Btw, im a minority here. But you dont need to maintenance your mighty much for it to work. I top my loads with a fine mesh screen, and its been 3 months I havent done any maintenance and dont feel any airflow restriction. Before topping my loads, I only changed the cu's screen. Now my heating chamber is crusted, the taste is a little influenced by it. But lazyness wins :)

Btw, do you guys think I could use steel wool to clean my cu? Can the magic eraser be strong enough? Tx for tips

How would you have kept the heating chamber in better shape? I brush mine out every time.

Steel wool would probably work, but the magic eraser works fine for me. It's surprisingly effective.

:peace:

Edit: I just realized that he spoutti was asking about the CU and I was thinking about the heating chamber. I use ISO to clean my CU, not magic eraser.

I've used steel wool, very fine, like 000 or 0000, with sparing amount of alcohol, though it can make minor roughness on the oven walls and I think that condition may make it harder to clean in the future. Same with kitchen 'scrubbie" sponges (the really rough ones). Try to avoid these abrasive methods if you can.

I have also used a paper towel moistened with alcohol, but certainly not so damp that it drips. I wad the moist towel and shove it in the oven so it makes as much contact as possible. Maybe even cycle the heat shortly, like ten or fifteen seconds, then let it sit (maybe repeat). This will at least soften the thickest stuff so it can be cleaned.

One other comment, I've come to appreciate the little orange tool that comes with the unit. It really can scrape a lot out without scratching the bowl. I give creds. to the designers, for something I under-appreciated for a while!

I've mentioned alcohol a couple of times. Some folks don't like to use it because of residue. Last thing, I try to "rinse" the bowl with a dampened q-tip. Yes, WATER. but only a tiny amount on the q-tip.

My main tools are the brush & orange tool plus q-tips (& small amt of alcohol) on a regular basis. Magic Eraser does work well (I use alcohol with that, too) but I think might take a long time if things are really crusty in there!

Many years ago I was at our local old-timey hardware store looking at products that might clean some really old bathroom tile grout. "Murph", the old timer there with all the answers, discussed multiple products with me. Finally, he looked at me and said, "You're gonna have to scrub, ya know..."

Edit: Sorry, I missed the reference to cleaning the c/u with steel wool and only described cleaning the oven interior. I have some thoughts on cleaning c/u: gonna look for my previous post on that.

...and here's that one:

Disassemble the CU and remove the blue gaskets. You can leave the little one on the mouthpiece as it has a tendency to break if you try and remove it. Next soak your disassembled cooling unit in 90% Isopropyl alcohol, but DO NOT LEAVE IT SOAKING MORE THAN 45 MINUTES. once you take it out of the ISO use some QTips to wipe it clean, then rinse it thoroughly with water. Make sure its completely dry before you put it back on the Mighty. It even tells you in the owners manual you can use ISO but don't let it soak for more that 45 minutes as it may discolor the CU and make it more brittle.

One thing I have noticed, due to being cheap is that re-using ISO too much can make cleaning a nightmare. No matter what I tried, it seemed that my CU's would always come out "sticky" but this was due to amber colour ISO. As soon as I tried new fresh 99% ISO, woah what a difference! Clean and not sticky!

Now i'm not so cheap, and chuck dirty ISO like ABV....

If you're interested (and there may be a thread here on it), others here have talked about how to save the good stuff from the ISO, rather than just chucking the ISO. Too much work for me, but others love the results!

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
The solo is wonderful and has been my portable for over two years but it can not compare to the mighty. The mighty has a much less restricted air path while at the same time denser vapor. It actually gives a denser hit then the plenty while taking less effort but gives less of them because the bowl is smaller. Here is the quick and nasty...

"Oops, batter down - dsssoooooo - boop!" :D hehehe!:lol::rofl:
Nice vid, bro. Can't wait to see a 410 full extraction.. incl. coughs *nnngggnnngh--cough-cough-cough* :D

A toothbrush makes sense to me as even fine steel wool might be to abrasive and a q tip or paper towel too soft for heavy gunk. a toothbrush and a little ISO might be the perfect middle ground approach to cleaning,
.................................................................

X2 on a toothbrush to clean the Mighty/Crafty cooling unit.
With all those little ridges cast into the inside, using a Q-tip or paper towel it is really difficult to clean thoroughly.
A toothbrush gets into all those corners/ridges.

I am using a Toothbrush with my iso. very efficient.

My bad...I forgot to mention using a toothbrush. I use a tooth brush too; scrub it gently after you remove it from the ISO, then rinse the CU thoroughly with warm water. I also use a little bit of hand soap or dawn dishwashing liquid and a toothbrush to remove anything the ISO leaves behind...leaves your CU like brand new. Save your old toothbrush when you replace it, and you'll find that they are great for cleaning nooks and crannies. I even use one for removing car wax from my car when it gets trapped in between the double pinstripes.:D

It's economical to reuse your ISO; just make sure to do a second quick scrub with some Dawn Dishwashing liquid or any bar of hand soap...it will remove that stickiness you mentioned. ;)

I find that 90% ISO works great, and its a lot cheaper than the 99%. It's also easier on plastic.

