Under some advice from @OF I looked into UK suppliers of rubber end caps. I wanted a few more but they are £4 from vapefiend and then you would need to pay for postage on top.

I found a website called http://www.mocap.co.uk/ and found they do the right kind of thing. Best of all you can order a sample completely free! They sent me 3 and they work really well. Don't think they are high temp so bare that in mind.

I asked for a sample of the A13.5S size. They are very tight, maybe a size up could do. They do 14.3MM also.

Speaking of dhgate, my Air got a new friend yesterday :)

While the plastic-tipped stem does fit the 14mm connection decently well, I will definitely be investing in a GonG stem so that the Air can sit on top of it more securely and so there hopefully isnt quite as much of a restricted airflow.

I forgot how much I missed vaping through water, it's been a long time. It wasn't something I really thought about much with my solo, but the shorter air path of the Air definitely made this purchase a no-brainer.

I use these for keeping my batteries safe and I buy my stem caps from vapefiend. Little tip with the battery protectors, buy 2 different coloured sets, one for charged and one for used.

Also on a side note for anyone in UK debating an Air, Volcanovaponline aka Superstar vapes are selling atm 134.95 with free delivery. They also have a bricks and mortar premises in Bristol, half vapes, half fireworks. Who said combustion is just for inhalation

I bought my vapman there. The price in store is much higher so if you want something just print the page on their website or blag them or whatever and they'll give you internet price. They seem nice enough people who run it

So, while waiting for my GonG stem to arrive, I have become tired of the restricted airflow that comes with using the plastic-tipped stem with my bub. I remembered this old trick I used with my solo back when I got it.

Found a little piece of hosing in a drawer (I believe this was hosing I got from 7th Floor for my SSV originally) and cut a 1-2" piece of it off and slipped it over the mouth end of the all-glass Air stem. This forms a pretty good seal when you push it down into a 14mm connection, without any chance of scratching. The drag was noticeably reduced using this stem thankfully.

Also, a question to those with experience with the PV stems:

How are the shorty turbo stems? I usually pack 1/2 stems, and was considering buying a "shorty" turbo gong stem (this will be in addition to the regular PIU gong stem I'm getting). It seems like it might work better for me, since this will keep the surface area of the load closer to the heater. I'm thinking that this might be even more important with a turbo stem that has a bored out single hole with a screen that (i'm presuming) dips downwards, as opposed to the domed-up screens i've been using in my stock stems.

I heard someone say they are working on a slimmer version of the air, but that means nothing.

I have terrible luck with stems. I broke one the other day and I broke my gong just now. I was trying to flatten out a screen in the bowl and the edge broke off and went flying. http://imgur.com/FewpA2V
I know I'd buy it in a second if they announced something new. All there products have never failed me.

i can rock my all glass air stem in my air to change resistance, could be the stem

yes the glass stem really helps
what I do is since the opening on the all glass stem is big I pucker my lips so it's like I'm drawing from only one corner of the mouthpiece
by doing this you jus take in a little air while drawing from the stem, or you can adjust it how ever you like with a little practice I feel taking 10 to 20 sec draws and trying to get almost a 30%air & 70% vape mix the draws are amazing and I seem to get good clouds on green setting this way

also while using the all glass stem with this technique it's important to pull the stem about 2 - 3 mm out as this makes the draws very comfortable

when this technique is done well with some practice I feel the draw is similar to a hookah which totally takes care of the draw resistance which most users have a problem with that

on a aide note :
also I jus realised I was putting too much into my bowl so I put in a lot less like a plucked apart the herb with my fingers so it was nice n flaky and when I pressed it down a little with my finger it was like only the top quarter part of the bowl had herb

and also with above technique I feel not much herb flys into the mouth
idk if it's just me or this is actually happening so someone could comment on that

so jus a general question for everyone -
so I load my bowl and take about 10 12 draws on the green setting and then dump it into a separate box.
so I tried to smoke some of that AVB and somehow the taste wasn't as good but the clouds were nice. I smoked that when I was quite buzzed so I couldn't tell if it gave me a buzz I'll smoke it tomorrow n tell you guys

hey I wanted to tell everyone this
idk if everyone knows this if you all do then I'm sorry but I'm quite excited about this
so I smoked some hash in the vape the other day
what I did was I took a tiny bit of hash put it on a knifes tip heated it and mixed that into some herb and then put that mix into the bowl and smoked that
And woow it was like this most intense flavour extravaganza in my mouth n throat ( it was hash from kashmir and it has a perticular taste which I am a fan of ) the taste was like epic, very very smooth on the throat (smoked on green, orange, n red settings ) and you know to feel the effects of smoking this vape is a little delayed but with the hash I felt an immideate rush Very very tasty very very stoney *maybe I should put only hash in my bowl sometime ?*

Hash can melt into the heater , i would advise against putting straight hash and instead kinda put the hash between some herb and vape it that way creating a hash sandwich.

Longtime lurker between here and r/vaporents. Have an EQ and just got my Air this morning. What a great unit, can't wait to fully put it through its paces. Grateful for all the information here, all the tips/mods make a world of a difference for a first sesh and beyond.

I'm sure its been addressed before, but I'm wondering if there is a real need to stir the load itself in the Air, as I do with my EQ elbow packs? I usually stir at least once whenever raising the temp. And is it recommended to put a screen at the bottom of the oven itself, to help prevent the loose bits from making contact with the oven? Or is the consensus to not care that much and just dump it all out after?

I find without the domed baskets yes it does need a stir but with them it doesn't. Grats on a great purchase bud, I'm sure you'll have many hours of happiness together
