Herb Grinders

I almost always grind my 4 piece upside down, and the keef stays glued to the bottom. Granted, I only fully harvest a few times a year (with scoops taken out periodically), and have only given it one ISO bath in 2 years- so maybe it's 'furry' enough for everything to pretty much stay put.

yes i own the largest they have and it is ok! but i hate the tooth design and for 80 bucks i would say it has to have a better screen as this one allows all kids of booo crap through :(

Why do you hate the tooth design?

I had mistakenly thought the Titan I ordered would be smaller, my fault. I contacted Kelly's Great Products form Ebay, the seller, and asked him if he would mind doing an exchange for the 50mm. He replied back within a couple hours and said he had no problem with that whatsoever. Told me to box it up and send it back and he would refund the difference to my ppal and ship the 50mm out with free shipping again. Seems to be an excellent seller to do business with. It is a nice looking piece and I would've kept it but it was the same size as my Mendo. Looking forward to trying out the 50mm.

should of kept it and just ordered another one. you should check out kellys nug jars. essential if you use grinder.

Just letting you guys know...the original makers of the Chromium Crusher is coming out with a new and improved Crusher but in aluminum. The seller says that he still prefers the old look and feel better, but the teeth and screen are better designed in the new version. Swirl teeth will keep the herb from getting stuck in the grinding compartment. Wish they still kept the old alloy and look. http://myworld.ebay.com/dirtcheapnovelty168/

I would rather have a tooth design that grinds better and just deal with trapped plant material during cleaning. A dry toothbrush does a good job of clearing out buildup and then the same brush with ISO takes care of the rest of the cleaning. I'm not familiar with that tooth design though, so I don't know if it's worth the extra trouble or not. I just know cleaning a grinder is pretty quick and easy. I clean all of mine often enough so that buildup is never an issue.

They've already produced an aluminum CC-no longer available (for whatever reason). I've got one and much prefer it to the alloy Crusher. The original has the SC design- a lot of teeth and holes (I'm not a fan of that style). The aluminum model had much fewer teeth and holes (bigger though), and performed just as well.

Just a quick little report so far. I've still not received my Space Case Titanium 4-piece, which shipped from GratefulBuys on the 11th but must be held up, lost in the mail somehow. Calling GB to inquire had me speaking to Jay who was very helpful and confirmed that delivery confirmation wasn't showing up, nor any other info on where my grinder might be! He's sending out another one and if they both somehow show up due to delays or whatnot, he'll send me a shipping label to return the extra.

Just posting to say that it was great customer service, good prices, a good reputation on this forum and other for having authentic products (There are a lot of knockoff Space Cases around, some even try to charge you the same as a real deal!) and you actually get to speak to a real person on the phone if there are any issues. Anyone looking for a grinder or vape, Grateful Buys seems like an excellent choice - they ship from California, and even have a discount code for FC which I found on the forum here. Looking forward to the arrival of the product in the next few days.

Can you expand on that statement? The Chromium Crusher has a design that's very similar to the SC as far as teeth and holes, but it's an alloy (much heavier) and is labeled with the CC name, so I don't consider it a knockoff. Other brand name grinders are less similar, and also usually sport the brand name on the grinder. The generics I've seen don't really try to look like a SC, and they're not nearly as pricey as SC, so I'm confused by what you mean as "knockoff". A few other brand names are high priced like SC, but they're not close in design and the companies are proud of their products, so they wouldn't be considered knockoffs. Good quality grinders are plentiful these days. You really don't have to worry about getting ripped off as long as you deal with reputable vendors that sell the same grinders year after year.

alright well i own both a space case ti medium. an a mendo mulcher medium. i owned the mendo for a year now. an i just got the space case two days ago. thanks primal. um k, mendo def solid grinder. good weight heavy. could throw it at a wall probably go through it. grinds real smooth. but when i got it sum metal dust but went away. but inside kinda builds up with resin kinda bad if u don't regular clean it. nice screen its a solid grinder. on to space case. i gotta say love this color. fn amazing, like dark purple mixed with black or sum thing. but so fn smooth the grinding. its bigger than mendo holds more. i swear 2 or 3 turns. cuts herb to bits. amazing screen. i gotta say i love space case def, number one . i also had a sharp stone. terrible teeth broke sucked. if u can get spacecase get it. if not mendo wont do u wrong.

If heavy = better, the alloy Chromium Crusher would be the best on the market, hands down. High quality aluminum grinders don't need to be particularly heavy. SC is lightweight.

its bigger than mendo holds more.
Both brands have a selection of different sizes, and both also have the 'many teeth' design, meaning they're harder to load without making a mess. You have to crush before you can grind. I've found that a lot of teeth don't necessarily make for a better grind, and fewer teeth make for easier loading, which is a feature I like.

i also had a sharp stone. terrible teeth broke sucked.
Sharpstones are now made 100% CNC, from a solid piece of aluminum. The teeth don't break anymore. I would avoid their clear top and handle grinder models though-gimmick designs that aren't built to last. In fact, considering their pricing, I'd avoid the brand entirely. They seem to be trying to compete with the high priced brands by being high priced too. :/

Another 'crusher' grinder on the market- Cali Crusher. I only see it in the clear top design, so it's not worth considering if you want reliability.

chill out bro, i own both of them. i feel like ur a salesman. but, um there both medium size i was comparing them. the holes in grinder also determine type of grind. im not new to this. an purple space case is a titanium version. an crusher those cheap ebay grinders wouldnt use. not adomized metal an no nylon gasket to aviod metal on metal grinding. metal dust an metal scrappings not good. an i know those shitty ones do that. cause i owned them. space case is 1 mendo 2. both amazing grinders cant go wrong

It's amazing how expensive some herbal grinders can be. However, over my years of smoking/vaporizing herbs, I've learned the true importance of a high-quality grinder. It's imperative that your herbs are properly grinded because your efficiency is dependent upon it.

so what is the real story behind the SC Ti???

we do know its not full titanium, or else it would be even more money. is it anodized? is it an alloy blend? in order for titanium to bond to aluminum, other metals have to be added into the mix. even if its just titanium coated. now with the changing of the name from SC Ti to SC Black, i'm even more curious.

i will post up a review sometime this week on the kannistor (i am finding the lightening bolt teeth pattern isnt horrible and it puts a nice even grind on the meds, but the screen is way to big of a micron so you get lots of non trichome material in the bottom, but i fixed this but scooping the stuff out and running it though another grinder with a smaller micron screen so i get some stuff to vape and some pure stuff to smash and make nice hash with :D)

well...it's not titanium. it's just anodized aluminum to a black color. it's just the regular space case but anodized to a black color. can google it pretty much anywhere or it's detailed on any of the vape stores.

I never really thought much about grinders- until I started vaping full time. The one I use now is a 4 piece "Aerospace" that is 2 inches wide. I have had it a long time and it's getting a bit tired. I am thinking of maybe getting the small 2 piece Space Case. I can't really afford the 4 piece, and don't even think I care that much about catching kief anymore...

The 2 piece Ti SC grinders are a favorite around here. I have two, 2 piece ti SC's. one in medium and one in large. I prefer the medium one and the small would probably be fine as well.

I love mine, and wouldnt use anything else.

2 pc SC in medium is about all I use these days. I also have a medium SC 4 pc and a 4 pc SC scout.

Come on, guys, you know theres no other vape that can effectively use non ground herb! :p
the truth is you will usually need a grinder to vape.

I find that with my 2 piece, I can grind as fine or coarse as I want, whether for vaporizing in different units, or even for smoking(I know, I know...)
