Looking for a new vape - coming from UD

Hi All,

I've been vaping daily for the last 3 years and I'm a big fan! Used to work remote so my Underdog was my main driver for a long while. Before that, Arizer Solo and MFLB.

Now I'm looking for a new vape but has a few new requirements:
  • Heavy Hitter (I'd much prefer to take one large hit, rather than staying stuck to the UD for 15 min or so)
  • For Flower
  • Quick heat up times
  • Small**
** I'm open to something that's plug-in or portable. However, I much prefer a small sleek portable just for the sake of being able to bring it with me. However, heavier hitting is one of my main priorities.

My suggestions would be the Crafty/Mighty, or the Zion. If Stealth is a concern, check out the Grasshopper - it's one of my favorite heavy hitting stealth vape - 5 second heatup times and vapor so thick you can feel the burn deep in your lungs if you want!

If you want it now, I would go for a Firewood 3 or Elevape Smart. Both are small, battery operated portables that offer huge hits. I started vaping with the MFLB at the beginning of this year and converted to the ESV 3 months later. The learning curve on the MFLB helped me to achieve great results with both the ESV and FW3. Go check out the threads on these for yourself and you will see they are both quick and efficient power hitters.

Grasshopper's and Zion's don't currently exist in real time, however if your in no rush you can get on the pre-order.

Just so you know, the Grasshopper and Zion aren't instantly available at this point.

I would throw the Summit into the mix. Quick heat time but the battery life isn't the best.

I know it's not portable or a new vape, but you can get a Variable Voltage Power Supply on Amazon for like $35 + the lab connector cables from Underdog for like $5-$10. That would cut down your heat up time, and you can increase the temp so you can do more, one hits and done. I'm able to "fully" extract a glass stem in one hit if I crank up the volts past 13. (Like 13.5-13.6 it does run hot, but you can use it more akin to a one hitter this way)

I have only done this on my dog that's a year old too and IMO runs cool, and I know underdog changed their cores recently so they run a bit hotter (I don't need a vvps for my other dogs) , so depending on when you got yours, ymmv.

I have the E-Nano and I can do two .03 bowls, two-three hits each bowl, and get completely stoned in about 5 minutes. I leave it on 24/7 so it's always hot, but it can heat up within 5 minutes for vapor.

The LSV is handheld (plug in), but will also rock your world. Made from 7th floor, the people who make the silver surfer. All glass vapor path, pack a .1-.2 and chill on it with thick rips (or pack more if you want, doesn't matter). Heats cold to hot in a few minutes.

The nano and the UD are gunna hit about the same minus the nylon stems being more of a one hitter.

you are correct they are session styles vapes but no where did the op state he wanted a one hitter , he said quick heat up times. If he is interested i am sure he will chime back in.

Honestly, I don't think a vape exists that will allow you to take only one big hit while bringing you to the same medicated state as hitting the UD for 15 minutes or so...

I'm still thinking the Mighty is what you're looking for. It's arguably the hardest hitting portable out there. In fact, it hits just as hard or harder than most desktops. It heats up to 390F in a fairly quick 75 seconds. I can load .2g and enjoy huge clouds and get full extraction in around 8 big rips. My session usually only lasts about 5 or 6 minutes. I might add the vapor is very cool and smooth compared to most Vapes..

Tell us a little bit about your tolerance level.. Most of us can't get to a desired medicated level with only one hit no matter how big the hit is. However, if your tolerance is that low, consider a one hitter quitter like the Lotus.

Not small or really portable but for huge 1 hit bong rips I recommend the EVO turned up to 2-3. If you're on a budget the LSV with wpa rips!! I'm hoping the grasshopper fills my small sleek portable niche when I get it.

I don't disagree that the Mighty is both heavy hitting and quick, but he did say this:

Which leads me to believe he wants something a bit more one and done. Mighty isn't 15 min, it will still take longer than many options. A min or two to heat up + vaping constantly during a session, can't just take one big Mighty pull and be done, you need to finish the bowl. A great vape though and would be doable with small amounts I suppose, just wouldn't be my first choice based on the "prefer one big hit"

I agree with you that a one hitter might be what he's looking for. My point was that you can't get the same high from 1 hit on a particular vape vs taking a large number of hits On another vape for for 15 minutes. How would that be possible?

Depends on the size of the hit really.

OP I'm sure you could get cheap glass, and something to adjust the voltage for under $100. Could make your UD what you're looking for.

Find me a vape Where I can take one hit and get just as medicated as numerous hits on other Vapes and I would sell all my Vapes and buy that one. I take 8 hits on my Mighty and get full extraction on a .2g to .25g load. I'm all about time, so if I could do it in one hit I'm in!!

Where is the OP anyway LOL...

I just ordered the Haze portable vaporizer. I should get it on Friday - it is my merry Christmas to me vaporizer this year. Last year it was the Arizer Air.

You can use flowers as well as shatter or wax seperatly. You don't even need to sandwich with your medicine because there are cans for concentrates. It comes with user replaceable batteries. I'm getting really excited - can't wait. I heard it produces great flavor.

I do think you can achieve full extraction in one hit, depending on the vape. Not the Mighty. Not often, but I can load .2 in an Underdog and have it be fully toasted and brown and producing really next to nothing after like 2 hits on a higher temp. Easier to do one hit extractions with smaller amounts, so maybe that's what you mean when you say you can't get as high on one hit, because it's normally a smaller amount, but if the amounts of material are equal, hits should be negligible in relation to high and only important in terms of time, if that makes sense.

Plenty of vapes around that will give you full extraction with .05-.1 in 1-2 hits. The key I beleive is a water tool

Oh, I see..the OP never stated the quantity he was seeking to extract with one hit. I just assumed he was referring to a larger amount of herb.. He did say he's been doing 15 minute sessions so I thought he meant at least .2g or so...when he comes back he can clarify...
