Anyone got any cool ideas of what I can do with my old MFLB? I had to take it apart for the warranty. Every part of it worked apart from the screen was torn. Seems a bit of a waste. Could I order a screen for a Maud-dib and insert that? Or attach a new screen for herbs?

If you respect the company you'd throw it away.. The dismantling (destroying) was your part of the deal, they send a new one with hopes that the old one is out of commission for good.

Amen on that. A deal is a deal. I'd make that ''....send you a new one with your assurance that the old one......." although KF has it basically right I think (as he always seems to).

Your call, but if you want to cross the vape gods like that you're on your own. I don't want any part of that Karma.

Dunno if this is off topic here but I bought an Orbiter last week (first water tool) :D. Haven't used it with anything but my Underdog but it is a great little bubbler. Very cool and looks great alongside the MFLB, Vapman and UD.

TBH I am a bit nervous to try and chase bubbler clouds with my MFLB or Vapman in case I combust. I'm sure I'll grow some balls eventually :uhoh:.

On a related note, although I love the Orbiter, I was not impressed with the build quality. Glass is fine, all slits are firing, but the base is quite unevenly sanded. No big deal though I guess, but something I have seen mentioned in reviews and wasn't expecting to still be an issue.

Just remember:

You can...but just think of this:

Every time you draw on the non-warranty box....see the disapproving look? I can almost here him saying, "....join the club and get it for almost cost....."

Just remember:
So I emailed the vape gods that is customer service at Magic flight, in response to a recent email in which my warranty was activated for a replacement box. This is what I said...

"Hi, I was wondering if Magic Flight were ok with me using my now dismantled
MFLB with one of your Muad-dib screens?"

Magic Flight response...

"Hi Sam,

Thank you for writing back in. While not very pretty, a Muad-Dib screen should still function well in a dismantled Launch Box. :)"

I had a feeling Magic Flight wouldn't mind. You guys nearly made me throw my box away! Glad I didn't! :myday:

Update on my DIY PA. First test run was a minute ago, it works pretty well. Instead of the wheel to adjust there is a dial. I haven't added the LED's to the circuit yet, I wanted to make sure it works first. The LED's i bought really drove the price up. Without LED's it would cost 25 for the parts, with was $33. Can someone tell me the output voltage of the PA 2.0? Mine currently goes from 1.36 to 1.88 Volts. Once I finish it I will post pictures.

My money says the destruction instructions (lol...say that five times fast) are updated to include destroying the two copper rails.

On the other hand, I can say without a doubt that the MFLB with the tray does not work as well as the MD.

I agree, the trays are a 'make do' and the MD does a much better job and does it easier.

And the rails are steel, not Copper (that's a thin plating). Copper a great conductor (of both electricity and heat) but doesn't make springs, and we need a very 'strong' spring for the negative ring. Try testing with a handy magnet. Unless MF has also invented magnetic Copper.......

@KidFated that's an impressive cloud trapped inside your bubbler. did you achieve it by using the PA on the highest setting?

on a side note, throwing a dismantled box away would break my heart. :) so i kept it for a future art project or god knows what i decide to make out of it.

Anyone else start scratching their heads when if you add a set of batteries to the order of a kit, The lowest shipping option is over $13 more then the price of shipping the MF kit alone ($3.06 shipping for Just the kit and around $1.85 shipping for the batteries alone on separate orders).

When ordered Together the shipping jumps to near $16.50 !

... :hmm:

Glyphs are more powerful than my OG PA, I gotta warranty it. But to answer your question, one year old glyph that's seen plenty of action :brow:

Over the weekend my friend combusted in my launch box. Can someone either explain or show me where to find info on getting the taste and smell out of the box? I have already cleaned the screen with iso with a q tip and with the brush that comes with the device, it still smells and taste quite horrible. Im thinking its coming from the wood below the screen?

It will take time for the "normal" reclaim to build back up and cover the taste. Trust me, I combusted a handful of times (including one "catastrophic near-ignition accident") and it went away after vaping through it. Icky as hell, sure, but I promise it will go away and back to the point where you won't notice it. Maybe 6-12 full trenches? I can't recommend you go poking around inside of it, the screen is more fragile getting poked from below than from above IMO. But it will go away. Maybe some strong material, kief, oil tray, or some such that produces a lot of vapor/reclaim to speed the process up?

I agree with @Quetzalcoatl and if you don't want to use your precious herb during the transition you can use a bag of peppermint tea. Fill the trench with it and vape away the whole bag without lung rips. Your box will smell and taste like peppermint for sure, but it covers the nasty burned taste really well I found out. After 2 trenches with your prefered herb the peppermint taste should be gone completly.
