The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

My first EQ started to change the temp on me. I would have it set to 230 and it would jump to like 185 or 250. For a while I was blaming my mates, thinking they were playing funny buggers when I went into the house for drinks but then it started happening more often and when they weren't around. Shortly after my EQ started displaying an error code and was replaced under warranty.

How long do you have left on your warranty? I'm not saying yours will definitely fail but it may be worth an email to the retailer now just in case.

One of my favorite things about the Original DDave 18mm short adapter is how the screen stays right in place ... the Arizer Cyclone Bowl's screen was always moving around (to one degree or another), even after I got it to "behave" relatively better.
The result from switching to the Dave adapter is that the EQ heater screen remains clean ... with the stock Cyclone bowl, I was forever blowing material (not a lot ... usually just a piece or two of herb) off of the heater cover screen, and therefore down into the EQ.
The Dave adapter design is a 99.9% improvement in regards to keeping material in the bowl where it's supposed to be, and not into the vape.

Along with Arizer's All Glass Mini-Whip, the set up is highly efficient, low maintenance, and relatively simplistic ... the balloon bags are a nice alternative to the excellent Air portable.



For taste, the Air is awesome ... for a predictably even and smooth delivery, the bags are great ... both products compliment each other nicely :-)

The AIR I can not comment because I hate to deal with batteries.

Not knocking the Californiasea link, But the man himself @DDave is available in this thread, and he has come up with his own kits. BTW.

He has handpicked and chosen all the parts available in the kits. Most of the users here have already bought kits through him, and have highly praised and recommended the kits here at FC. As for me. Well, I broke the top off my Double Showerhead Recycler Perc when it took a dive. Yes this is the second one I did this to already. Gravity is unkind to glass, and there was a lot of gravity that day. But I was able to clean it up and slide a whip hose through the top and now it works better than new.
Broke the top of my 18mm wand, but with some silicone hose magic... Better than new.. again. Take that gravity. A broken piece to me means two pieces for some other project. But I am going to be overprotective with this Perc for the time being.

Since the EQ has a fan, I could test for air leaks with a dry run. The Perc is small and since I have calibrated everything and cut and formed the hose to where I want it, I can get the Perc to slow bubble on Fan setting 1!. On F3, it bubbles the entire chamber before I even take a draw. I can almost fill a bag after it has been filtered through the Perc. Once I figured a config for that, every combination will be available to me. And My EQ can mimic any other Vape with a few talents of it's own. Imagine a bag filled with water filtered vapor.

I also took a tall square narrow Truffle oil bottle and converted it into a 'cloud catcher'. Essentially, I attach it after the Perc, so I can capture the vapor from the Perc and the EQ into the 'cloud catcher' and extract it much like using a dry bong. Might get cute and come up with a gravity bong version in the future. that's the latest at CFRLB.

I just purchased another eq from vapefiend.com, I like to have 2 of everything. Just in case.

So do the new models come with the all glass mini whip.? And is this a sign of if I have been sold the latest model.

My next question is what are the possibilities with 2 eq's?
I bet @CuckFumbustion could muster up some cool setups.

I was going to imagine a scenario that would be cool. But the truth is, I would be using both of those EQ's right now if I could! As I type, I'm revaping light ABV with my PAX and a whip-perc arrangement. While my EQ is warming up some heady tea blend. (Lemon Grass. Lemon Balm, German chamomile, and various mints.) Yes, I would be taking that Y adapter and mix the two. You are already getting ahead of me...

Some use their EQ for extraction, So that could be doing some kitchen duty while the other unit would be for direct vaping. I also mentioned elsewhere in another thread that the EQ is a good candidate for foodies. It even resembles a kitchen appliance and can double as a food dryer. (Haven't come up with a method for myself yet.)

Nice to have an extra desktops for insurance, right? If you are far away from Canada and one of your EQ's needs to be sent back, it takes time to be sent to the retailer and later to Arizer. It was a long process for me to RMA. Must be brutal if you have to send it over seas.

Yea @kellya86, if vapefiend goes through enough units, they should have the latest whip hose upgrade and balloon kit, I believe from reading here at FC.

Fuck, I'm an idiot. It was a spur of the moment purchase today. Dont feel too bad i did get a flowermate v5.0s for £39.30 black friday.
Like you say, if my eq has to go back to Canada I'll be waiting a while. Also I get very obsessive about having things perfect. So now I can fully abuse my original eq with smoke bombs and wind tunnels and all sorts of modding, without the worry of killing or harming it.

