Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to FC as a member but was lurking for 3-4 years. I've been smoking since 1985 but starting vaping almost 6 years ago. these forums have helped me choose all of my current and past vapes and tempt me into others that I somehow can always justify... VAS is expensive . I recently went to a party and met some long time users who had never experience vapor before. and even though it was only a PAX , my least favorite of my current vapes, they were amazed. it's always nice to expand the community. wait till they try the Aromed.
unlike others here, I can't bring myself to part with my combustion paraphernalia , but only for sentimental reasons. But if anyone else feels like giving away their glass just let me know :)

Hey FClers! I'm new to FC and been lurking for quite a while. I bought a Mighty a few weeks ago to finally stop smoking. But I'm still in the process of giving up joints (we smoke them mixed with tobacco in germany). It's a bad habit...
This community is a good resource when you start vaping. I hope I can contribute to it!

Hi @Hans Hurensohn welcome to fc.
I was in the same boat as you 2 months ago. I live in the uk where we too taint our precious herb with evil tobacco. It's so wrong but for years I saw no other way.
If your gonna do this, I advise completely stopping combustion. This way you really get all the benifits from vaping. Once carbon monoxide poisening and oxygen deprevation are removed from the equation, you really get to see the magical herb for all its worth.

Good luck with your quest, I
I wish you all the best. You have chose a mighty weapon in the war on combustion.

Thanks for your advice! I made some pretty good progress in the last few weeks and went from 6-8 joints a day down to 1-2. Now I reckon it's time for me to get serious and stop combusting. :)

Or how about using your avb as a tobacco substitute for now until you stop combusting.

Err don't get your hopes up. Avb joint doesn't taste as nice as tobacco joint. Don't know why I suggested that. I tried it in the beginning while I was trying to eject tobacco from my life.

My top tip for quitting combustion is.....

The time you want a joint, instead of rolling one up, have a vape first, then see if you still want to smoke after 10 mins of vaping. The craving had normally passed by then for me. And I was nicely vaked.

And it goes without saying not to just smoke fags at work or whatever. If you have a craving come on here and post or read till the craving has passed.

This was how I fucked combustion. Wish I done it 15 years ago.

Your doing well with how much you have cut down already. Keep it up,

Edit... also now that you vape more than smoke, isn't smoking just a let down for you now?
It was for me, the thought of smoking a joint was always better than actually doing it. I regret it instantly and I just doesn't do for me what vaping does. Anticlimax.

Hello, I have been inspired by much of the content on this forum to fuck combustion after 15 plus years. So sincerely a big thanks for that. Quit the fags a fortnight ago and having a lovely voyage of discovery with a portable vape, the transition has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. The sense of ritual is the same if not better than rolling a spliff & the high, well say no more. Just waiting for a DBV to arrive now. Happy days.

@bubble , welcome to FC.

Nice to see another convert. With the modern portable vapes and the power full desktops available, the switch has never been easier. Not saying its completely easy, What portable have you used to switch?

Thank you, FC is a great resource. This RAD one http://hempcompany.ie/product/474/ Cant fault it TBH but the DBV is arriving today *rubs hands together*

Hey there :-)
I've been meaning to join this forum, just got around to it. I've been smoking pure mj for years but recently got more into vaping. I got an Atmos Boss then a Vicod which seemd pretty good but I wanted better so I just got the Firefly and the Crafty a couple of weeks ago and love em, mainly use the Crafty atm and rarely smoke now.
Nice to meet you!

Hi @Rebelistic welcome to FC,
Smoking pure mj eh, where would that put you on the globe. Not many people in uk smoke pure.
You seem to have really jumped in head first with all your purchases. The crafty is the one that stands out in your collection. What was wrong with the firefly if you don't mind me asking?

I'm from the UK, I have a few freinds that also only smoke pure but yeah blending with tobbacco seems more common. I couldn't decide between the crafty and the firefly so I got both lol. I find the crafty more convenient & easy to use, nothing really wrong with the firefly it's just that I like the crafty so much, I'm really impressed with it so far.

Nice to see another UK vaper. But how have you been able to smoke pure. You must have consumed alot, and paid alot for it here in uk.
Any plans to get a desktop?

Hi, yeah I guess it's not been cheap but I've tended to get weed that isn't too strong or expensive although my options are more limited recently and it's expensive high grade. Vaping does seem more efficient but then it's more conveneint (doesn't smoke up the house) so I still get through as much lol.
I haven't planned to get a desktop unit yet...actually I have one from years ago that I never use as it is a very bad one (not much more than a soldering ion and a jam jar). I probably will look at desk top units soon but with all my recent purchases I think I'd best wait a while. Do you mainly use a desk top vape?

Don't bother with the shitty conduction dome vape thing. Waste of time. And herb. Tech has moved on considerably since them things

Iv been so impressed with my arizer extreme q that iv bought another one.

If you have the luxury of sitting down for a couple of hours to watch a film and have a session, then a desktop is nice.

But after the money you have spent so far, I imagine you will be holding off any purchases till after Xmas maybe?

Roughly where in uk do you live. I'm near London in Hertfordshire.

Yeah will prob have to wait before buying more vapes but I do get carried away sometimes and could end up treating myself to an extra christmas present. I'm probably best doing some research too as there seems to be a lot of options and I know very little about what is available. This forum will come in very handy :-)
