. This keeps a little gap between the underside of the SS screen and the glass screen of the gong. I think it helps keep the screen cleaner and the airflow open.

It might not matter with a turbo gong though?

Since I took this picture I have added the complete Ddave kit, so the EQ now works even better and is much easier to use and keep clean.

Since I have an EQ and 2 Solos. I should just complete the set and get the Air too! :D

That makes sense. I've now been through probably 8 or 10 stems total on my new Solo. I think I OD'd last night! 3 stems in a row while shopping. This device is a power plug. I can't believe I have relied on no other vape than my PAX, Solo is cheaper and blows it away really. The taste of really good bud in the PAX at low is really awesome for a few hits then after it soaks in itself it goes bad fast. I think the Solo heats up faster and doesn't cook the bud nearly as much. Flavor is superb and for a much longer time. I think I extract better- or should I say more efficiently than my PAX. Anyway, I got SEVERELY medicated last evening reading here and ordering from all over the planet and can see how the stem screen will get dirty quick. So I will try doming the screen in an effort to reduce maintenance. Puffitup, where I ordered my Solo from originally included a bunch of them but they are really close to the same size as the stem screen. Do I order something bigger? Please don't tell me I need to make more online orders! I've done enough damage!

I obviously prefer portables. Someday I need to own a desktop, but it's hard to resist the lure of these sexy portables when it comes time to buy:doh:. I want an Air as well! Are the bowls the same size so I can run all the Gongs and stems I bought last night in it? That might make the purchase much easier!

Yes the Air and Solo use the same stems
If you do get an Air get an extra battery, 2 Air batteries will get you about the same run time as the Solo

There's an ebay seller that sells 1/2 domed screen
There may be a link in the Best of Solo thread
Here's a link I found
http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Arizer-S...898050?hash=item2ee81fdd82:g:9hgAAOxyyUtSbtzv

About $1 each but if you don't lose them they last a LONG time
And with all the stems you have well worth the $10 for 10 although I did recurve 12 .

Or you could get 5/8 screen and shape them yourself over a Sharpie

Those screens look cool but they might be too domed and reduce the bowl size to much for me. That might be a positive for someone else though.

I ordered my solo from puffitup too and I'm pretty sure that's where I got my extra screens from. I got the fine ones.

@Jethro if your screens are to small for the dome trick let me know and I'll mail you some of my screens. I've got like 100 :D

I think I'm gonna hold off on the screens for now. Although those are free shipping... we'll see. Do the screens fall out easier when you tap out your ABV? That may or may not be a good thing.

Thanks for the offer man, I will report back! I'm gonna rip another stem this morning! WAKE AND BAKE

I looked at my Planet vape order and see I don't think they have the Gong I really wanted, the Vortex. They have a shorty in 18mm, but I don't think I want a shorty. I got the high efficiency one, but it doesn't look as durable. Is it as good as the Vortex?

If you don't want to reduce the volume, put them in 'dome down'. They are superior to flat screens in that they don't simply jam in the small fraction of the screen that covers a hole (the entire screen 'works' with the curve) and the mesh is much heavier so it fouls slower and is easy to 'flame clean' and reuse. The rims are fused so they don't shed strands of wire as well.

IMO well worth the money......our own Sinclue found them and cued us in.

Oooh, I like that aspect. Think I'm gonna buy them. I hate when you have those metal hairs hanging after cleaning!

And I have a little glass addiction with DHgate. I think I need help. Just bought one of these....

These bubblers would cost HUNDREDS in my local head shop. Probably $199. It's so cheap on that site! Going to have to keep out of that cheap glass thread.

I have this one called the FC UFO and it works well with my Log.
D022 works well for a LOG as well!

Need to try a SOLO on it?

I use a D020 for the SOLO now.

Glass is fun!

CANNABIS is awesome and glass makes it shine!

Of my collection I use the FC UFO, D022, D020 the most!

Doesn't your PBW with hot water work for you??
I use @Ratchett silicone plugs and dissolved/hot water PBW with all my bubblers and hydratubes and that combo works great.
Plug one end, add mixture, plug the other end, plugs give a secure hold to shake a little if needed. Empty and rinse 2 or 3 times.
Hydratube style like your Easy Flow takes a little patience to get water into all sections but securely holding and shaking gently gets water to all portions.

I'm not as rich as you!

I use my rubber wine plugs from my wine-o-vac kit.

However the same principle.

I use PBW as well!

For you PBW owners who also have dishwashers, have you tried a spoonful in the dishwasher? The chemicals they include to counter the potential very hard water cleans off the 'haze' of mineral deposits in the washer like magic........

do you use in addition to the regular dishwasher soap or just the PBW?

I run it alone, short wash, single rinse, no dry. I guess I don't see a reason not to wash dishes with it but I would not recommend combining detergents.

FWIW it also did a bang up job on the pitch stains on the patio, better than the stuff the hardware store guy recommended.

My wife is going to be so stoked after I run a cycle of PBW in our DW.

Better write something about the SOLO?

I was listening to GANJA MUSIC and the song called Cali Green by Mystic came on while I was in the garden SOLOing and I got to where I feel nothing!

Time to read!
