short draws are possible with the alfa, yes.
After a few weeks of using the alfa, I can confirm (as JSpeed80) : mouthpiece get too hot and you have to find a replacement (mouthpiece from the arizer air for example, I also try with success the glass mouthpiece from my SSV, 510 drip tip...), loading could be tricky (I'm using glass test tubes filled with grinded material when I'm outside)...
Apart from that, it's a very pleasant experience, easy to share, easier than mflb. I don't find vapor too harsh. However, good desktop units will get you a lot more flavors.

Just got mine tonight. Have it charging now. So far I love the build quality. Oven door might be a bit annoying to lock back in place. Unit does get quite warm on Hi. Should do very nicely for a stealth portable vape. Will report back after I have I tested thoroughly:ko:

I got a flowermate mini at the same time. I used it for one day before I gave it to me sister for a bday present. I really like the mini for the price. It seems to work well with good airflow. The build quality on the Alfa is FAR superior, FM seems cheap in comparison. I think I like the stock heat settings better in the FM.

So far I don't like using the Alfa with the stock mouthpiece. It gets too hot and uncomfortable. I tried the arizer air mouthpiece over the stock tip but for me it would keep popping off. So I took it a step further.
Unscrew the plastic tip off the air mouthpiece. Take the Alfa MP and put that over the Air glass stem. It fits perfectly over the glass screw threads. Insert stem backwards into Alfa. Use on med heat get crazy smooth heavy clouds. I will try to put up some pics later. It's a little weird to use the air MP backwards but it works well for me. Gonna hunt for some better MP mods tho. Also thinking of buying a set of Alfa Mouthpieces to replace my air tips as they fit so well!

Also it's annoying to empty the chamber when using double screens. The screens fit snug so I always have to use a pokey through the top air flow to poke it out. The door design is kind of stupid as well. I wish it was a sliding door.

Overall I really like it and props to Randy at PUI as always for the insane price. He gave me a nice discount. It takes a while to learn a new vape so I will give it some time.

More testing will mp commence today!

I recently ordered 1 Goboof Alfa straight from the Goboof website and received 2, from 2 different locations - wtf is going on?

Hey guys, there's some weirdness afoot and I'm kind of suspicious and would like advice on how to proceed. I received one Goboof from Ireland, and another from Firefly (yes, the vapor company completely unrelated to Goboof, I checked the address). I can't find a mention ANYWHERE on the internet of anyone having received a Goboof from Firefly.

First of all, I don't want to act on this until I am certain that I was not charged twice, because the payment for this Goboof was one of the weirdest I've seen.

First I tried to use my debit card, and it didn't work. Then I paid using Paypal, which is connected to the same bank account as the debit, and this did go through on the Goboof website, but my Paypal account still shows a -$211 balance, even though my bank account has had $211 removed from it.

That was another weird thing - maybe it has to do with them being in another country - but my bank took forever to remove the $211, like a week almost. It showed as pending for that entire time, though it didn't reduce my "available funds" like pending items always do. It finally did pull though. It says Paypal transfer in the description of the transaction. Again, though, my paypal balance is still -$211, so...suspicious.

The main weirdness and thing that I don't understand is why I received a second one from Firefly. I did some research because I heard that the Goboof CEO was another vapor company's CEO's son. I found out that the Goboof CEO is the Iolite CEO's son, so no connection there either. Why would Firefly send me a goboof? The first Goboof I received came straight from Ireland, which is what I expected.

Thanks guys. What would you do if you were me? Should I contact support, or wait for the funds to settle, so I am sure where I stand??

On the goboof website it is very clear that I only made a single order. It doesn't give me a second tracking number, nothing, though the second package from Firefly has it's own tracking number, and my name on it. Was this just a gift from goboof/andor Firefly? haha...in my dreams right??

Doesn't Firefly outsource it's shipping to a vape distributor? If this is correct then I'd guess that there was a mistake made at Goboof where you were sent product from both their EU and North America distribution centers. Personally I'd contact them and ask if they'd like one back, but that's just my personal ethics.

Ya, that's kind of what I'm thinking. It'd be a hassle to deal with support, get them to figure out what went wrong, then package everything again, etc. Basically going through more work for something I didn't cause. I mean I feel bad about it, but it is what it is, ya know? I didn't ask for a second vape, and I sure as hell could have done without that bank drama lol (which I think had something to do with it all), no idea what went on there. If my paypal balance doesn't go positive I'll have to work it out (if I was double charged I mean, that still isn't certain for me, just gonna have to wait and see)

PPN, I'm not sure if they're exactly the same, I'll check it out, the boxes look the same

Anyway, fuck all that shit, can't wait to try it! So excited, it's tiny

yup, i've seen this before, tried it out and it doesn't work too great. few issues with this technique are that it only works with sticky wax unless you melt the shatter slightly before sticking it on the screen, the screens are essentially unusable after this, a lot of wax is not used up but it does give great vapor, and some wax ends up getting in the chamber which is hard to clean. Overall, I would just recommend sandwiching a dab in some bud rather than screens, or even some cotton.

