This is the perfect vape to bring along to the bar. Beer and herb! Damn, got to use the washroom again, he, he!

Just remember what Freewheelin' Franklin says, "Drinking beer and smoking dope is like pissing into the wind"........

Weed before booze, never booze before weed.......unless you LIKE getting The Spins!

On another note, after flashing my ESV a month or two ago with the new firmware, I found it to work much better. However, I felt that my old temp settings were then too high. Well, last night I finally got around to resetting them, to 320, 340 and 360. As I had just previously finished a session on my Herbalizer, I went to bed without trying it out. I think I'll be testing it while roasting the turkey today.

Do I need to jump on the sale offer, and get a second ESV? Are they going to launch an ESV2 soon? Swappable batteries maybe?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Freewheelin' Franklin is such a lightweight!
The ESV is perfect for stealthy tokes.
Wife wants you to put the garbage out? Sure darling, glad to oblige... and sneak another toke!

Freewheelin' Franklin is such a lightweight!

Like many of history's other great pioneers, those who follow don't fully appreciate the trails blazed? He risked all to show us the way forward.

IMO he's just the sort of giant Newton spoke of when he said, 'If I see further than any before it's because I stand on the shoulders of giants'.

Is this Freewheelin' Frank perhaps an acquaintance or disciple of Mr. Natural?

More of a contemporary I'd say? And yes, many of us know him well...... He also famously said, "Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope". Dated perhaps, but also a visionary ahead of his time.

I think he and Ataxian went to school together, I don't think they surfed together though?

BTW, it's "Franklin" although few used his last name, even those very close to him were not allowed to call him 'Frank'. At least AFAIK.

Is it s requirement to pack full bowls or can you get away with small bowls?

I was gonna buy the Prima and now decided not too die to the plastic in the Prima.

How bad is it to stir your load after almost every hit? That kind of bugs me with this vape as well. Not fond of the idea of having to stir in a probable vape.

I never stir. My ABV looks chocolate brown, is crispy, and is pretty uniform.

What is everyone's thoughts on cleaning the vape? I've done some decent research on this guy. It is quite expensive. But I may dish out the dollars for this over a Crafty. Half bowls seems possible. Cleaning is my next big concern which I cannot find information on. Can you do ISO baths for the mouth piece and swab the chamber with alcohol or just remove those pieces and soak them in ISO as well?

Never tried half bowls but cleaning is a piece of cake.

Strange, cleaning is a topic that comes up fairly often. About this time yesterday there were several posts on the topic. Just below the middle of the former page. You might start there?

Half bowls are fine, most any amount really, and in any case it's only cooking during the 8sec hit, so even a full bowl can last many many tasty fresh powerful hits depending on temps (+ grind, strain, consistency, draw, etc).

Not everyone needs to open to stir as you see, I do but i still think its a pretty worthy trade off for the other functional benefits, even if its inconvenient at times its totally manageable for the most part. And you may not even need too.

Taste and purity is one of the big features of the Elevape as well, no plastics like those vapes, but also not session conduction constantly cooking like those, on demand instant convection so there's potential for a learning curve, but you can see recently quite a few new owners seem to have had success.

Oh yeah, you can say that again! Rewarding learning curve :D

Had a chat with Joe some daze ago and would like to share some info on the coil setup:
Joe recommends to tilt the coil from 15-20 degrees to focus it correctly and about 4 mm away from the bottom of the power module. This way you get very precise temps (no false reading from the sensor and avoiding radiant heat and hotspots). Of course the draw speed is a variable too as he has mentioned here before. An average human male's lung capacity is approx. 6 liters. Based on that the microprocessor is calculating out what is the energy needed to maintain the temp. in the 8 secs - that's the temp you're adjusting with the program - kinda cruise control.

Hope this helps some new guy/gal. Get this vape when you can, it's a good time right now and becoming even better when using this champ :)

I guess I have decisions to make and no way is this easy. The mivaoe I dislike as you cannot totally clean the air path. That is a huge concern with portable vapes. I like my stuff clean and fresh. Even if I go a few weeks without cleaning I expect to make my vape like new after a cleaning.

Seems easy enough to clean. Love how the thing is all metal. Now he didn't clean the mouthpiece in that video or the chamber. I guess for the chamber you do the same method with ISO and a q tip? but what about the mouth piece? Can that get soaked in ISO?

Aluminum stock mouthpiece can be soaked, the (better) delrin one can be soaked but only briefly, its easy to clean and frankly it practically never even needs it unless you combust (no mouthpiece screen either).

The entire bowl/chamber can be soaked, ISO swabbed, whatever you want. It is all cleanable to new, can take out bowl screen with the retainer ring remover tool and then its not even a bowl so its all cleanable. As other said, soak everything but the battery/coil section

Just so Dab HAppy!
You can get it for $250 today. Do yourself a favor and call Joe. His number is on the ipuffusa.com site. He will answer and give you the deal and you will be talking to the same person you would call if there is ever any issue with your vape. Not many other portable vaporizers can offer such great customer service. And none can offer as cool and tasty vapor...at least I have not heard of a contender ever appear in this thread so I simply dont think one exists.

$250 is a great deal but I'm gonna get screwed once my Canadian dollar is converted to American lol. Your dollar has been killing us lately which makes me so hesitant in buying from the US at the moment. Mind you it's not your country's fault ahah.

@ginolicious I'm from the EU and had surely a worse conversion going on. IMO it's worth pulling the trigger and getting it from @Ipuffusa Joe directly with this nice discount. He's a great guy and I'm not only pleased 100% from his unbelievable customer care but also from his nature - being one of the greatest guys I've ever had the pleasure doing business with.

Ahh, the morning after...great food, great company, great vapes, Blue Dream, White Widow, Sour Diesel and who knows what else we had to be thankful for! ESV was a huge hit of course.

So before the holiday I took apart and completely cleaned the critter for the first time. amazing how many sticky small particles were all over the little lens and around the coil legs. I Left the coil in its factory state with no tilt, but I made a bottle cap lid to replace the one with the screw in the middle, using the fine screens from @OF and @Mr Mellish. For sure it stays cleaner than the original coarse screen in the lid. But now it doesn't seem to vape as evenly. i get speckled herb, everything from green to brown to black in the bowl. And i can see a very clear hot spot on the screen. Maybe air flow is restricted around the rim of the lid that the sides of the bottle cap screen now cover?

Go back to the original lid screen? Try a coarser bottle cap screen? Tilt the coil? All of the above?

If everything was good the way it was before bottlecapping, I'd go back to the stock setup.
I began messing around even before trying out the lid with the allen screw and after hours of tweaking and fiddling, I'm still approaching slowly an even ABV... Guess it would have been easier the other way round.
When you've all already been blessed with even ABV and not combusting, that would be my main goal to achieve/maintain.
