¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry, 4 months just doesnt seem long enough for something that wasnt out when you ordered. I understand the frustration but to wait so long then leave, unless you needed the money.. i didnt earn it for you so i cant tell you how to spend it, but ehh.. if you ignore their updates, a GH would eventually surprise you!

It seems to be getting to the point where people aren't willing to risk the money anymore. Given the price of herb/rent and other things one can see why! Hopper could easily be 2 weeks rent by the time you convert from usd and add postage/tax. Surely GHL would estimate refunds? Especially the longer it drags out.

So glad people are refunding. When you're scared, you are afraid of risk. Which doesn't make sense when you've come this far. Should thank them for continuing to do their deed and get these vaporizers out. Yes it took a long while but I'm sure it'll be efficient in vaporizing material which is said to rival that of Storz N' Bickel clunky Mighty/Crafty. Let's face it, it will get hot. But you can find alternatives if it isn't for you. Steel balls in the fridge for exclusive home use would be ideal to cooling after extensive usage. I know a lot of people who could go for a full rip maybe two hits and then set it down for a bit and work on something else. Should be more than enough considering the performance of the Grasshopper. It's a breakthrough in vape technology made in such a form. We wanted a realistic working pen vaporizer that exceeds expectations and albeit hasn't gotten raving reviews for shipping out consistent batches but at least they are working towards a goal made possible thanks to past backers. We made something worthwhile exist and possible. For those wanting to refund, you may regret it when Grasshopper V2.0 comes out and they opt to provide an upgrade plan in the near future for existing backers. The price could easily double all thanks to legitimacy in the work.

Even if the warranty changes, I'm sure once they have all issues zeroed out they would definitely switch back to honor lifetime warranty. I mean take a look at Haze company, they honor lifetime and have started an upgrade program which lots of consumers appreciate to this day and they had to start somewhere. Compared to the Herbalizer, which only gets 2 years and 5 year guarantee blahblahblah, they have yet to start the 2nd generation rebuild but the machine proves successful in operation.

(UNRELATED TO SHIPPING POLL.. NECESSARY TO MENTION)

For Grasshopper to work and provide an exceptional 2-4 bowls on a single battery and capable of fast charging due to a small battery size could prove that technology in battery might be evolving into more energy efficient way to use power. Using when needed is the key to maximizing battery life. Charging is done almost immediately after depletion and helps keep the lithium memory stable rather than losing future cycles. It's capable to retain the same percentage each cycle because you're not charging everytime you get the chance, rather charging only after it's been used up. When you charge a lithium battery often times you'd like it to go to about 20% depletion before having to recharge. It makes sense that if you use it while charging, you would lose memory each cycle as it's not fully recharging at an idle state to 100%. Each battery will eventually wear out. Having two batteries is the most ideal approach upon receiving your grasshopper. It's not necessary unless you plan to use frequently and are usually on-the-go with no source of electricity around most times. Having two extra batteries is ideal for running all day before recharging them routinely altogether. For an infrequent user, two batteries would be more than enough. You don't want to keep lithium batteries full for extended times without use. That's what I've learnt about Cera and Luna and have been sticking to that knowledge since.

I'm hoping the company can continue replacing faulty units at the rate they seem to be happening? It makes it very expensive for a new company to stay viable. I don't know how they can continue a lifetime warranty process. At that rate the company won't be able to stay in business. I think a lifetime warranty is great for the customer. You don't see very many lifetime warranties because it's expensive for the company.

Good luck GH - I'm still hoping to get one of these units some day.

Mine's gonna get a lot of heavy, heavy usage. Hope it lasts longer than my Pinnacle did. It's gonna get put through it's paces ;-)

Just got my email confirmation asking which wood version I want! Oh wait, wrong thread, I meant my VapCap, ordered in August, should be shipped to me in Dec. Oh the irony, ordered 5 months after my GH preorder.

Havent checked here in a while... just got the mixed review update a few weeks ago from GHL. Any one of you figure out a delivery time frame yet? I am a March 21 preorder that still says Nov delivery and they said estimated delivery dates should now be updated on the website! :sherlock:

We all know nothing, they are touching the 50% mark w/ backers - ie we've heard up to Dec 4th backers getting address confirms, but Dec 3rd isn't finished yet, hopefully another rush of confirms out Monday & Tuesday.
Something to consider: In the last update to pre-order folk, they said the newly received batch of 180,000 parts was what was needed to complete all outstanding orders. As there are about 60 parts per hopper, that'd make 3,000 completed units. We don't know how many they had parts for already - stated 1500 units built (w/ parts that needed to be redesigned :uhoh:) so that kinda implies, at least a little more clearly than before, that total # of units sold, backer's + preorders, is 5000 +/- 500, right? That would mean recent pre-orders aren't THAT far back in line, and only three months at their current 1300/mo capacity would get to everybody.
Huh, caught up by end-of-February is almost a reasonable thought...

yeah, I'm looking into a refund now too. I may switch to a SS. I have a blue ti ordered but from the photos of blue ti models I've seen they are inconsistent in color.

I had hopes with the last two updates or so that the issues of failing units was found and fixed.... but...

Idk I'm just not feeling the need for this vape anymore. DECISIONS

idk... maybe it is just the lighting...

I once dreamed like you. Ordered one in early August, delivery was indicated for Sept. Perfect. I thought! Wife's birthday, covered! Projection shifted to Nov. and at this point we seem to be looking at months into next year at best, for an order like mine.
Based on all information, and adjusted for track record , delivery of a new order seems very, very unlikely in 2015. There's a separate thread for that, see Grasshopper Shipping thread, the place people go while waiting.

Absolute best case scenario is December, but I don't think that's likely. I mean, there's a chance, but a small chance, I think.
Maybe if they massively ramp up production, as they say, but I 'unno man, might be January-February.
I still recommend you order one though, if you're alright with holding out that long for it.
