next generation e-nails?

Mine has been stuck in madrid for a few days... So hoping it gets here tomorrow... That is the liger 2.0banger with quartz insert. After saying the first pictures I know I made a good investment. Sure looks like this thing is a step ahead.

Funny thing, my nail will be gold and the storm cap purple, kindoff like the one shown here.

Got any tips on best temps to use with and without insert?

And yeah, also have a sic insert coming my way when they are available.

So since the coil sits on that kinda sidecar piece, do you think a dropdown is needed or does the joint that connects to the rig stay pretty cool?

Right on made in CO! I was just looking at those yesterday. Been wanting to get an e-nail compatible quartz banger so I bought one of their 20mm turtle bangers and carb caps. Should be here tomorrow.

I wonder if we'll see 100% SiC nails hit the market any time soon.

Awesome company and the owner Josh is a great guy! I would actually go with the Liger personally over the turtle based on longevity. The Turtle looks cool too but quartz is fragile, I like the idea of a titanium body and just the dab surface being quartz (or SiC) rather than the bulk of the nail. Mainly because I break shit.:goon:
Sic and Quartz inserts for the Ti liger are worth the extra cost. Inserts are also coming for the Zeus which is a great nail but I haven't tried the inserts for that one.

AND YES! SiC Inserts are coming early December for the Liger. He is only accepting 30 pre-orders of each size SiC insert. I have dibs on 1 of each so that makes 29x 20mm and 29x 16mm available lol.

He also told me about another "vaporization" bucket that will attach to the Liger body that will vape flower and hash. Since they will be coming out with new attachments for the Liger body that makes it seem like a better investment. I'm really excited to see what he comes up with, I was thinking maybe like the sublimator upside down?!

So since the coil sits on that kinda sidecar piece, do you think a dropdown is needed or does the joint that connects to the rig stay pretty cool?

Joint stays completely cool on the liger and there is very little reclaim on that nail so the drop down really isn't Necessary at all. That's the beauty of banger style nails.

With the quartz insert I use it at 710 for big rips and 680-690 for flavortown depending on the concentrate.
Without the insert these temps would be much lower. I haven't used mine without the quartz but the way he designs the barrel coil to surround the entire cup, (Below, even with, and above the dab surface) the heat transfer is very accurate. I used his 20mm Zeus last night at 650 degrees and I was getting huge flavorful hits right off of the titanium. I would start at 640 and go up from there depending on preference if dabbing right off of the Ti surface. The insert quartz insert will require 30-50 degrees higher IMO and only time will tell on the SiC but we will know in a few weeks!

@mrbonsai420 what is the diameter of your carb-cap?

Did you get the 20mm or 16mm v.2 Liger?
Does it fit both?
It looks like it has a terraced stepped design that would fit multiple size dishes.

Also RE: differences between V1 & V2.
I noticed you had one (or maybe two V1 Liger's in the background of your photos).
Are there any additional design advantages in the V2 other than it's complete modularity?
$100 for the V2 vs $70 for the V1.
The V2 however, is way sexier.

Shipment notification on quartz halo preorders

WOO-HOO!

Yeah I really like the looks of the Liger. I'd like to compare side by side the Liger v2 Sic and quartz with the storm cell cap vs the D-nail SiC and quartz halos with universal v2 cap. I love my halo dishes but I can taste a hint of Ti in the hit due to the heated Ti in the airway but I have really sensitive taste buds. If someone made a SiC nail similar to the 710 whip nail I'd snatch it up in a heart beat. The reason I bought a turtle banger is I prefer the taste of a dab off my 4mm analog banger to the SiC halo due to the Ti flavor and I want that flavor profile without having to pull the torch out.

D-Nail Quartz Halo's are now in stock which is actually earlier than expected. I decided to hold off for the time being since I just dropped a ton of money on a rosin press setup but I'm looking forward to reading the reviews and comparisons to the SiC Dish.

Dude, get it. It is hands down tastier than the SiC. The wik surface > all other dab surfaces. I have especially noticed this since my sapphire halo broke (due to a malfunctioning beta version of the slim series base, not my fault and d-nail got me covered for replacement), leaving me with SiC and quartz only.

