So ummm.... Found a portable ac socket and one two amp usb port at Wal-Mart, made by black web, for 60 bones. Been thinking about it for quite a while now. Still thinks it's too expensive, but can't find anything cheaper...

Works grate. Nifty lil thing. Only 45 watt hours, and only charges from 18v... But charges. Much better then 12v + separate inverter.... Next, me thinks solar power. :)

Experimenting with a new strain I have, trying to find what works best. My last "Headband" was pretty lenient and could be vaped at a very slow rate on temps 5.4-5.8 and produce adequate flavor and potency. (Nancy runs hot, may I remind you)
I tried this new stuff on 5.6 and did my regular draw and it was much too burny tasting. Didn't char or super brown, but not what I was looking for flavor wise.
Turned it down to 5.4, and got a very nice hit, but not thick enough or flavorful enough (due to vapor density I imagine).
5.5 didn't yield great results either, just a mix of the two temperatures mentioned.
Starting to somewhat dislike this herb compared to the Headband, I decided to turn the temp to 5.6 and maintain a harder draw to prevent over roasting. Huge flavorful lungbuster left me feeling great.

Don't forget to try all options with the Nano. Every herb has a different sweet spot, don't settle for anything less than it!

Hi folks. I'm waiting for my e-nano to arrive here in the UK and I'm getting a bit concerned. Apparently step-up transformers (110 to 220 v) make a buzzing noise and there is absolutely no way I can put up with that! :(:(:(

Any solutions? Is there a voltage controller I can get here that will replace the en-nano's vc cable, so that I don't have to use a transformer? :hmm:

There is a high quality transformer for £32 on amazon uk but no word on if it's silent... and it looks bulky!

That's what I've noticed too far as range of temp is dependent on the product that you're using. I need to go below temp 6 as well sometimes. I usually don't go any higher than 6.5 with flowers - not so far anyway.

How long of a session can you get with the portable set?

I always envisioned a Peltier (Thermo electric coupler) assisted portable log system. Preheat on ac power, or a first stage battery then via a dc to a.c. Battery pack with intelligent power routing for topping off battery Or even easier on the case of a UD with a DC heater directly.

If someone does the math for delta t and voltage/requirements and output for a preheated then battery powered log with Peltier boosters, that would be awesome.

What is a Peltier Thermo elect couple, a special heater ??

Preheat on AC and then switch to battery is great. I do that with my miniVAP as it has an AC puck. Heat it with AC and then 3 seconds to switch to battery. Battery lasts for hours with this method.
I wish E Nano had same option.

Google Peltier. It's a pair of thin ceramic tiles with a certain set off materials in between that can absorb heat and utilize the difference between hot and cold sides to generate electricity. Or electricity can be applied to make heat, or cool things. One side gets cold and one hot when applied with dc current. This would be using an array of them to make electricity from the hot and continuously heated nano rather than let it be wasted

About 2 and half hours of continuous use.... That also includes completely recharging my ps4 controller and charged my phone for a lil bit too.... Also didn't run it dead. Still had one led out of 4 lit. (All 4 lit meaning fully charged)

Considering my nano is defiantly heated up fully with in 5 min or less. (It's usually ready before stems finished being loaded and tamped...) That's a lot of seshon-ing time.

Nano really dun use that much power, problem is just that it's high Volt Ac. It's MAX draw is only ~15watts. For some perspective; modern usb charges are ~5.2v @2.1amp, or 10.9 watts... And the nano's MAX draw is about 15 watts...

Incorporating Peltier units would not really be worth while. They aren't that efficient for generating dc (nano runs on ac)... They can't be used as perpetual energy machines.
And they are expensive, never mind complication of trying to install them some where in a tiny log and the fact that they are kind of sensitive. Heat easily damages them. They are mostly used to move heat around....

But might be a cool "just cause I can" geek project. :D

Just recieved me E-Nano. Very impressed with the shipping as I recieved it in less than one week.

This thing is smaller than I thought it would be....but it hits so hard. Thanks to all the information on this thread I am finding this vape very easy to use.

I love it !

Got tracking info for mine on Tuesday and still haven't received it :( Oh well I assume it will come Monday...

@Haze Mister; Yes the cheap, low watts converters can make an awful loud buzzing sound. I had one of those initially but just returned it costfree to Amazon. My guess is you'll be sorted with that £32 converter, and if not, just sent it back and try a different one ;)
I got a 150 watts converter for around that price that is not too big and it works without even making the slightest noise.
It's still a bit of a pain to have all that cable and that slab of heavy plastic attached to your Nano, but i promise you, your Nano will make you forget that.

Got my Nano yesterday. Awesome from the first hit. I also have the Gaboof Alfa which is a great stealth vape. The quality of the E-Nano experience is in another league. Set at 6.5 with some OGK the hits tasted like the Alfa at low setting, but produced clouds like the Alfa at high setting. And I used a ridiculously small amount of herb. Very pleased!

I realize now that I'm going to need a "j hook" and maybe a bubbler where the E-Nano sits on top facing down. Ok---I know that there are a ton of posts about this, the j hook posts are recent, but what at DH Gate would do the trick for a bubbler where the Nano sits on top? I bought the 18mm gong with the Nano for this purpose.

Almost everyone here loved the d020-D (9 inches) or the gb-187, basically same thing but taller.

Go to dhgate. Search "sunshinestore" and click on the seller and look through his glass.
Also
"Yingmin5" has great glass too.
Both very reputable. Just make sure you get 18mm and you're good to go!

What did you think of the 18mm J hook on DHgate that was posted for you and what are you looking to spend? Knowing that will help get you a better answer.

The D020-D is perfect for the E-Nano.

You'll need a 18mm GonG

Yeah, still enjoying my D020-D. I largely use it on weekends, but guess what? It's a weekend now, so I've been hitting it like crazy.

On weekdays I tend to use dry stems or my very low-maintenance Transformer Tube that just sits in my closet (and since putting up a picture, I've added a Keck clip to the downstem, so it's even more secure). I just don't like to pull out the D020-D that often for shorter sessions.
Edit: Oh yeah, but the big downside of all this is that I use BOTH the 14mm and 18mm GonGs.

If someone who can do injection molding were to make my crazy durable bubbler idea that I originally put up in the TT thread, I'm pretty sure it would replace everything else almost all the time (though I'd still go back to all-glass from time to time).

I got tracking info for my Nano on Tuesday as well and got it on Friday. My Nano is beautiful I absolutely love the look of it!! It is the Exotic Maple Burl. i have some questions about the Nano though, how many hits do you guys usually get per pack? I will usually get one good hit out of my bong then maybe 1 to 2 more decent hits. My temp usually between 6.5-7 because anything under 6.5 doesnt give me much visible vapor.

Try turning your heat up a bit, if that just results in poorer flavor and no increase in vapor try adding a bit more herb per bowl.

Beautiful piece. Mine is also maple burl, and I'm very happy with the look and feel. I usually get two hits where I fully milk my bubbler, followed by 2-3 more hits where I have to stir the material between each hit and the vapor is getting thin fast, and maybe one more very wispy hit when I pulverize the material with my tool against the side of the glass and stir it. I could maybe stir it and do one more after all that just to make the extraction more thorough, but there would be no visible vapor at that point.

But also note that my bubbler is on the small side: a little over two inches wide, but the internal volume is less than 4" high. With a larger bong, yeah, one enormous rip followed by a few wispy ones sounds about right.
