Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Alan Partridge

Smell my cheese
Where can I get another sleeve in the UK? Vapexhale don't ship internationally. I have a purple one and it looks a right state after two weeks. And it looks more pink than purple, I want a more manly black sleeve :)

Alan Partridge,
I got my EVO yesterday and I'm pretty happy. A few questions though:

  • Are all the ELBs supposed to fit super tight in the bamboo?
  • I see people saying they start at 12 o'clock - can people get clouds at 12 o'clock? I was barely getting vapor at 11-12 and I ended up turning it up to 2-3 and was getting pretty decent rips. Why even have the temp knob go that far to the counter clockwise if people only use it from 12-5?
  • How much water should I be putting in my Circ? Just on the top or should the whole bottom chamber be filled as well?
Thanks, boys.

ELBs-They can very slightly in fit depending on the batch. However, if you look back a few pages, it was reported that some bamboos for the Evo glass were out of spec.

Knob setting-This can very a bit depending on the unit calibration. The particular strain and lots of factors go into the best setting. I find there is a different sweet spot for each particular batch of herb I am working with. You can get great flavor and good effects without thick clouds, in some cases. 12 is a good starting point, but you should go up and down on the knob to find what you like.

Water level-No water in he bottom chamber, that is a overflow to keep water away from the Evo. I fill mine so it barely covers the circ perc, but some folks prefer a little more or a little less.

Hey guys! Quick question from a total concentrate noob. I finally managed to get my hands on some proper stuff, but it's very sticky and difficult to work with. I currently have it in some parchment paper, and I've got a small titanium dabbing tool to kind of scrape it up with, but transferring the material to the VXL nail is IMPOSSIBLE to do neatly. I pretty much just have to scrape it along the side of the slit and hope for the best :c. Anyone have any tips on how to handle super sticky material with the nail?

If you put the concentrate in the freezer, it helps. Otherwise, you just scrape it like you're doing. Smaller dabs can help a little as well.

Hey guys just looking for some input- regarding this glass piece I'm thinking of getting for my Evo. I already own the Turbine HT and the D020 , just want something different that would allow me to take larger hits without losing to much flavour. I found this piece the FC 186 and was wondering if it would be suitable for me : http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/advance-booking-2015-new-high-quality-glass/218127444.html
Video shows that it pairs well but I don't know enough about glass to see if it functions well .

That piece does not pair well with the EVO. It actually requires an adapter if you look closer to the pic

@Cannabis Connoisseur Does it need an adapter ? I just saw that it had an 18.8 mm joint and the picture shows it with what looks to be a removable bowl. Also if it needed an adapter wouldn't it say it had a male 18.8 mm Joint ? Again I don't know anything about glass, appreciate the advice just looked at a lot of pieces and this one caught my eye.

It is an 18mm female piece but the contours in the piece will create a wedge between the EVO and the water tool. I speak this from experience. It will require an 18mm female to 18mm male to work properly with the EVO.

I think the reason that piece needs an adapter is to raise the joint.
I don't think the EVO will fit in the stock 18mm joint without bumping into the body of the bubbler

[edit] too slow, lol

Hey gang, I'm gonna hold off on selling those scratch and dent tubes for a bit. So far I've had two of you receive tubes that don't hold water. The two that I bought for me will be here Wednesday and we'll see how they function. If you've ordered one already, please report to me in a pm how they work...especially you guys from outside the US. Bottom line is I will announce it again if I am convinced we can rely on them, but I want to make sure each of you that has gotten one is taken care of all the way through first.

Does VXL not check these tubes before approaching you for resale? I'm kind of shocked by the amount of dysfunctional Hydratube situations, because up until now VXL has been sort of the standard for me in terms of vaporizer companies that stand by their products and are honest and efficient.

My guess is this bin of tubes has been collecting for a while, and at some point you just don't know what's in there. I got a detailed list of what was wrong with each one, so I'm kind of surprised there are any problems. I have no doubt they will stand by them and make it right, but it makes for a disappointing unboxing.