I used SiC quite a bit more at first, since the break had me petrified of breaking another nail. This gave me a chance to really review the differences between SiC, Quartz and sapphire. Since my new non-beta slim series base got here, quartz is back in play. I have to say, quartz gets INCREDIBLE flavor, better than the SiC and honestly much closer to the sapphire halo flavor.

Let it be known throughout the land that nobody will be disappointed with a quartz halo! For all of you who love the flavor of quartz (also those who rightfully want more flavor still!) but hate the vapor trails, this is the one for you!

I do think that having seen one break, sapphire nails should be reserved for only those who are very sure that they won't break shit. Seriously, they can break, take it from me! :(

By the way, for whoever asked a while back, yes the 1.4 bases are the slim series bases. The name is interchangeable.

Also sorry I've been absent lately, I recently had a buddy take his own life among a bunch of other shitty things and have been taking some time out...

Well shit, maybe I'll see if I can try it sooner than later. Would love to get a bit more flavour out of my delicious QWET and even more so when I start making rosin. Bubbleman apparently broke his sapphire too, fell onto some concrete in Jamaica and broke into several pieces.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I had to deal with that a month ago when a close friend of a friend died the same way, I can't say I know what you're going through, but I know where you're coming from and it's a shitty situation. *Hugs*

Indeed apparently people were playing with Bubbleman's sapphire halo that shouldn't have.

Man few things are sadder than broken sapphire, except for the kind of shit that you kindly gave your condolences for. Gives you some perspective for sure! Thanks for the kind words man!

You'll have a ball with the quartz halo :D

Man your talk about qwet has me thinking - I haven't made or dabbed any solvent extracts in months! Maybe I might make some nice absolutes out of these insane nugs that I got so much full melt from - surely couldn't hurt!

I have also barely squished any rosin, having had a steady diet of 4-6 star bubble hashes to enjoy.

By the way, I've had a great chance to get familiar with the d-nail flower adapter. TBH I do wonder if this is a smoother, tastier, way to enjoy 4 star hashes than squishing them! Also the taste is unmatched vs other flower vapes. I never use my Mighty anymore.

Also got my new ninja nail (custom built into pelican 1500 case instead of a t-case). It is heaven and I love stress free transport of the d-nail and my chosen rig!

@MileHighLife - So what's your overall opinion of the Quartz Turtle Banger? It seems like a steal at its price if it gives great flavor and works properly. Also, how well did the Storm Cell Carb Cap work with the banger? Thanks!

I've had the liger v2 with quartz heart((dish insert)) and RDK200 since tuesday and let me say this is my first enail setup ; ive used a friend of mines a few times, but i really cant imagine it getting better this(( ive never had the opportunity to use SiC or saphire, sic liger heart in the mail ))..
BUT I HAVE TO WARN ANYONE WHO BOUGHT THE LIGER V.2
There is a design flaw if th3 insert is alresdy in, the shaft that connects the Ti dish to the body, will butt up against the lip of the insert if one were to overtighten can if careless cause the dish to break. Or as in my case assuming it was designe that way 2ith the purpose of secureing the quartz i tightened till it fit snugly but by no mean enough to harm the quartz.....until the Ti with it larger thermal expansion qualitties get hot..... was in the middle of a dab at 700f when i h3arx the light crackle then pop of the quartz cracking .... the sides of the smaller cup of the insert cracked living it sorta forked thank god the liger heart is two sided and the cup on the reverse side was left intact so .

