I fear that if I purchase the evo, that is all I am going to use. My herbie, lsv, minivap and e-nano will get no love. Anybody experience this?
Even though I'm still in the honeymoon phase with the EVO I still end up using other vapes!! I seshed with the Daisy last night and used the LSV with the wand yesterday morning.

@harmless healing i torch the glass nails and no issues so far. I hope the new price for the Quartz nails are a little more affordable as I want to pick up a couple extras

So I should get my Evo tomorrow, very excited. I have the house to myself, I've just started watching Boardwalk Empire, so I foresee a very unproductive but awesome day. I wanted one ages ago, but had to wait for the international version to come out and a little longer for the kinks to get sorted. I have some good vapes in my collection, but I have high hopes for this. Massive dense clouds and that smashed in the face feeling is what I'm after, and from what I've read this will deliver. I will keep you futhermuckers posted.

I'm still waiting for the adapter package with the 18mm-to-whip and a cloud-buddy replica.
I don't remember any package from vapefiend taking more than 5 days to deliver, this will be the first one.
Maybe because of the immigration crisis delaying borders, but I don't think it would affect this package, probably just random delay.

The cloudbuddy is probably a replica, because it's even cheaper than on vapexhale.com, and the photo looks slightly different. The ninety degree bridge between the two intakes seem to be thinner than the original cloudbuddy. I am sligthly worried that it couldn't hold a heavy vape in that joint. That could be a problem if I had a piece with the female joint too close to a can so tall that the EVO wouldn't fit even into the extended straight end of the cloudbuddy. And conneticting two inverted vapes, which is not possible anyways even with the original, you would need at least 2 of them to connect two inverted evos. But I can connect the second vape via a silicone whip and that shouldn't put too much weight on that bridge.

Also all of my vapexhale water tools (hydrabase bomb, hydracirc 2.0 and vertigotree) have got several aesthetic imperfections/flaws.

My hydrabase is slightly crooked everywhere and the male joint is off-center and has got some glass bubbles and some slits are unevenly spaced (but that is located on the bottom of the barrel, so it doesn't matter)

My hydracirc 2.0 also got some glass bubbles and unevenly spaced slits and it wobbles when it stands without a hydrafoot.

The vertigotree has got a bit of rought glass finish on the perc/mouthpiece seal, its arms are sligthy crooked on the bottom (below slits) and its got the same crack-like circular line where arms meet the dome. It's just an imperfect seal on the glass, not a crack and I think the case being discussed here lately could be the same thing.

All of them are premium vapexhale pieces, they work flawlessly, just have these visual flaws. I think the current prices after the recent permadiscount matches the quality of these pieces better. As said, you have to expect these visual flaws on most glass unless you are paying many hundred for a premium brand. And even those can have few flaws.

Nice, enjoy man! (with Evo its a given) Boardwalk is a good ride, ups and downs, but I liked what they did with it overall in the end too.

Can't wait for that same team's next show in February, Vinyl, also produced with Mick Jagger, about a 1970s record label exec.

got mine in today (air mail) piece is sturdy and holds the evo on the offset joint. space in between is like 2.5 - 3.0cm (depends if you measure the tube or the joint). Give it a close look mine got a little crack on the joint doesn't look like it will go any further and don't want to send it back so will just go with it like this and maybe get a backup with my next order.

EVO may get most of the love for 2-3 weeks but you own some top notch vapes and before long I predict the EVO will find its place in regular rotation with the others.

I also have a Herbie and MiniVAP and they pretty much got equal time with the EVO when I had all 3. I even thought I could do without an EVO, but it really does have its unique niche that the Herbie and MiniVAP can't fill.

I don't have an Herbie or MiniVap to compare to. Do you mind expanding on that? Thanks.

Anyway, anybody try a 7th Floor vapor tamer like the Saturn with the Evo? I have credit at VaporNation that I've been meaning to put towards something worthy, and it would make it cost only around $55 in the end...

I do on occasion but I seem to use the Tamers with the MiniVap and LSV more. One of my biggest concerns with pairing the EVO to the tamer is you have hot glass on cold glass connection unless you use some sort of adapter in between. I guess I am just concerned one of those glass pieces is going to break as a result.

Another reason may be because I like the hydratubes with the EVO more often.

Ah yes, this is a concern of mine as well. Original plan was to get the tamer for Zion and GH, but with such a lovely 18mm glass vape right here it crossed my mind again of course...

It's not so much about those specific vaporizers. Just the notion that when you have a number of higher end vapes you'll probably end up rotating them after the honeymoon with the new one is over. They each have different strengths and weaknesses so I reach for a different one depending on my mood and what I want to do with it.

Yuck. Combustion with my EVO tonight. What a nasty surprise. I am so spoiled by vapor.

I cleaned my Hydratube of smoke essence while it cooled down. I checked the bamboo and found it whole. I also cleaned inside the hollow joint where there was a lot of residue but it didn't seem to extend beyond that.

