Yes, I just saw it went from 1 to 2 hundred bucks. I bet they will have discounts in the next year, though. Sometimes they offer FREE profiles to people with conditions they want more data on. My husband got it for free when they were gathering data about ulcerative colitis. I will post here as soon as I see a discount. I hope somebody else will jump in here and be looking too. I am sure I have saved many thousands of dollars of doctor and med bills because of the insight. I am so over doctors who insisted even if I knew ALL my triggers I still could not manage my disease on my own. There is no money to be made in curing?

Hmm thats promising. Im very much a medical "zebra" more than one rare condition one of them genetic so i may qualify. Yes the medical field is a sad sad desert void of care and compassion for most of it. Especially so if your anything less than textbook

Hello @GenYHippie you seem to be experiencing the same cbd side effects as me (really strong wacky paranoid high, without adequate relief)
Do you get the feeling that your feet are being pulled out from under you?
I've pretty much given up on cbd. I get a more relaxing high from strains with next to no cbd.
How come the rumor persists that cbd does not get you stoned?
It feels like someone is trying to hide it does...

Ah, thanks, GYH...I'm by no means experienced as a cannapharmacologist but after my experiences with a CBD plant with trace THC (as well as many others' experiences with this or similar strains), this has me scratching my head - I would be shocked if it was the CBD causing the responses that you wrote about

I am not shocked at all. This is precisely my experience with CBD. I am more shocked that others dont get these strange anxious highs from it.

maybe the way some are wired leads to "interesting" reactions? Very interested in how things go forward in your experimenting. Best o' luck!

That makes sense. But I still think whoever is pushing that CBD is non-psychoactive (for everyone) is wrong, when some people get really stoned from it.

They are using this argument to justify giving it to kids....

I have had terrible reactions to "CBD" only extracts. Confused state, ego loss, panic... My homemade extracts are strong, but they don't treat me the way marketed CBD oil does. Of course I can't verify the actual contents of the suspected oil, so I turned it into topical pain rub (also....).

This is still not an exact science, and anecdotal reports vary greatly. It may not be the CBD that exacerbates anxiety, but rather the synergistic effects between CBD & all other constituents, including one's predisposition to the onset of anxiety. Marketed products may not yet be able to consistently separate ingredients with precision, and haphazardly send out imprecise products. If one is predisposed to anxiety, one may experience anxiety, no matter the ratios of CBD/THC/etc... Anxiety is an autonomic response that will psychologically snowball at the slightest hint of onset. Know thyself!!!

Yea. I agree everyone can be wired differently and the whole entourage effect brings in more variables to my anecdote. The thing is, I am not an anxious person. I dont have anxiety.
I have access to well lab tested medicine (Canadian under MMPR),
High THC % cannabis does not seem to make me paranoid or anxious in anyway, I vape 30% THC master kush, and its just calm, relaxing, pain relief.
Its only in high CBD % strains that I start to feel this odd high and know not to take anymore.
I've tried many high CBD % strains and cant find a single one that doesnt do this.

For me vertigo, racing heart, and nausea are my main CBD side effects. So i cant say the feet out from under me thing but vertigo sure makes the world go round and round and round in a bad way cant tell which end is up most times so where my feet are isnt the main concern lol.

I've found that CBD only stuff kicks my fibro & CMP into high gear.

I've turned most of what I've had into topicals. I think topicals are where it's at for CBD.

YMMV.

Bummer but yay for topicals i love them too especially for my auto immune rashes.

For sure i think its just easier to avoid all CBD since thats the common thread. I do ok with small dose CBD edibles like lozenges i just cant vape it

Can we please stop speaking about cannabinoids in isolation when the products we are using frequently contain other known psychoactives (terpenes, other minor cannabinoids etc). We cannot purport to subjectively isolate and identify the effects of a single compound ingested alongside many others which have known and unknown effects on the absorption and metabolism of the cannabinoids in question. This is a matter of good science.

I'd really like to see somebody who lives in a state where facilities are provided get something with CBD that gives them anxious/'high' effects tested by HPLC/MS or even better, NMR. We need conclusive, independent data on the contents of any given substance before we start throwing claims around about what they may or may not contain to lead to the subjective effects in question.