I like the idea of mixing 2 vapours together like that. This is why your the mad scientist. I need to go buy more glass to accommodate the new arrival. And talk to ddave about more backup adapters. Just bought 30m of silicone tubing too. Is this VAS?


Also is is only the all glass whip that is different, I assumed there would be some minor sensor upgrades or something on the unit itself.

Can't remember who or what post, But there was some mention in this thread about some of the more recent changes. Examine the paint job and materials used for the cap when the new unit arrives. Arizer does upgrade and change out what they use. My unit is return from an RMA from April from Arizer. So it is less than a year old.
Some users have mentioned some minor issues with paint and cosmetic changes long after I received mine. If you want to scour this thread for answers.
But You may very well be informing us of the newer changes. In a worst case, you can send the unit back and get an even better unit from Arizer direct from the source. But oh the waiting........

In the long run, you still might have made the better decision anyway, being in the UK and everything. I'm guessing that Vapefeind is an authorized dealer for Arizer. Consider the price difference you paid as to how much your piece of mind is worth. I've passed on several Ebay deals because I don't want to pay for an pig in a poke.

Just recently someone gave a decent recommendation here for a US authorized seller that has their units repaired in the US, Or so I read.
Otherwise. If I come up with any 2 EQ projects, I'll pass them on to you. Let us know how the smoke bombs and wind tunnels work out.

The EQ is a desktop vaporizer with a 3 speed fan setting that can vape at much lower temps, AC power, 18mm male connection, convection heat.
Solo in contrast being a portable conduction vape. At the very least, It would save the battery life of your Solo, if you were in the habit to use it at home. So it would be an 'upgrade' and would perhaps compliment your Solo. I own 2 conduction portables (PAX, SUMMIT,) and one convection desktop. (EQ)

With the EQ you can experiment and Mod your setup. Most FCers here have already purchased a DDave mod kits that @DDave has been selling on Ebay with similar results that you have been aiming for.

It would certainly be an upgrade from the Solo in regards to raw power & flexibility in use . The problem is you are tied to a power outlet (unless you get a power pack) but as you already have a Solo I do not see the issue. The EQ is not quicker to heat up properly but it will stay hot constantly & you do not need to be as mindful of draw speed.

As it has a universal 18mm male connection you are limited by your imagination as to what you can do & so many people on here have their own little tweaks that do wonders for the units performance. That 18mm connection is what separates the EQ from the usual competitors simply meaning you don't have to use propriety fitting.

When people are talking about "mods" for the EQ always remember that these mods make a great vaporizer greater not a bad vape good . It excels at lower temperature vaping & provided you get a quality silicone whip provides beautiful, flavoursome vapor you can sip all afternoon.

However if you choose to connect it to a waterpipe & crank it up a bit you will find yourself properly thwacked & shit gets very real indeed. My EQ performs so well I am keeping it in the cupboard during the week as it makes me want to overindulge because of the thick, rich vapor I get filling my bubbler.

How are you getting to milk like that? I can milk pretty well but not that well.

Does anyone actually own the battery pack for the eq. I was just wondering how good it is, and if it's worth buying.

There are a few battery packs I know of that are compatible with the EQ. If interested let me know and I'll find my data on them.

I thought there was only one pack available. Iv been looking at the one on vapefiend.com. would love to know how long they last and if they really produce the same experience as being plugged in.

Hello everybody, this is my first post. I LOVE this forum!

Been vaping on MFLB since last year. My bf told me about it as I was going on about stopping smoking practically everyday and he used to have one. While I couldn't switch fully over to vaping full time with it, I still wanted to do so. The major issue with stopping smoking was that all my friends want to smoke joints with tobacco in, and although I tried, passing the MFLB around my n00b friends mostly resulted in them getting less than excellent hits. So they just thought it was a nice thing but not as good as a smoke.

In comes the EQ! It was in my price range, with a digi temp screen, bags and whips. What more could I want? So in October I finally got my desktop vape! Well the vapor seems to be a lot thicker. It's easier to hit and I like that there is a temp guage where on the MFLB it was much more like 'actual' smoking, got to puff to heat up, feel the heat on your lips to judge. The learning curve on the EQ is non existant.

