It's not the joint itself, its where the female joint is set when its blown is the problem.

Ok, just tried it properly and the problem is there but it isn't as bad as I thought. Actually I'm able to use it, the bad seal is not as bad.
If I try to draw with my finger in the end of the bamboo there is a tinny bit of air entering between the conection of the HT and EVO, really tiny and you can see just a few small bubbles inside the HT. But it's so small that you can use it without problem. You can milk the HT with no problem, but it's a bit anoying that the piece is not perfect. I will write Steven to tell him about it and how to improve the design.
I think that almost everyone that has had a Cloud and used it in different glass has found this problem with some bubblers. As another user said an adapter is enough to help with this, but no one to uses an adapter with an HT.

I too was waiting for the first reports before I jumped on the FC-MOD design. Maybe we can convince a different DHgate vendor like Yingmin5 / Sunshinestore / CleanClearGlass to reproduce the same piece with better quality.
I hate to say it, but I'm really glad I'm avoiding Steven - seems like you've got a 50/50 chance these days on getting something functional and usable.

Well, I think worse case scenario is that it won't work for the EVO.

I just contacted sunshinestore and cleanclearglass to see if they'd be interested in producing pieces for us. If they are interested, I will send them the designs for the Rattle Can (formerly dp-mini), Coil Can (formerly dp-twist), and the DP-UFO.
I imagine the FC-MOD could be reproduced using only the listing as reference, so it should be easy to do. I will make that request if I hear back and things move forward.

Alright who wants to briefly explain to me how a recycler, specifically the diffusion pump, works exactly?
Double filtration? What's the benefit? Is it only a concentrate thing which I can pretty much ignore, or good for herbs at all? Just thinking the Grasshopper could mate to a male joint easily at least...

A recycler is different from a diffusion pump.
A recycler works by constantly circulating water throughout the piece - the idea is cool (and fresher) water is making contact with the diffusion. I find my recyclers with similar perc designs provide more diffusion than the non-recycling counterparts. So far I really haven't found a recycler which retains maximum flavor - but if you're looking for a smooth hit, recyclers certainly deliver.
Diffusion pumps are a bit of the other side of the spectrum. The DP provides very minimal diffusion while still moisturizing the vapor.
I was pleasantly surprised when I paired my FC-710 with the E-Nano with dry herbs. There was a noticeable improvement in flavor when using identical conditions between the 710 and my GB-187-S (which is my favorite).
The only tradeoffs I hate about the FC-710 is the loud rattling ball clinking around (roommates will know every time you're ripping the 710), and it has a damn 14mm MALE fitting instead of a female fitting

Steven has been busy with a large order, and work on the new pump designs has been at a stand-still as a result. I'm now sending those designs to other manufacturers. If all goes well, we should have higher quality pieces made available to us sooner.

so should I wait? I recently dropped my old piece and now have a makeshift mod tornado coil to take dabs with until i get my small bubbler with nail from my buddy.
I was thinking of getting that fc-710, but if you think I should wait for a better product (hopefully soon) I'll do that. There's also this concentrates expo thing in LA december where maybe I can get deals on glass.
either way, let me know, buy or no buy?
what exactly did you link me to? how does that work? do you just attach that to your glass?

Received my first DHgate order yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised to find the craftsmanship is flawless and the function perfect. I was concerned that the low price might equate to low quality, but that's certainly not the case with this bubbler.
Still have three more pieces on the way - hoping the triple honeycomb bong and blue D020 I picked up turn out as good as this bubbler!

BTW, I also received FC-MP. My MP is exactly like what is being described, 18mm joint is to deep. Mighty with Muzzmod does not fit unless I use an adapter. It does work quite well though.