Hey bros I just ordered an evo so I will be posting in here from time to time. Still using a solo but just always wanted a home piece. Did not order a hydrotube, kinda glad I didn't after reading about some of your experiences. I will be vaping with a d020 but looking for a big hydrotube type piece for cheap through dhgate. I bet that is wishful thinking but it would be nice. If you were to recommend one large dhgate piece above any other for functionality, which one would you choose?

Use a lighter to heat up the tool above the dab, it will drop right off and into the nail once it start to heat up.

Haha, I dread handling that stuff! Like another poster mentioned, I keep it in the standard silicone container and throw shatter or anything else that is gooey in the freezer for 5 to 10 mins. Just be careful though, while it may harden it up so we can chop off a piece with our dab tool, you can easily cut off a piece and have it fly across the room and lose it forever. I just found a piece of shatter from 2 weeks ago stuck on the inside of one of the blades to my horizontal blinds!

I'm a concentrate noob too but for the most part I stick to solids that we can scoop up like budder and crumble. LOL I remember trying to put gooey shatter in there too and nearly 70% of the time, it doesn't fall to the bottom of our VXN nail! I usually let it just hang from the inside lip of that slit on the side of the glass because trying to get it to fall to the bottom is just going to result in my losing my material.

IMO sticky stuff is the easiest stuff to handle precisely because all you have to do is just scrape it along the inside of the nail. Shatter and wax on the other hand I have to be a lot more careful with because it's liable to fall off my pick before I can get it all inside the nail. Heck - I've accidentally bumped my hash containers once or twice over the years and all my stuff ended up on the ground, so I'm thankful to sticky stuff now. :p

I got a perfect dab in my nail today, but it still got all over my fingers and dabber. You see the lid of my silicone container was, unknown to me, full of shards and it unexpectedly spilled all over the counter. Naturally this was a mess to try to get back in the silicone container.

However I do have good luck most of the time. I keep all my oil and wax frozen until loaded, and also freeze my dabbers a min or two before I use them. This has made dealing with it as hassle free as possible.

I like the hit this gives me with oil very much, but wish it didn't go sour so fast. The burn off is nice, but a small clean up is going to be needed on the upper nail eventually no matter how slow you pull. Also the Hydrotube bottom will get dirty after a few dabs and need a cleaning too.
The HT stays super clean with dry herb so that's a comparative drawback, but oil is never going to be a perfectly clean material.

Again the EVO does give you this amazing thick hit off the dab I never had elsewhere. I guess it's a much cleaner way to replicate the experience of smoking wax or oil off a physical nail, but I've never done that and am glad I never had to clean that up! Sounds like it would really hurt one's lungs too.

Thanks for the tips, everyone! Gonna pop my material into the freezer and see if that makes it a little easier to work with. (And hopefully it won't go flying, appreciate the warning on that!) Wish I had access to crumble or budder, but here in an illegal state you just gotta roll with what you can get. I will say that even with a tiny amount of material scraped messily along the side of the slit, I still got a pretty decent hit from the EVO. It's like the little vaporizer that could!

Thanks, boys.
the elbs will loosen up with use. the more trichomes the bigger the clouds. airflow is key. the warm air has to circulate . if your elbs are not hot when you finish a bowl they are clogged small amounts are better in clean elbs imo I get very nice hits at 9:30. I had a cloud and now the evo . I like the evo because it is less weight I use a stem easier to deal with plus I seem to get higher and medicine lasts longer.

try the stem before you buy anything. I stopped using the hydrotube. I seem to get higher and last longer

Sticky concentrates is a challenge to load into the glass nail. I've just made a batch of QWISO that is soft and sticky as fuck. A nightmare to work with. Freezing it helps, then taking a small piece of with a dabber of some sort.

I get a small piece on the end of my dabber, then warm the nail up for a couple of seconds in the bamboo, then carefully insert the dabber through the slit until it touches the back of the nail and gently melt off the dabber. It's a right fuck around. I should just stick to rosin that solidifies nicely.
