Told ya! Now just be careful when you cut a tiny corner off with your dab tool. I like to do it directly from a silicone container so I can cup my hand around it just in case it leaps across the room from the pressure of the cut! :lol:

Anything beats dealing with that goo once it gets on our dab tools, our fingers or god forbid our VXN nails.

Great advice and thanks for sharing! I'll definitely be implementing the "hand-cupping" technique (courtesy of Socks And Sandals) to try eliminate as much shatter fragment chasing as possible!! Last time i tried to break off a piece of some super silver haze shatter and chunk shot up and bounced right off my bloody eyelid lol

There is an area on my kitchen floor littered with dab shards that fell on the ground that I didn't see. The Jyarz Chico containers are the worst for it

I actually just use my fingers, I have a little bit of nail usually and can just clip a piece off the cold glob easily enough, its cold so it doesn't tend to stick to my nail, maybe a little bit I have to pick off sometime lol

Jesus bud, that sucks. I think I friend of mine said it happened to him as well. Very sorry to hear about mom. Sight is probably the worse sense we can lose IMO. How long did the stinging take to subside?

GB-186-1 from yingmin5 is great to use with the Evo for those times you want to see a huge can full of vapour.
Takes big lungs to clear it, you'll need an 18-18 adapter. It's the biggest one I own, $58 with 2 perks that seem to function well & I like it.
I've had it for a while & used to use it with the Cloud but there are a lot of newer ones out now that someone else might think are better.

So just got my Evo today it almost killed me to wait till after work to unbox it and check it out! First off I'm unboxing the evo itself and the temperature knob just falls off just all willy nilly comes the f$@£ off, so I sit here and try to reattach it but with no luck. My hydro tube holds water just fine but when seated on top of the evo the connection seems extremely loose like my h.t. can spin around on the connection. I already know this is an issue but my easy load bowls are super snug and even harder to pull out. :evil: so that's my experience so far. Should I contact them and possibly do an RMA or do you guys think I'm just being picky? I mean i did just drop 400 bucks on this thing but whatever lol.I've been doing a burn off for the past hour so I think I'm about to load up and hit this thing and see how it does I will report back later.

The EVO is my favorite desktop hands down and I've tried them all!:rockon:

Concentrates in the freezer for 5 minutes makes life soooo much easier!:tup:

Yes, it is possible to get great delicious clouds from your EVO below 12 O'clock.
I start at 10:30 for dry herbs, which is apx 365F. There are no set temps because of draw speed as you know, but slow and steady wins the race and keeps the heat in the tube.

I thought this was known, but for those that don't know, the new full sleeves have a velcro strap on the bottom. If you peel up the cover from the bottom you will see it. It goes across the air tube giving a bit of draw resistance allowing you to take faster draws. very nice.:brow:

I found 12 is a really great sweet spot to vape at if it has been left on 15-20 min. I do gradually go to 2:30 to get out all the good stuff, but the thickness and flavor at 12 is amazing.

I think the Elb's are supposed to be snug, as long as they are able to be pushed in and pulled out without force. If they have an ease and flow when you insert and remove it, being tight is normal. I myself have no trouble getting them in and out, except when the top gets hot right after my average 20 min session. Once it cools down you enough just grip and pull.

We did find out that some of the bamboos were made a tiny bit too small so it may be prudent to put in a support ticket. It was just a few posts ago.

I put some c02 oil in the freezer & a good size piece flew in my eye and re liquefied unholy burning

I finally got some easy load bowls yesterday so I could finally try my new Evo Pretty darn sweet so Far

my Elb are also pretty tight Earlier say something about training it but it is loose AND just falls out of any other 18mm

I would start a ticket just for the knob, let alone the other issues. And if your bamboo is too tight, that's another reason to start it.

So I got my new ht (after having a leaky one) works wonderfully, still have the small bamboo, but my elbs are working fine (after pushing into another 18mm male to train them), so are the clouds they produce :). Noticed they sold out their evos on the main site..in fact most Hydrotubes are sold out also.

Hey guys I just got my evo in the mail yesterday I had a bit to play around with it. I'm having major issues getting any vape from herb, concentrates work wonders though. But yea I've loaded several Elbs some with a little and some half way and either way I never can get a good thick hits. I barely get any vapor at all.
I've tried in the twelve o'clock positon and every one after and still no vapor. When I pull the herb out of the basket after an attempt it looks brown and burnt. Can any one help me? I'll be going through these pages to see if anyone else has had this problem. Peace and love!

So finally got my evo after what seems like eons following this thread and the cloud threads and I like it a lot. Had a small accident whilst in the middle of a heavy session where I forgot to put the lid on the elb and sucking a load of plant matter up into the honeycomb hydrotube, doh!!
Any ideas how to get the bits out of the tube??

That almost sounds like a problem with the quality of the starting material. If you're vaping concentrates without issue, the EVO is getting hot enough.

Are you able to get thick clouds with this herb from other vapes?

Honestly this is my first vape for herb, I mainly smoke concentrates with vape pens or a rig. When I want to smoke herb I'm usually a joint guy, but seeing this vape does both I went a head and bought it. As for my herb its top notch stuff very good querkle, also tried some orange legend from colorado. And I thought the same thing, if my concentrates are smoking fine I shouldn't be having an issue with herb but I am, just produces tiny amount of vapor but still Burns the flower[/QUOTE]
