Herb Grinders

I think you might do well with a large 2-piece Space Case, if you don't need more than two pieces.
I'll check it out , i would at least like something with a kief collector. Any thoughts on this : http://www.amazon.com/Shtriker®-Grinder-Extra-Piece-Tobacco/dp/B00UXWRPGW/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1447346615&sr=8-12&keywords=space+case+grinder+large

Edit *** ordered this for $9.99 , does not have to be the best , reviews seems good and its huge - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZOVKLKY?keywords=kingtop 3.0&qid=1447347405&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

I don't know if you saw this, but I added a little bit to my previous post.

Since you indicated that you would like a kief collector, Diamond Grind (4-piece or 5-piece) might be a good option. I feel like my Diamond Grind does a very good job of grinding. The only thing I don't like about the Diamond Grind is that the threading is not very good, especially compared to Santa Cruz Shredder. I'm not sure how big their largest size is, but it's probably around $40 US.

Can anyone recommend a decently priced large size grinder ? I usually grind enough for a week or two of vaping and keep the rest in a sealed jar. I been wanting something that i could just make a few passes through the grinder instead of having to grind like 10x , dump and fill again . Thanks
Don't know if it's priced decent but SCS makes a jumbo 4"
I think it's 140 $$$ kinda pricey
My mendo is 3" & same on sharpstone.
Really want a 3 pc SCS waiting to see if they make a 3"
Not a big fan of small grinders.
I think the 3 pc is 2& a1/4"

Good luck

I got a few quality grinders that i like to use and rotate that i spent good money on. I just wanted something big that would not break the bank right now. I ended up just grabbing this for $10 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZOVKLKY?keywords=kingtop 3.0&qid=1447347405&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 , the reviews seem good , its on sale and if it doesn't work well i can return it or i'd just gift it since it was so cheap. I appreciate your help though guys . Oh and i just noticed it has a Lifetime Warranty to boot.

Electric coffee grinder, cheap, fast and efficient.

I'm inclined to think a lot of those reviews are in the direction of fake (or "bought" by the seller), but you still probably made a good choice. I mean, it's $10.

Yeah you are possibly correct , that's what usually happens on Amazon . But only being $10 doesn't hurt to try it out. Plus that's allot of positive reviews already I'm sure the company didn't give that many away for free for reviews but you never know .

The big giveaway is when I read reviews from people who obviously don't even know what these things are for. For a long time I thought it was because maybe a lot of people are actually buying these things to grind basil and oregano. But then I saw the reviews for that green grinder I mentioned a couple weeks ago; a grinder I had never heard of nor seen on Amazon, but which had 40 reviews, almost all of which were 5 stars, with the other handful of reviews being 4 stars.

Also, every single review of that grinder had been written in the span of only two or three months. That doesn't happen with real grinders.

@Justpassedu I've tried the shtriker from amazon. I ended up returning it. I found a lot of metal shavings in the kief compartment, even after an iso wash. The threading was weird and it as difficult to easily screw the parts back on. I would not recommend.

You guys must of missed my post when they first dropped. They had a Veterans Day sale might still be going. Code was "Heroes"

They probably will have a nice sale coming up soon for Black Friday so I would wait on that before ordering.

I have been thinking of trying to take the screen out my large scs without damaging it. I don't really use the scs newer style anymore cuz I can't stand the screen on it, let's in way too much crap.

You know, I'm pretty sure that sharpstone makes their grinders from a zinc alloy too and I'd say they have a very good smooth grinder. It's my favorite grinder, but I haven't tried many. Just the cheap pig steel looking ones and the sharpstone ones. After that I never looked back. I always made sure my grinder was sharpstone because it was nice and smooth. Plus I liked the textured top. Well that kingtop one looks like a knockoff of the sharpstone xl. I had mine stolen so I think I'll try the one suggested here for ten dollars.

Thank you. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Totally agree with you about SharpStone being a good grinder. I love mine, still works as good as the day I got it! And I haven't babied it... It's been dropped onto concrete multiple times. It's had a lot of herb through it, and I haven't even cleaned it besides meticulously brushing it out after every use. The grind is nice and even as well... I could go on haha. (I'd say my SharpStone absolutely stands up to my buddy's Space Case, quality-wise, and at a fraction of the price. Though I am curious to try SCS, as they seem to be maybe a slight step up, from what I've heard.)

I would like to point out though, that SharpStone doesn't use zinc alloy in their grinders. This is taken straight from their website:
This is for a brand new Sharpstone Brand Herb Grinder:
  • Made from Aircraft Grade Aluminum Rod using the newest in CNC machining technology.
  • Anodized for smooth finish; this means no wear or smudge marks.

Okay. That's good to know. Huh, I've never had a zinc grinder, that's what I get for impulse buying. lol. Well I'll see if it doesn't give off any metal shavings. It says it has a lifetime warranty so I'm assuming it's not going to wear away on me. Could be a dud but I'll keep an open mind while trying it.

Seen enough broken teeth and metal flakes on sharp stones to never ever use them. I recommend kannastor for a lower mid priced brand that is still quality

Love my kannastor but it cost as much as an SCS- not lower mid-priced. I use both my 3 piece SCS and kannastor and have a bit of a preference for the kannastor.

I've had my SC small TI for a few months now and I really still find it so much better than any other grinder I've used. I have not tried another in it's price range, but it does such a fine job and I just don't see how the SCS, Mendo, Kannastor, can be so much better. I still would like a balanced argument about this.

Is there a difference between the grind of a 2 piece small SCS and a 3 piece small SCS?? Also are the sellers on Amazon legit? I'm thinking of buying one on there....with my cashback bonus I could get a 2 piece for $21 or a 3 piece for $40.

I had a sc and purchased the SCS 3 piece. Both are good, but the SCS gives a nice fluffy grind. I think it is better for vaporizing. My sc is somewhere in my vape Arsenal, but never look for it because I love my SCS. I would say sc is better for fine grinds, but that can be achieved by grinding upside down with sc.

Thank you, funny I think SC is fairly "fluffy". I think getting the small was a good idea for vaping, I understand that makes a difference.

Might be a great time to try the SCS, since Black Friday sales are coming up. Personally, the psychological aspect of wanting to try an SCS (with all the great reviews) warrants a purchase, because i will always be thinking "what can a SCS do." And eventually, I end up purchasing. Also, it's nice to have two top-of-the-line grinders, that won't kill your wallet like top-of-the-line vaporizers.

Where I live Kannastor are a hell of a lot cheaper, half the price of a SC or SCS. They seem to be cheaper in Canada for some reason.
