Guy I have one question.
Can I use the stock bubbler with the glass mouthpiece, because I found it cheaply on ebay and it is sold separately from the bong adaptor.
thanks

So a few weeks in I've been enjoying the vape, but I don't use it much due to low tolerance (I go through one bowl a week; gets me to a [3]-[5] about four times, which is about as much as I can handle.

But I've been having some problems. It turns on with three clicks every time, but then it's hard to activate the heater by holding down the button to set the temp. Usually it just powers off (red light flash 3 times). Sometimes it does nothing. And after 4-5 tries, it eventually works. Anyone have any ideas?

Wait for the battery indicator to stop blinking and then press the button to start. You will see it works every time.

I've tried that, and in fact have played around with my timing. The last time I got it to work only by holding it down pretty much immediately after the three clicks.

I've experienced the button idiosyncrasies as well. After turning it on, noting the battery indicator, waiting for the battery indicator light to turn off and then holding the button to set the temp.... it doesn't always work when trying to set the temp. Just kind of sits there. It's been like this from day one for me BUT I can make it work consistently if I count 5 seconds after the battery level indicator goes off before holding down the button to set the temp.

EDIT - As a side note: I've checked the 5 minute timer and it doesn't seem to start till you set the temp so waiting a few seconds is no biggie.

I experimented again this evening and the five second trick didn't work for me. So far, while I can eventually get it to work, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to the how.

If the five second trick didn't work for me every time AND I was within the warranty period .... it would be going back from whence it came.

It's times like this that I'd be thanking my lucky stars because I bought mine from PuffItUp (PIU). PIU has the best customer service and they gave me a 1 year warranty.

The manufacturer warranty does not include defects in batteries or buttons that are subject to wear and tear. I would hope the warranty would still include the button if caught early on. I am 99% sure PIU would make this right.

Yeah, I bought it from a local guy off Craigslist. I'll text him and see how he wants to deal with it. It doesn't seem to be a button thing because a) three presses *always* turns it on and off; and b) because it's hardly been used.

It's a minor annoyance really. It should have been fixed in newer versions. But in mine it's like yours and it has been this way since I got it (brand new) To me it seems more like a software glitch than a button problem indeed.

My gut feeling was that the issue is firmware/software related because I can make mine work 100% of the time by counting 5 seconds before temp setting which implies it's not a physical button issue or it wouldn't work each time consistently.

It's a shame there isn't a way to update the firmware so we could verify.

So I got in touch with the guy who sold me the unit, and he offered a hassle-free swap with a new unit. The new unit was sealed, presumably from the factory. I got home and got the same result straight out of the box.

I've been suspecting that this issue is related to temperature, because it eventually works, and once it does, it continues to work. This time, I removed the battery and held the battery in one hand and the electronics housing part of the unit in the other. Electronics don't care about cold, but batteries do, and presumably whatever sensor is used to monitor heat temperatures does as well. Anyway, after applying hand heat for 30 seconds the unit powered up just fine.

So I'm not dealing with extreme cold temperatures here. I'm talking between 50-65 degrees. Most of the time the unit is in the unheated garage, but I live in a temperate climate. The batteries are charged in-house, and it's probably 65-degrees minimum indoors. So either way we're not talking crazy cold temps. Anybody else have this problem?

ive confirmed that it's not the battery, and I'm pretty sure that it's the cold. Blowing into the USB port for a breath or two warms it up enough to get it working. Also puts the lie to it being a sealed electronics path, as my breath goes out the mouthpiece.

Hey guys. I stumbled across a video on YouTube & not to sure what to think about it. Maybe you guys can shed some insight. Here it is.....

I have a problem with my brand new "X-MAX V2 Pro" after the first session. I always get a low power shutdown (red led blinking) but the battery is still almost full. Tested a new battery 18650 15C 2200mhA but no success.

Here is a small video that shows my problem:

Is there a solution or have anybody an idea?

Had the same issue with mine, but after a couple of months of use.
I had to return it and have it replaced, fortunately under warranty.

Read this thread and the Storm one, this is probably a firmware bug. Happened to me a few times already but it's not consistent. Try different timings with the button clicks maybe? Or unplug and replug the battery? Good luck!

But i think there is no solution. Hopefully the replacement via warranty works. The mail to the manufacturer is out ...
Thanks guys

Please forgive my virus checker interfering but once burned twice shy so I'm not looking at the video link but still want to help.....

Based on your description it sounds like it only worked once since you got it. If this is correct .... sounds like you got a lemon and it needs to be returned. I had issues AFTER getting it turned on when trying to select temp but I figured out that if I turned it on and waited for a 5 second count I could set the temp no problem. How are you charging the battery? In the unit or a separate charger?

I charge the batteries with both the internal and external charger. It make do difference. The manufacturer tells me that the PCB is the problem. I should contact my seller but he dont reply till now.

Is there a way to open / disassemble the "XMAX VAPE V2 PRO" without destroying? Want to fix this problem by myself :goon:

Have had the X-Max V2 Pro for a little over 3 months and had been primarily using it as a back-up to my Solo while charging or for a night-on-the-town for two people. For back-up and night's out it has performed beautifully. Generally using it at the green temp/392 I will get somewhere around 16 good hits (4 good highs @ 4 hits a piece) or slightly more depending on the density of the flower used. For this limited purpose one good recently charged Samsung 25R will do.

This week I had a guest for a few days and gave him the X-Max to use as a daily driver. He is not new to vaping but does not own a vape and is primarily a combustible kinda guy. The first night he was very happily surprised at how buzzed he got on just 3 to 4 hits. Over the span of several days he became proficient and didn't miss combustion at all. I mentioned to him that PIU has them for $79 and free shipping and he said that he liked the way the unit functioned but the battery life was a complete turn off since he couldn't get one battery to last an entire day. Since I never used the unit as a daily driver I never ran into battery inconveniences but looking through his eyes I see the point.

I have 3 batteries and keep 2 fully charged at all times but not being able to consistently get through a full day with just one top-of-the-line battery is a definite draw back.

This recent review is not meant to suggest the unit is a don't buy. Just wanted to report my view on the daily driver situation. So just to be clear - I recently got to purchase another unit during the holiday sales from PIU for $49 and I am glad I did!

The crafty/mighty filling aid fits and works perfect with this vape . If any one is looking for easy storage and filling, I highly recommend you try one for $5 .

Hi, I am new here and I got a X-Max V2 Pro since last Sunday (2 days ago).

I have some doubts about some questions:

#1 - I started to use it (2 days ago) but never did any Burn-off. Is it bad? I think I will do some burn-offs at high-temp now, after what I've red in the last pages. But, should I do it WITH or WITHOUT the mouthpiece? Or both ?

#2 - What is that thing you call ISO to clean it ? Which pieces should I clean ? And how ?

#3 - What are the main advantages using it with the Glass Bubble Attachment? Will be more cloudy?

#4 - Where I live also have a lot of good (sometimes) Hash. This V2 PRO is good to deal with that ?

Sorry for my newbish questions, I'm new on this things, this is my first VAP because I left smoking tobacco one month ago and now I only wanna smoke herb without it, and no combustion.

Thanks a lot for your time!

1 it's not the end of the world, you can do a burnoff now if u like it won't hurt ,yes take off mouthpiece

2 isopropyl alcohol

3 cooler more comfortable vapor at high temps

4 haven't tried it but it should do fine , break up nice , if it's full melt I would try that little metal cup they gave you in the box .