I contact3d josh ((seller)) and advised him of what i thought to be a small lack of advisory content on the website and instructions maild with the liger on proper assebly/use of the n locking nut/design flaw as a courtesy to his company....I felt that it was partly user error that resulted in the breakage so I DID NOT EVEN MENTION THEM REPLACING it i had resolved to having had a learning edperience and being lucky it was high quality quartz that did not fragment. But he offered to send me a free replacement, that he was sorry about the design flaw with this production run of the insert that the problem had been resolved with the latest production run ((and the sic insert)) ....i was so impressed that i mentioned ordering the sic insert....and he then said he woud mail it with replacemwnt insert. Feeling great about having the unexpected free replacement , i didnt even blink at having to wait for it to be shipped tol the sic was released after all it was free and unexpected.....i recieved two email notifications n one right after the othe the next morning on3 was josh telling me he had shipped the inserts he hoped i enjoyed the SiC and apologizing again the other usps confirmation....I have a SiC insert in the mail ((tracking says in auroura Colorodo)) to be here the 20th....the rest of the preorders havent shipped yet have they?....regardless im awestruck by this companies customer service quality

P.s i also have the turtle banger...if liger were to be used as a standard at a 10 the turtle in funtion and taste is a 9.5 flavor is on par with liger but is way more fragile as well as i feel the liger is way more of a stable nail for nail for enail cause the lockg nut safely secures coil no matter what to your nail. TLthe turtle has to be carefully supported by the shaft on banger gong joint but easily can slip off however the turtle heats faster and i find temp control more accurate than with liger.....does anyone wish the storm carb cap actually sat on the nail so that it didn need to be held or carefully balanced.

Does the Storm cap not fit snuggly on the Liger V2?

The design of the cap, with it's ability to dab and cap simultaneously, is what I find to be the most appealing about the system.

If it doesn't fit "properly" then you might have just saved me some $!

EDIT: Upon rereading your post it looks like you lament that the storm cap doesn't fit on the Turtle banger.

So the Storm Cap does fit snuggly on the Liger V2, yes?

It fits but does not "sit" securely the s cap beveled edge meets perfect with lip of the liger and will stay in place if not jarred and kept level but the slightes tilt and the top heavy cap will tumble... the carb caping and dabbing aspect works perfect if you get dabber ready and then set on banger and leave stationary...letting the dab melt off but the shaft only threads up and down independently of cap side to side motion will allow air around the cap...personally i dont see any necessity to manually spread dab around to dish with a enail heat should be constistent so i dont see any real improvements to be made besides maybe increasing the size of bevel lip so that it more securely can support the cabcap independently ....im lazy, and when i enter glob it i like to be able sit down with rig to set the carb on and leave it alone til glob is done or i want to cool down the chamber and momentarily lift cap

Edit: sorry pretty dabspaced out i WAS refering to liger banger fiting to cap....i think cap was designed for v1 and might fit better?can anyone confirm this theory? Also sorry bout all the typos and fractured sentences. NOT EASY TYPING ON THE PHONE WHEN YOU ARE SO BAKED YOU CAN HEAR YOUR HAIR GROWIN

Hey quick question about the Quartz Halo, I am looking into buying it now actually and was wondering if it is necessary to remove the head every time you turn it off to avoid cracking? I had the SiC and my gf broke it so I am looking to replace it but do not want to have to remove it every time I want to put it away lol.

How in the hell did your GF break a SiC dish?

:(

@mrbonsai420 How does your Storm cap fit on your Liger V2?
Does it fit better on the Liger V1?

It looks like the V2, when compared with V1 is:
more modular.
can be bought in a bigger size (20mm).
and can fit on a 45* rig.

Am I missing some other attribute that raises the V2 above the V1?

Whoa, how did your GF break the SiC halo?

Na man I leave my quartz/sapphire on and running 24/7 quite often, and when turning off do not remove the dish. No problems there at all :)

Hey btw all if you want one of the new D-nail slim series bases with a SiC dish, you can configure them here for a tidy $120 USD for the base and the dish together, with 2 x adapters for the base so you can connect to different GonG joints! Beats the Infiniti by a long shot, and is the best nail setup I've used so far! Check out the deal here:

The v2 has a live design aspect in that new attachments or add ons are about to be made available though the original design3r/seller((usually cheep chinese copies soon to follow,or maybe new product designed around liger base)) so your purchase can be "updated" or personalized and has less chance of ending up buried with all the old dab toys that ((admit it )) you most likely have in a drawer or closet i have a shoebox full....