I think it may have been caused by having the airflow at the bottom blocked by the velcro strap of the heat jacket that can sometimes slip upward along the body of the EVO as I hold it. Alternatively, I may have gotten stoned and lazy and blocked it with my leg. These are my best guesses, anyway.

I've been using it since and everything seems fine. I've ditched the heat shield, though, probably for good this time. I find that I'm always adjusting it and that's a bit annoying.

@KimDracula Was this combustion with herbs ? Asking because I have had combustion happen about 3 times in the space of two weeks. But of course the common variant for me was the material used; not in legal state, don't know what has been sprayed in this material- I know it isn't high quality. It would happen to me on my last hit of a small chamber at the three position. The HT would fill up thick smoke and the smell would give me flashbacks of my bong using days .

The last three times it happened- it was a bit scary, I just saw the material turn into a little fireball inside the ELB and of course I removed it straight away and emptied the ash into an ashtray .

As long as I don't put it on the 3 o clock position it does not combust. Sucky thing is now all of my Elb's have a black ring round them . Had this Evo over a month now and it is a European unit which I do believe run hotter then the north american units. Combustion didn't happen with other strains, just this strange one.

Yeah, it was herb at 3 o' clock. I really hope it doesn't happen again. I've used this strain a few other days without incident. It's high-quality, although it could have had a better cure, IMO but it's not moist or anything.

I've noticed a temp increase when blocking the intake hole as well, @KimDracula

@mixchu69 -- It comes down to your rituals and needs. The only vape that really invades my Evo time is Herbie due to the quick heat up time. If you need to get in and out as quickly as possible, then Herbie is king. Otherwise I like to take the time to let my Evo or VHW heat up. They are all top notch vapor producers, so it comes down to style and other differences.

Damn it!!!! I just broke my Quartz vxn when I was loading it. I was trying to get the dab off the edge of the dabber and kinda twisted the dabber when I pulling it out and it just snapped. I hope Vapexhale get more Quartz in stock soon.

Got my Evo working well again with some fiddling with the bamboo. Is the glass airpath easily removed if the Evo is unscrewed in the back? I am not capable with soldering and wiring and the like, but my bamboo has a strange tilt when I twist it back and forth, and I have the intuition that I could fix it if I had the glass taken out and sitting in my hand.

But really, I'm doing a research paper on Vyvanse but then I hit my Evo and started coasting, way, way past anywhere or anything involving A Streetcar Named Desire and Tennesee Williams' biographical inspiration. Hope all is well. Now I'm listening to Leonard Cohen and the Weeknd croon into my soul, reading FC threads like a methhead and rapping about the Evo.

But the Vapexhale got me slumped up, drooped down, drooling dreams out on the pavement

I spoke with them, and they are supposed to get more quartz vxnails soon.

Has anybody tried plugging an aquarium pump into the bottom of their EVO's Bamboo to fill bags?

Yes I have, and it works pretty well. I used an herbalizer bag with some ssv tubing going out, and aquarium pump tubing fits right into the bottom of the bamboo. A pressure valve is necessary for air control.

I have a water pump, extra bags, and herbalaire clips. And I have an 18/18 female/female, so I reckon I could use that as a mouthpiece pretty nicely? Think I may try this after my pizza arrives :D

I saw someone talking about cleaning their VXNails awhile back....I tend to let them sit in the EVO for a few minutes now after, but I"m noticing some residue building up on the end of the joint on the bamboo....regardless, if/when they get really filthy and you have a torch, the top of the nail fits pretty perfectly in a 14mm female...I have a cap I got with a bong awhile back, just sit the nail in there, put a piece of parchment paper underneath to catch any drippings, and torch away. Found it a really good stand to clean the nails on, just wanted to share.

That looks like it would make a good stand to hold an ELB when you're filling it.

Are the quartz VXNs meant to last longer (i.e., be more durable) than their glass counterparts?? When i heard quartz i hear of the transluscent rocks that my friends and i used to think were so cool in elementary school, but is there any similarity?

Are the quartz vxns any more durable? Thanks

Here is what I was told by the an executive at VapeXhale: The Quartz VapeXNails are much stronger and more durable. Quartz deals much better with heating up and cooling down over and over again, which makes it the ideal glass for the VapeXNail.

Hmm! My EVO just did that thing again where it refuses to switch off no matter how much I toggle the switch. I was able to fix it same as I did last time (unplug unit, set knob at resting notch, plug back in, toggle switch, offer a quick prayer to a higher power of your choosing until issue is resolved) but it is slightly concerning that my EVO misbehaved again so quickly. The only thing I can think of is that I had it sitting at max temp for maybe 15 mins or so to heat soak (and also because I stepped away to make a cup of tea and got distracted reading the news, /cough) -- would that be enough to make the unit act up?
