@emmdeemo Thanks for sharing!

I've stopped taking photographs of the build process, now that I have it all documented... it would be a bit repetitive I think. But things are moving along really nicely with the next batch of 15 Okins! (even though I lost almost a week of shop time due to power outages, damn wind storms!)

SO much faster than the first batch now that I don't have to make all the tooling as I go. And I'm set to make even more time-saving improvements to the process for the batch after this one.

I've been receiving nothing but great comments about the Okin via email, which is totally awesome! It seems like people are especially enjoying it with concentrates as well.

I've got some new Milk Paint colours going onto this batch of boxes, so I'll be sure to post some photos of how they look!

I had not been able to use it a lot yet and that is why I haven't posted more. I mostly got this for me to be alone with and have a nice, ritualistic like, special, quiet time session without anybody fucking with me. That has been hard to come by the last couple weeks, but I digress..

That said, I love mine and I am proud to own it. What a great thing to hold in your hands and admire. I got pretty close to combustion the first time, sort of playing/trying to take it as far as I could which is not hard to do if that coal is really glowing. I picked up a nice torch and it gets those coals going in like 10 seconds.

People that came from smoking one hitters just might love this thing - from one hitters and then to log vapes made this not too difficult for me to get the draw pretty down. Maybe not expert status yet, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. It is refreshingly different, yet there is something totally familiar about it. Very similar flavor and feel to when I use my wooden Ed's stem with the enano, but unplugged and walking around.

The tip gets hot if you are toking away pretty hard. I was thinking it might be cool to have some kind of little tweezers/tool that match the drill to grab the hot coal of the prongs. So far I just let it cool enough to touch.

That's it for now... Honestly, it kinda speaks for itself. If the pics do it for you, holding it will not be a let down.

Well, not in the batch of 15 he announced......but the next. Haha. I'm 30. You're even closer!

@srama21

I think he's going to produce all 50 of the first run before taking more orders but I. Could be mistaken.
It's all good man. I know you like to frequent airports so when I get it, if you happen to be doing any work at McCarran Airport here in Vegas, PM me and we'll both give it a go:tup:.

Ah..well..wait a moment now. I should clarify.

Some people between 10-20 ordered two Okins.

But if it makes you feel any better, @Unisonruss I have lots of leftover parts that will make the next batch even faster...and you will for sure be included in that.

Next time I will say which people in line I will be working on, instead of just counting the number of Okins in the works. My bad.

And yes, I will be completing this order of 50 Okins before taking new orders.

The next 15 should be heading out to people soon I would think. A week or two? :shrug:

It is oddly silent.....

When it's silent, you know I'm spending all my time in the shop, heh. But I still check in here everyday.

@axakal , Glad that your shipment has finally arrived! and yep! It is indeed small!

There may be a neat little Okin accessory in the works, pretty excited about it, more on that later.
