yeah, I would think a tight grip on both pieces should be able to twist it off. I also think ISO might make it worse, as it dries really clean it might stick more. I like your lube idea as well.

I shall buy Simple Green as well! I was really despairing before, but once again FC comes to the rescue. Love it here. Of course, you guys got me to the point where I own 7 pieces of glass, a million adapters, and an Herbalizer, Cloud Evo and Zephyr Ion...

...but hey....

After Simple Green soak (or Dawn dishwashing soap) I would soak in baby oil or olive oil to loosen.
Removal of rusted in bolts is best done by soaking in penetrating oil so I'd try an oil here.

Looking at the stuck piece, IMO it could be way too brittle to use a pliers. It looks like it's a fairly rigid/ brittle plastic to me.

After soaking I'd remove the screen and try to push it out with a wooden dowel from below, like a pencil but smaller diameter. A tiny internal ridge requires one to use a slightly smaller than optimal diameter dowel. Maybe less chance of damaging the stuck piece with this method???
I'd probably try heating it in the Herbie too, before using a dowel as this should get sticky goo more liquidy.....

@stickstones carries the miniVAP parts. Flexicone module consists of wire basket, screen, and Flexicone. Optional hemp fiber in picture serves as filter, to filter out tiny mj particles.
He may be temp out of the baskets.

Another method is the @Ratchett Song over the Herbie bowl. Hydratube slides over it or you can use whip with it. Silicone Song slips over Herbie bowl.

Hey, just a little info that I don't think has been fully discussed yet. My Zephyr Ion bag valves are a nearly perfect match to the top of the Herbie CoolGrip bowl. I don't have the original Herbalizer valves, but the Ion's are much better and don't leak if you replace the bag right--which merely requires a zip tie.

Homemade gong from the original Herbie Whip connect to my beaker bong is still my favorite way to vape--but the bags are a nice change of pace, and the Ion valves are seriously solid accessories.

Is anyone aware of any deals on the Herbalizer now? I know I just missed $100 off on Black Friday. My friends are getting married in a few weeks and they specifically wanted an Herbie as a wedding gift.

@stickstones the pliers worked! Doused it in olive oil after a bag's worth of hot air, then dried off the top and used a pair of cheapo pliers to pull 'er right off. Back to taking massive milky bong rips--I swear, SSV size tubing to a beaker bong (Good amount of drag) gets me clouds like the Evo.

I ordered the adapter from @Ratchett , it should be shipping soon! :) Also requested 2 flexicone from @stickstones who said he will be getting some soon.

any cheaper place to buy official accessories? I need to order the silicon whip and maybe an extra bowl.

If you plan on using the flexicone setup, you can make your own whip and really don't need an extra bowl.

Does the Flexicone setup milk glass real nice? Ma pick that up and a hydratube if it works well. Me and my old anxious doggy are relaxing now on some nice indica herbalization right now....wooooo....

interestingly, my 445 vapes herbalizer avb still gives me cloudy hits out of the evo after i dont get any more vapor from it from the herbalizer. now i vape with both out at once and let me tell you-- im like that cheesy fray song "im still alive but im barely breathing...just prayed to a god that i don't believe in..." thats how high i am

It's interesting to see how people vary in terms of vaping preferences. I prefer low-temp flavors and effects. So, although at night I sometimes go with 410-420 (for a little sleep assistance), more typical is vaping at 370-390 (for a lift, and a somewhat calming effect) I toss the ABV without any desire to extract further. Heck, sometimes, just a few moderate tokes, and it's dumped.

On the other hand, when partying with friends, the goal is often to just get f****d up, so extraction of the high-temp cannabinoids is useful. :) Hmmm...it just occurred to me that it kinda mirrors my use of alcohol, except that at my age, anticipating the hangover holds me back from getting too carried away. Thank God for the gift of weed!

Well, I can't say that I'll ever stop vaping so high temp-- my friends take such huge rips off my herbalizer they they call them vapor dabs lol.

But i did try a minimal load (.05) and it milked my glass very nicely! perhaps even better than my usual standard fluffy half to full pack