So I've had this little guy for a bit now. I feel my favorite way to use it is with a 14mm water tool and the mouthpiece inverted. It is just to hot and harsh for me to use with the standard mp. I have gone back to the arizer air primarily for portable.

yeah I find it pretty hot to use with just the mp as well. But I think I found a fix for that, use the vape with just an inverted mp, it cools down the vapor a lot (but the vapor is still dry).

Hey guys,

My first post since joining the forum!

So I used to combust for recreation a LOT many years ago. I ended up getting a very serious chronic illness a couple of years ago so decided to quit tobacco and everything else to clean my lifestyle up. I thought it was the end of things for me but it seems that I can manage the illness and have got fitter than ever and am doing phenomenally well. I've been really good and stayed off the tobacco and have no cravings for it nowadays.

I do however really suffer from anxiety in life nowadays - which pretty much kicked in with my diagnosis. I got prescribed antidepressants for my anxiety but I hated them ..... They got me through my initial diagnosis, but they actually sucked all emotions from me - including the happy ones so I stopped them a long time back and have felt so much better.

So many times though I've thought "I know what totally would sort me .... I really could use a J now" but haven't - only because of the whole wanting to stay away from tobacco ..... Then I discovered these cool vape units !!!

So last night I jumped into the deep end and bought an Alfa. I researched as much as I could and it seemed like a good unit that wasn't crazy high in price but not a toy either.

So in the UK there's no prescription supplies although undoubtedly I would qualify if only it wasn't the case .... You can only get what is available through the normal routes along with everyone else. I'm hoping to get some herb this week however the supply chain is as you expect hit and miss. I have managed to get a little solid - If I'm honest a lot of the terms have changed since I used to smoke .... But I would have called it soap bar years back.

So I wanted to ask .... Can I use solid resin in my Alfa or does it have to be pure herb? And do I need to break it into fine pieces ?

I'm really looking forward to my new Alfa coming on Tuesday ..... It's going to be ace to have something to chill me out as an alternative to more pills from the doc but also it seems like there's a massive amount of medical research that indicates that it's of benefit to my now lifelong medical conditions too which although it wasn't the original motivation is a total plus!!!!

If what you've got is actually soap I wouldn't smoke it, I haven't seen soap in years though so maybe it's something else. Soap is literally made from all sorts of crap and doesn't really have any thc in it. Check the uk420 board for a good breakdown of soapbar and its dangers.

I'm guessing more likely what you have is a moroccon pressed keif. Can you post a pic of it? This stuff varies in quality and generally hard and green is weaker, soft and golden is stronger. Really good stuff gets darker on the outside and is maleable at room temp.

As for using the stuff, I'm gonna guess broken up and stuck between two screens would do it (don't own an alpha so maybe someone else will confirm) the only prob is you'll have to stir it at some point, heat breaks the bonds created in the pressing process but often needs a little help. After the stir though it'll be cloud city.

Good luck mate and there's plenty of options in the UK. If your seriously a medical user then there are people who are willing to help, just be careful.

Where abouts (roughly) are you. A lot of the big cities have cannabis social clubs.

Big post but your story really grabbed me.

Yeah I found this out over the weekend on my owe, two screens wasted after one dab load, decent hits but what a waste of screens.

I try and heat a drop of oil and drip it into a half packed oven. Then top with herb and pack gently. Its the bowl that keeps on giving.......

Ok guys, after about 2 months of non-use, I went to turn on my alfa today, and when I did it released a pretty strong burning plastic smell. So I figured that was because of dust, or residue, so I proceeded to do a burnoff on high, and even after 20 minutes of burning off at high, the smell was just as strong. So I contacted live support on the goboof website (im currently talking to them), and they told me that:

"The isopropyl alcohol should be between 70-85%. The plastic may be getting dissolved from the strength of the cleaner being used."

and "The use of the 99% isopropyl alcohol can effect most plastics"

I'm not sure if this is why my vape is smelling, because I don't see why the alcohol would affect the plastic after 2 months of non-use, but just in case I'd recommend you guys don't use 99% alcohol. Hopefully I can find a fix for this, or hopefully I can get warranty or something. I'll keep you guys updated, the live chat person hasn't responded for a while.

Update: I'll be receiving an email shortly for warranty information.

Sorry to hear this about your unit. What is the # on your Alfa. I had a faulty unit from the 2014 release and so did my friend, they will take care of you.

I use 70% iso