So I show it to my friends my big new machine. For the first time ever last weekend, 5 people came round. We have 2g of nice weed, which I wouldn't have said would have been enough even with the vape. I mean it shouldn't work in my head haha.

Not one of them smoked a j all night. They didn't even want to. I just kept making up bags. I think the best way was to pack the cyclone, I prefer the elbow but seemed to get better hits on the bag with the cyclone bowl. I was putting one bag on 200c, then bumping it up to 260c for the next one. Everyone was gone, and the next day there was still weed left over?! I have never experienced such efficency in my life.

My friends say they want to buy vapes now. I'm glad that for one night I got my friends to join me off the smokes. It is a small change but the seed is planted now. My bf and other friends just vape with me now too. Most people seem to not mind joining me on the vape. The flat smells much better, and when I walk into the kitchen after someone has smoked it reeks!!

I've been looking at vapor bonging. That DDave mod looks fantastic but I don't know if it would be worth getting it from the US, I'm in the UK.

Also, I made some iso hash out of the stem vapor successfully the other day. Been trying to do it a few times, got the technique down. WOW that stuff was awesome, my medical issues were non existant for the night. Felt like i'd taken some strong ass drugs but no, just some hash!

Well that's me addicted to the vapes now. I'm looking at portables. Really fancy buying the zion next but no shipping to the UK ;( ;( ;( Thinking maybe of the pax 2 next so I don't smoke if I go out to a party which is a downfall. Or a log?

Formally, there's only one. The others I reference are AC battery packs. Not made specifically for Arizer, so you use your stock EQ power brick with them. I can reach out to a few who have them and see what they say about size of unit vs. Usable time before depletion.

I get paid next week so I'm going to order. Never 'modded' before in my life, but I have a kanger tech subox mini and I messed around with the RDA which as modded as I've been.

This damn website is burning a hole in my wallet. Or should I say vaping?

Notice my @DDave mod. It massively improves the already superb eq. I can't recommend it enough. Delivery usually takes about 7 days. And there is a chance of having to pay a customs fee. But only 1 out of my 3 orders so far have been stopped and charged. It all works out at 30 quid uk money delivered.

@DDave . If you wouldnt mind asking about. I'd really like to know if I can have a travel eq

@ronads Hi and welcome to both FC and the EQ family!

The EQ is really an awesome vape, easily modified, easy to change session types depending on the glass you have on hand.

With vaping, you should be using less herb in relation to combusting and with the right mods, even less still with the EQ.

Thanks @kellya86 and @DDave . I wish I had two! I think my boyfriend would start to get a bit concerned if I got two though it would be excellent if I had a larger group. Two balloons at the same time, now that would be supreme! The price of it for what you get is just incredible.

I've seen the 'upside down' technique. Might try it later when I pick up some 'herbs.'

When I do the iso wash the alcohol seems to get stuck in the silicone whip. I try my hardest to avoid putting it in the whip but it always ends up smelling. It's been drying for a good 4 days now, still a bit iso smelling. Any tricks? I really wish I could just remove the joint off the silicone to clean it but I'm thinking I'll need to buy the stuff myself to do that. (Too scared to take a pair of scissors to it lol!)

I think I've almost finally kicked smoking, though I still occasionally indulge though I don't enjoy it. If I was religious I'd say it's a miracle lol!

@DDave , the all new glass mini whip does not fit your 14mm wand. Let down. Why didn't arizer make it a standard 14mm gg joint.

@ronads, did you get silicon whip with your eq or pvc.?
If pvc don't use iso. I buy my silicone from vapefiend.com. and then replace once I can't clean anymore. I fill it with iso, give it a good shake for few mins. Then swing above my head, then rinse with hot water, then connect to eq at 21 fan 1 for 10 mins and it's clean and dry. My method anyway.

It's non toxic pvc apparently. I hope I've not inhaled too much plastic. Will it be okay to use until I get a silicone one? The smell is almost gone. (Thanks for the website it looks good!)

Ah you got the old style tube. It's not great, and not suitable for iso cleaning. They come with new silicone tube now.
It's suitable for iso clean and much more flexible and obviously non toxic platinum cured.

The one you want from vapefiend.com is the 8mm diameter / 1.5mm wall thickness. I'm sure your pvc tube will still be ok till then. Give it a rinse with hot water if your worried.

Or if you order the @DDave kit, it comes with silicone tube.