Not trying to be a PITA here, just saying that we have the means, if I lived somewhere I could get this stuff tested, I'd even pay for it myself!

Maybe we could create our own crowdfunding effort to pay to get some of the CBD products in question tested? This could actually be a really valuable resource!

Definitely bro, I thought I had already liked that post btw!

We gotta use the analytical methods to confirm constituents before we can speak to which chemicals are giving us the effects we describe. Even then, we must keep in mind that what we can speak to with this information is limited to our personal reactions to that specific combination of chemicals (not individual chemical components in isolation from one another).

I don't want to be completely off topic, but I have another CBD question.

I now have access to CBD flowers ~23% CBD, no THC. I have been vaporizing them, but I am thinking that eating or drinking might be more effective. I read somewhere that CBD takes longer to decarb. I also read that CBDV might have properties that are different (possibly better for me). Is it worth just using the buds raw for the CBDV, or would I be better suited decarbing the CBDV into CBD. Should I try in between (something like a shorter decarb period)?

Can you please tell me what brands of CBD made you feel this way? The strength of the product and also the amount consumed? Sorry to seem demanding. It's just that sounds quite scary. I am using a CBD eliquid right this very second.

@GenYHippie i have been using 100mg eliquids for a short amount of time as a day time vape. The CBD isolates in my eliquid are mild compared to consuming CBD bud strains. Worlds apart.

I feel ya but in general what i meant was that after tying multiple high CBD strains from different parent strains ans such with the same unpleasant result im ready to write it off for now. Personally if its not lab tested i probably wont buy it so i have a guide to how i react to different ratios. Not everyone can drop into a dispensary or have them tested so im lucky that way. So even if i dont get a full terpine profile ive had enough bad experiances with CBD in common im ok staying away from similar strains and ratios.

Good Thread.

When I first received my MJ Recommendation last year the doctor advised me to try out CBD products for my anxiety. Since then I have tried the Cheeba Chews 2% THC with CBD and the Dixie Elixir SYNERGY Tincture with a 1 to 1 ratio 50mg THC 50MG CBD.

My take is a lot of the psychoactive effects of THC are removed but CBD produces its' own form of "high". I wouldn't say CBD is non psychoactive at all. It's just different. Maybe more of a body buzz that you might get from edibles vs a head high that THC would give you.

The doctor also told me to take pure CBD or smoke a high strain CBD flower if I over did it with a high THC strain. After trying CBD alone I can't say that I would feel comfortable doing that OR you would have a hard time convincing me that it would have a calming effect. At the moment I am chewing on pepper corns with some success.

I purchased a high CBD flower ( Gorilla Meds) as well at 14% CBD ( don't know the THC content) and I had more success having a calming effect with that versus digesting CBD products.

YOU CAN definitely have negative effects from too much CBD just like you get from THC. I took too many doses of tincture once and I had anxiety and paranoia just like having too much THC.

I am trying to figure out how much CBD to give my dog during thunderstorms. I've tried every possible cure for this problem (really!), and none has worked. The poor animal really suffers terribly when there is thunder and lightening. All of those stress hormones floating around in her body can't be good for her. I finally have some genuine CBD liquid from WA. The bottle offers no instructions. It is 10 mg. per dropper (10 servings per bottle). My dog only weighs 15 pounds, so I doubt that I would need an entire dropper-full.

Does anyone know where I can find out how to use this stuff properly?

Thank you for the warning, Snappo. I don't know what to do. The Thundershirt was a colossal failure as was Rescue Remedy, aromatherapy, herbal remedies, and even Xanax (the vet told me to do that one).

When there's a thunderstorm here and my dog freaks and shakes I just hug him tight and keep him tree-bark close until the storm passes. Most times he falls fast asleep and wakes up fresh as a daisy.

I bought cannabis pills specifically designed for dogs. There's also a product called zylkene that my vet recommended I get at Amazon. She's not afraid of thunder but has severe separation anxiety.

Thanks, little Maggie. I'll check out the zylkene for sure. Are the cannabis pills you got hemp or actual marijuana of some kind?
