I purchased when first released and received one with a serial number in the 3000s. Today i am sending the device back for repair for the first time. The issue i have is the broken plastic around bowl on the heating unit. Although this issue does not effect the functionality of the vape, I've read in this thread that s&b accept this is down to poor design and thought i might as well get this repaired given the cost of the device.
I have had no issues whatsoever with the unit, apart from connecting to blue tooth which worked fine last time i checked in march '15. The unit may possibly take longer to heat but I've never sat there with a thermometer to check ambient temperature and run multiple tests.
Not sure if anyone else does this but i don't bother with the first preset temperature and use the 2nd higher temperature with every bowl. I think i have this set at 200 Celsius. I get around 3 bowls use this way.
