JyARz Storage Containers

@MinnBobber - Yeah, I know. It's a mess. I started out with just a few Jyarz, Black and Blue for Sativas, Orange for Indicas and Green for Hybrids.

Then they had to go and legalize recreational cannabis in my state. So instead of the typical 2 or 3 strains I've been holding for years, I now have 30+. So fuck it, I gave up about a month ago trying to color coordinate this shit anymore. Maybe I'll start swapping lids like I've seen a few do around here.

Expect another order tonight Aldo, just waiting to hear back if a friend or two want any(more).

I Just opened up one of my new unused classics and the bottom gasket is all haggared, split and twisted. I was real bummed because I have something that needs stored. Here are a couple of pictures.

Aldo is working on a fix right now, I only have one classic with a black gasket, and it too is shredded. My white gaskets are still perfect.

Same here, my white gasket Classics are fine, black gaskets not fine.

Have you ever wished your order did NOT ship fast??
I was trying to change part of my order from 2 (more) blue to 2 red as I have no red Classics.
It shipped too quick and now I'll have blues up the kazoo

I guess that leaves future reds open

All the white gaskets in all versions of my JyARz are in pristine condition. I Like the white gaskets better myself. What does everyone else think? :hmm:

I like the white better EXCEPT they seem to get pulled up with the glass , when you pull out the liner.
I wonder if one drilled a small hole in the center of the white---would it stay in place??

Another black gasket data set:

All of my older Classics (older than 6 months and with the white gasket) are fine.

3 new classics that I received two weeks back vary. Classic 1 is definitely close to toast with the flanges almost cutting all of the way through the gasket; Classic 2 has slight (1/8") permanent indentations from the flanges; Classic 3 is pristine, due to it having a thin circular piece of plastic between it and the flange. I'm assuming the third one is the fix?

I'm thinking I'll just cut my own piece of plastic to help protect the 2nd one.

Hope that helps. Also, if it helps, Classic 1 is Green, 2 is Teal and 3 is Purple.

I think the white are what we need and want. Why add a plastic disk that's just a patch not a real fix. So what if at times the white gaskets move around. Push it down/back in. Wow...a whole couple of seconds spent making sure they are in place every now and again. BIG deal. ..not really. They work perfectly in my eyes. But hey call me crazy!

@slowandsteady the black ones have their own smell also. The smell over time is far less pronounced and in no way has ever transferred or effected taste, smell or flavor of anything that I've stored in the JyRAz.

Also, the top gasket is still white. I believe the top one would transfer more smell to the material with the lower one being mostly blocked by the glass container sitting on top of it. I've never had a problem with smell though, be it the orange, white or black gaskets.

Once used enough, I don't have a problem with the white gaskets being "sucked up" when I remove the glass. I liked it when they were sucked up though, it gave me an excuse to dust them off.

I like the black, thicker more protection from drops and doesn't ride up. The riding up of the white ones bugs me a lot lol. Just need a more durable solution!

The black ones may be thicker but are far less dense than the white gaskets. Plus the black seem to hold onto moisture way more. if the white ones even do at all. I don't think they offer any more protection. I like the resistance felt when tightening the lid on the JyRAz with bottom white gaskets. It let me know I was locked, protected and ready.
Why the black n white strife thing....can't we all just get along! Bwahhhaha I kid I kid.

Ps. I've had the bottom black gasket chase the glass out towards the top a few times. It's Just unfortunate that they are self destructing. I love my JyARz!

Yup, I'm sorry this is our fault. I'm working on the fix. Have samples on the way. Once I confirm the tests I'll order parts asap. Then I'll post a process for the fix here. I'm very sorry about this issue, we missed it in testing the new shocks.

And no I don't view the new disks as a "patch" they are a complete solution to the problem. I just need to ensure that they'll hold up under repeated usage will take me a couple of days to assess.
