Not unless it is included in the standard package. Honest question here, if I don't mind opening it to stir it by hand, does it even matter? I figured it was just one more thing to potentially break/clean. I don't mind stirring the old fashioned way for now. I was thinking of adding it on later once I know I enjoy the ESV.

Agree with Kaptan, overall I don't use the stir screen unless I need super duper stealth, say in a movie theater. Otherwise it's much better to crack open and stir, like really flip the load around just like a Firefly, bottom on top, switch sides, etc. I do that every hit or two.

Also yeah bottlecap screen definitely better overall, and take out the mouthpiece screen is my biggest recommendation. Enjoy man!

Just so Dab HAppy!
The stir tool can also act as a heat sink so I feel it is better without as well. I usually just stick my thumb in the heat chamber after about 3 hits and smash everything down. Then I put the lid back on, give it a good shake and rip away! I also shake it after every hit once I have done this. I take pretty big hits so I'm usually only getting 6-8 hits per chamber with this method right now but they sure are some great ones!

Yeah man its a total tank!

First charge could be integral so I'd try to hold out and use a plug in today!

Yeah I plugged it in to check the battery meter and saw after 40 minutes or so it was at 10% so I'm letting it charge. Gotta have a nice full battery to update the FW anyway, something I know from tinkering with other devices. Never flash FW on a low battery, I've had some close calls lol.

@darkrom, what is your serial no.?

Did yours come with the stir lid or the regular one?

Got an AMAZING bowl after updating to the latest FW after actually waiting for the full charge!

Second bowl I'm not getting heat anymore. Probably some kind of user error? First bowl was amazing. I've been in contact with Joe so I let him know whats going on. Man if I can get it working like that first bowl RELIABLY then I'm hooked. That thing tasted amazing and put out more vapor than expected. I did hear some kind of buzzing on the end of the inhale, I assumed it was the LED shutting off making some kind of buzz/hum. Hopefully thats normal.

Man I want this thing back that taste and general use was incredible.

Also I had one of the 2 metal pieces on the lid fall off right out of the box :/ But the lid holds on just as good from what I can tell with just the one. I figured I'd buy a spare lid and some extra screens etc etc once I get to know it a little better.

EDIT: Great news and great news. Just needed to tighten the coil. Joe went above and beyond. I had an issue and less than 10 minutes later I'm talking to him on his cellphone with an instant fix? Thats unheard of in this industry. Amazing customer service and Joe is a real nice guy.

Also more good news, there was nothing at all shady or bad about Vape-Smart. They also had great customer service and emailed me to make sure my order came in as expected.

Every setback has been minor so far and I really look forward to more bowls like that first one. It was nice getting a crash course in the coil from Joe as well. I really really like this thing off of first impressions. More so than the average new vape honeymoon effect.

Now that's what I call a win-win situation! For you Bonding with your new vape, and for Vape-smart.com for proving themselves. When I heard that Joe was in communication with them, I knew that was a good sign...

You realize, of course, that this is not making it any easier for me to wait for tomorrow :\

Absolutely this, in fact I find that with the bottle cap method i can just shake the contents.

Hi guys,

hopefully I will hold the lil black magic box in my hands soon, too.

I was wondering if it's possible to "session" this vape somehow?
And is it obligatory to go for the full 8secs+ inhalation? Or can you do a 2-3 sec puff/sip also? (Wondering if you could empty the air path by just drawing lightly so that the heating sensor could be underrun?)

Thanks for your advice, guys!

Happy elevaping :)

Thanks!

I meant to not use it like a one hitter/big hitter but to have a whole (longer) session with nice and small tokes with the same amount of erb.
So basically smaller puffs resulting in a longer session instead of ripping it? I love to session enjoying the taste on low temps:drool:

Is it possible to underrun the sensor when drawing very slowly/slightly somehow?
Or how could you manage to clear the air path when not goin all the way thru red lights and shut off?:hmm:

Great to hear you're having a good time with it. I was sure about it!:rockon:

Yes, you can session, back to back hits, as many as you want, I just always stir so that part can get tedious I suppose.

If you want a longer hit, do the opposite. Hit it for a 3sec primer puff, then full 8sec puff, draw for a sec after light turns off to clear. Its all draw dependent, some can clear it before the flash but I ha e trouble and don't like the lingering vapor either. Drawing too slow risks combustion, doesn't "trick" the sensor.

@Xero probably too small, I cut down Indica screens for my bottle caps

How would I clear the lingering vapor when only drawing for like 2-3 secs? As I understand the heater will still be active- even when draw is small. Is there some technique to do the trick? I'm more of a sipper dude taught by the Air. Have a low tolerance also so am looking for something suitable :)

Appreciate your help big time!

I think part of the answer is there's very very little 'lingering' vapor? The vapor path (from the load to you) is a very small volume really, it's not like a 'chalked' WT. Also, being true convection, vapor production stops very rapidly with air flow stopping.

Play with it some, I just don't feel this is a real issue, I sure don't recall it coming up in the thread thus far?

Yeah as OF said it'd be minimal vapor, but again I recommend not doing this, its nothing like the Air, no slow sipping (Air is mostly conduction with a weak heater, needs slow sipping, why mouthpiece has draw restriction). This is 100% convection, its all breath, slow sipping could cause combustion, you want a quick 8sec puff, i never feel like that is too long, if anything can be too short hence the double puff. You can do a short puff, but I wouldn't. I've used it with people who have, and then I try to take my hit quick to clear it all after them. If there is lingering vapor, which can occasionally happen even with a full puff, you see it escape when you open the bowl to stir, at which point I draw with lid still off to clear before stirring.

I don't feel like there is any "stale" vapor issue to be had with this design.

I think I've gotten used to this thing very quickly. Not much room for user error. Really enjoying it.

Anyone know what the max amperage this thing will take? I have 2 and even 3 amp chargers now. The stock wall charger is 0.5a. I'd love to charge it faster and not even consider the battery, similar to what I do now with quickcharge phones and usb C.

Also, what spare parts should I order, and where can you get the spare parts? I'll try the stirring lid if its not expensive. I'm going to get a replacement lid, replacement screens, maybe replacement mouthpiece. Basically...I hate downtime.

Stock charger is terrible, I use my Motorola usb and charger, very reasonable charge time.

Two lids is nice for less cleaning, one can have the stir lid one without, though now both of mine have bottle cap screens. Definitely ask Joe about getting the delrin mouthpiece, so much better in fit and even flow.

Glad you've taken right to it dude, this'll get you through the Zion wait for sure

Yeah even with the zion in hand, this will see use. Its not a temporary purchase like I thought, I really dig it.
Can't stuff a zion in my pocket and charge it easily anywhere. Can't be this stealthy with really any other vape. Two thumbs up so far.

During my visit with Joe, I asked why use such a small stock charger. It is because he wanted everything small so you can fit in the case provided.

It can make use of up to one Amp. At least the newer ones can. My 'first 100' is limited to .5 Amps (hardware no doubt?), but modern ones can charge at higher rates. A low power source just means longer times, past one Amp no further advantage happens.

The tests I did on my newer one showed a maximum capacity of 1017mAh 'bottom to top' at 1.05 Amps (takes about an hour). My older unit showed 977mAh charging under the same conditions but drawing half an Amp (so it took twice as long). Both from the same 3 Amp (maximum) source.

Thats all I was trying to say to you before when I told you I didn't see my Zion leaving my house much and asked you if yours would...now you see why I feel the Zion won't need to leave the house much. The Elevape is just too convenient.
