@KidFated. Can I use the high temp cap with herbs also. or shall I get both caps?
I sure hope you can use the high temp cap with herbs, as that's what I primarily bought it for. :) Based on some other posts in this thread, it seems that you maybe need to preheat it a second longer to vape herbs, but it apparently works fine. I will report more when I get it though.

High temp cap vapes flower. This puppy hits hard. I can kill a3/4 filled bowls in one massive rip.
Go easy too I combusted once, but I wanted to know where that spot was.
Edit
Just tried some hash mixed in, went right up in smoke. I thought you needed more heat for hash,
but I was going easy and the first draw went poof almost instantly. It was gooey mess.
I dumped it into and old pipe to finish it. I know I know but it was too good to toss, also my birthday, and my anniversary of one year combustion free:rockon:

So yeah, got my Lotus. I thought it was decent for the first few hits, and then some point I combusted, at which point (after cleaning it as thoroughly as I could think to) I actually read the instructions instead of just going by how I thought I remembered Vape Critic hitting it. :p

I'm still getting somewhat inconsistent results (I think I might have some air bubbles in my lighter that are causing me trouble, for one, as I've been having issues with the flame height rising and falling, or maybe my fuel's just low--I plan to get some triple-filtered fuel tomorrow), but at its best, this thing has unbelievable vapor production. Tonight is my third time using it, and I thought I combusted going off the cloud, but it didn't taste like ash, and I went in and looked, and sure enough, it was vaped. So yeah, this vape is finicky, but has amazing performance when you get it right. I plan to read more of this thread and learn to dial it in better.

The Lotus won't replace my E-nano, but I had always intended it just as a companion, and I'm sure it will grow to be a very fine companion.

Any tips on troubleshooting the Zico MT20 torch?

Just recently ordered this from Mendocino Therapeutics, and it's misbehaving. For that matter it's never worked right for the week or so I've had it.

When I try to fire it, it clicks, sparks for a second then goes out. It seems to want to start, but the fuel cuts out immediately.

When I first tried it, it seemed a bit low on fuel... hoping that it was just low, I've since filled it up, but that didn't change anything.

My Honest torch is starting to spit a bit, and I've combusted flower a few times accidentaly... was really hoping the Zico would save me here...

Have you purged the tank?

So I've had my lotus about 3 month now and never got round to posting here, basically I love it and wouldn't be without it, it takes joint top place in my lineup with daisy for most used.

The WPA is amazing and is how I use it 99% of the time, thing rips for fun and I love watching the vapour build in the can...

I've just had to change my heat plate, I know it's early but it has taken a lot of abuse due to my high temp preference...

High temp cap is already on my shopping list.

I have not. So just press on the valve until it stops hissing?

I found this - http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Purge-Lighters-of-Butane-/10000000178571721/g.html - any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I normally purge my torches after everyother fill to keep them running good, I use one of the adapters from the lid of the butane can to press the valve (the one you fill the torch with) in until you hear no gas escape (you might have to press the valve a couple times to completely empty)

Something else I do is while the torch is on turn the flame all the way up and back down again, I find doing this from time to time can help keep the flame steady while in use

Also the part that the flame comes out (the round bit with hole in the middle and smaller air holes around it) can get dirty and cause issues, for this I use a small flat screwdriver to scrape the surface then blast it with some compressed air.

Loving my new J hook designed for my Lotus! Beautiful work. Handmade joint. Thick glass and is very pocketable. Beautiful color! Also doesnt take up much room on the nightstand. It helped me this morning, especially!
On a serious note,
Actually had a flare up this morning when I woke up and was in serious pain, i panicked but remembered i had my new jhook from @Xchadb sitting beside with my Lotus from @Max Jitter in it and ready. Pain relief in seconds. I can't explain it, just get a Lotus if you're medical or recreational!

Thanks again guys.

Hello,

I am currently in the market for a manual vaporizer to use with flower. I have owned two Lotuses in the past and really liked them, but I ended up giving up all my vaping equipment to a friend (long story) and thus it's been a while since I last used a Lotus.

The high-temp cap looks intriguing functionally and aesthetically, but I am also pretty fascinated with Triihouse's stuff (although they are currently relocating and their online shop is down :ugh:) as well as with the Vapman. All of these vapes seem to be of reputable build quality, are manual, and are mostly convection-based (please correct me if I'm wrong), so my only question is: Which one should I choose for the long haul? I can really only accommodate one into my budget at the moment. :\

Also if it is useful info the vape will mostly be used without water.

As always, FC, thank you for your help.