If you make or purchase a muzzmod, https://www.google.com/search?q=easy+flow+mighty+water+adapter&rlz=1T4GUEA_enUS610US610&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CCQQsARqFQoTCM_0j-_ghskCFctdFAodqtMEpg&biw=1366&bih=473#imgrc=Lvzvoe0TSkdnCM: there is virtually nothing to clean. Make sure you brush the oven out after every use, and it stays a lot cleaner. When it starts to get dirty, all you need to do is remove the screen from the oven, hold the unit upside down and wipe the oven clean with some Q-tips and ISO. CVS carry these little pointy Q-tips called "point tip applicators". They work great for getting in crevices. Just make sure that you dry the oven thoroughly with a Kleenex, then replace the screen. If you plan on reusing the old screen, give it an ISO bath and a quick rub between your fingers while you rinse it with some warm water... it removes all the built up residue.

Hey everybody,
Just checking in to announce that I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with my Mighty. I received it on Oct 27th, 2014 and it has been my daily driver since. The only issue I have experienced has been an intermittent issue with the LCD screen being to dim, but that is not enough to get me to part ways with it long enough for a tune up. I also have a Mighty with serial number 000312, which I plan to hold on to for novelty purposes,

Edit: This thing is a true powerhouse. I own an Herbalizer, and i get more vapor out of the Mighty from the same product as I do from the herbalizer. Its unbelievable.

That's big! The Herbalizer is my main vape right now and it's a vapor powerhouse. I'll receive my Mighty tomorrow and look forward to the comparison. If The Mighty is on par with the Herbalizer on vapor production and smoothness I would consider it the best of the best as far as portables are concerned....

My main portable right now is the Solo. The solo is a quality portable, but certainly is not a powerhouse when it comes to vapor production. Moreover, the Solo is very slow to full extraction. It takes me at least a 12 minute + session and maybe 18 to 20 hits to kill a solo stem. I anticipate that I'll find the Mighty to extract much quicker with much denser vapor.. I'm into huge clouds and fast extraction and I'm hoping the Mighty will deliver!!

That's exactly what the Mighty will deliver to you, I honestly feel there's no comparison performance wise between the Solo and Mighty.

Your going to be very happy. The Mighty extracts super well. You can pull hard and cash the load quickly or you can go smooth and ride out the session like the solo. The harder you pull the bigger the clouds , there is pretty much 0 airflow restriction. It is becoming my favorite vape at the moment. The only complaints i really have is its size , its not so portable compared to most but than again i just heard about the Minivap wich supposedly extracts even better than the mighty and is big also. Only problem is its $500+ , also has a long heat up time.

So I received my Mighty yesterday and had a chance to do a couple sessions. Here's my initial thoughts:

I was actually expecting something bigger as many people have described the Mightyy as overly bulky. It is larger than most portables. Similar in size to an I Phone 6 plus. The build is solid and it's easy to hold with one hand. It just feels sturdy and well built!

I found the herb bowl to be the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. Depending on grind, I'd say you could load .2g to .3g. I loaded about .2g course grind and turned the unit on. It heated up fairly quickly. I timed it at 75 seconds to heat up to 380F. I took a long steady draw and blew a huge cloud on my first draw. I took a couple more hits then turned it up to 400F to finish. About 9 or 10 hits total. I dumped the ABV and it was uniform dark brown. No need to stir! The entire session took only 5 minutes due to the thick vapor and the sheer power of the Mighty! Not only was the vapor dense and satisfying, but the vapor was very cool and smooth. In fact, it was the smoothest of any portable I've ever used. Smoother than The Solo and much smoother than Pax 2. This is very important to me as I never use water filtration and the Mighty hits like a champ dry.. Smooth, cool and dense vapor..

The unit comes with a filling tool that I feel is not really needed. I just pour it into the chamber directly from a Jaryz container. I'm very impressed with this unit and the Mighty has defiantly surpassed my expectations...No portable has the power of the Mighty and with that power comes great battery life to boot!!

Couldn't have said it any better. I religiously use my filling tool as I am a bit of a neat freak and hate when any spills on the sides plus I find it packs it down well. I fill and tamp with the clear tool twice , once while the filling tool is on and once when it's off to get it packed down nicely .

@thegoo, dude you are so right. The Mighty produces just as dense vapor as the Herbalizer. What really surprised me is that the Mighty is actually a smoother and cooler hit than the Herbalizer with that 2.5 foot whip. That's hard to believe, but it's true IMO..like I said most powerful, smoothest hitting portable I've ever used!

I'll have to experiment more with the filling tool. Maybe I'll come to like it over time. It probably does help avoid any loose herb finding its way under the heater.

I'm having a blast with this unit and am proud to join Team Mighty!

If you have a JyARz classic, you should check out the little funnel that Ratchett sells in his store. You put it in the JyARz, and it slides out to be a funnel, and slides back into the JyARZ. Check this out..simple but brilliant imho: http://delta3dstudios.com/jyarz-classic-funnel/

Thanks for the link. Yes, I do have classic Jarz. Just placed an order for the funnel along with a six Jarz organizer. That funnel looks slick!!
