So, is there a date after which preorders became orders? Like after the cart got straightened out? Or are we still calling them preorders? Just trying to get my mind right... ;)

Added: Well, since this thread hasn't moved from "upcoming and unreleased" I guess preorders still makes sense. George did say he is still making changes.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
I too ordered on august the 6th my firts VC, then I ordered a second one a week later plus a glass spare set with a dynastash recently, so all these shipping confirmations make me salivating like a dog in a summer day :-)

And btw this first bulk shipping shouldn't put VC between official threads?

Happy to report I've got a shipping email from George so hopefully before Christmas I'll be capping it up in the uk, many thanks George for everything.

I am really liking this video. Coil demonstration, from my tests which were like 5 different coil builds the lower amount of coils are the most convenient, I am hoping to get a new RDA so it can be a more appealing and hands free.

I did some stuff for example, but I recommend heating the wire without the Cap inside or at least not starting with the cap inside, but as you can see you can build it well enough to actually allow the coil to heat while the cap is in there.

Love the look of heating this way but what exactly is coil device used or rather what should I type into Google to buy one? My girlfriend isn't to keen on me using the lotus and it's torch lighter indoors although I'm super careful, one of these coils devices would be great for at home use :)

I used an eleaf istick tc60w, with a derringer rda, and plain kanthal wire.

I suggest researching a different rda that doesn't leave the coil exposed.

Hey guys

I got a reply back from George saying that he is getting his upgraded supply of stashes delivered in about a week - and he will then need to engrave them before shipping.

My order does include a DynaStash, so I'm definitely happy to wait until he has everything in hand to ship together.

Now I'm not sure about this, but it does sound possible that others may recieve thier VapCaps slightly earlier if they have not also ordered a DynaStash.

Oh man, we are soooo close! Can ya feel it?!!!

:brow:

I can feeeeeel it!

Another ingenious idea for a ingenious device. Any chance of sharing some spec details? What size wire did you use with the four wraps? And do you know the resistance the four wraps produced?

I have some Rebuildable attys to try it with but would have to power it on a unregulated mod. Unsure on how that would work out.

22ga, ohm is readable in the video, I think it was around .76.

EDIT:
Just got home, resistance is now at .75ohms.

Thanks, 28 is the heaviest I have so I'll have to get some as I believe it's to light.
Hopefully George has it on the back burner already.
More importantly is when will the Ti woody and the all Ti be ready for purchase?
I've been using the standard glass one for a few day's now and I'm very impressed with it. Great form and function, so small and efficient, even and fully extracted abv.
My only concern is I'm going to end up breaking it!
So now I gotta have a woody or all Ti and a couple more glass ones!
I'm assuming that the woody would be available first but who knows.
How about a update on how soon before I could get one @VapCap

Thank you everyone for hanging in there since August,
while I've been gathering up everything to start production. The feedback here has been instrumental in the accelerated development I think we have seen over the past few months. To give a better understanding of what we have now and where it came from as well as when it will arrive I thought I would try to fill in some details.
The big developments coming after @Adobewan connected me with @Ed's TnT .
Ed has been very helpful and has helped me expand the VapCap into a whole new medium, Wood!
The original glass worked well, but it was the suggestion here to make a wood version that led me into coming up with a way to achieve the temperatures needed for adequate and now it seems efficient and effective vaporization without damaging the wood. Integrating glass to the wood didn't seem like a good option considering its breakability contrasts with the durability of the wood. The next option that came to mind was metal, and if I was going to go metal, Ti was my first choice. I like this stuff and always have. It took a few tries, but I did find a way to couple the Ti to the wood and thermally isolate it at the same time.

So once I had the thermal isolation next came the all titanium idea. This seemed like the next big step. I'll elaborate more on this in about a week when I have more parts to take pictures of.

So to answer the question on when, the Ti Woody stems are scheduled to arrive around Dec 12-13. I am trying to have all of the other components ready to assemble when they arrive so I can turn around and ship them ASAP. The all Ti units are still a little ways out, but I hope to have a few beta testers out in the next week or two.

I hope this helps, but if not feel free to respond here, message me or send an email.

Cheers,

George

Hopefully the website ordering issues can be worked out prior to the ti woody's being available.

I am poised ready to be a tester...of the website...as soon as you think it may work for those of us who are having issues ordering (mainly international orderers, apparently).

Couldn't agree more. It's a big part of the reason i am keen to get my hands on one.

Good morning, I hope all is well out there! Yeah gotta give a thanks out to @Adobewan for getting me in touch with George @VapCap Wow I hadnt realized how long its been since we first spoke, I was doing some paper work and saw where I got those samples out to you back then in August. R&D can take some time and making it all come together can be tough. I am working on getting the first run of woodies out to George on the 11th. am digging through the Cocobolo I have to pick some choice pieces, seems more of you all like the Cocobolo more than the Blackwood, I cant blame you the species itself has so many vibrant colors and tones in it that few other species rival it. I am partial to the Blackwood myself but Cocobolo is my second favorite, Blackwood is just so sexy to me, its sleek and refined with subtle hints and light tones through it from time to time and even a burl eye here or there if I am lucky enough to capture it. So hang in there everyone, woodies will be in Georges hands really soon and I am sure he wants to have them in you alls hands sooner than his. Trust me they will all be choice pieces and be of my finest work! Thanks George for letting me be a part of this! If anyone has any questions for me just holla and we can talk about them!
