Using the Solo and D020 tonight. With 10 varieties harvested it's so confusing....what to vape next? Such a dilemma!!

I can help you here, Doc. Put an eighth of each in separate vials, labeling each with a code letter. PM me, I'll tell you where to send them.

I'll get back to you with the top pick and first and second runner ups by code letter. Secure communications and all that......

No need to thank me, I'm sure you'd do as much for me?

Dropped my Solo on a hardwood floor from about 5 feet up. It bounced once or twice too. I just knew it wasn't going to work.....

Vaped fine, charged up fine and not one nick, scratch or dent. Even the bottom screws were left pristine.

I don't know if it's because I got lucky or because this thing is a tank. I'm leaning toward excellent build quality.

Ha my :2c: is on the quality as well!
I've got some clumsy friends
and of course nobody's infallible..
I remember what sold me on it- a story somewhere in this thread about their solo tumbling off a balcony 10~15ft onto rocks while on and loaded- and aside from a scratch or two, it was just dandy! (lucky duck with the glass too!)

I love this thing! :myday:

A lot of us have performed this informal durability test. I even did it on concrete once (that puts a dent in the finish.....). Since the general report is no damage (save a few stems?), I guess the design/quality has something to do with it. There are tougher vapes, but IMO this one's tough enough for it's job.

My Solo has survived a few falls from 3-4 feet height on my wood floors and outside on the ground. I have gotten some chipping on the bottom especially when my @Pipes stand went flying, it fell from my kitchen counter. Most of time the stems do break but not always, so have a few on hand. I wish the stems were stronger and thicker like the Enano stems. I find that the Vortex stems are stronger, they are made with thicker glass.

A lot of the portables on the market won't survive one fall.

The Solo is my gardening vaporizer - it's tough, strong and a great vaporizer to have to rely on on when medicating is needed.

Ask me about the time my friend dropped my Solo out of a moving car.

I've found one rule, that if strictly enforced, will all but eliminate that. Make sure all the guys sharing the session are inside the car. It's those passes up and down at speed that leads to accidents.

Every once in a while you'll come across a guy that just can't get it through his head when stoned that there are no guys on the roof to pass it to, in such cases insist he roll up his window until the session is over?

True @OF, I can see that, but I wasn't even going that fast. He was just trying to empty the stem and thought it was best to have everything outside the window to do that :lmao:

Second idea, make him ride on top. It might not be the ideal way to deal with this 'teachable moment' but he'll get the message I bet.......

Still keep the windows closed, of course.

Solo Down! :zombie: :rip:

After two-and-a-half years, my original M1A3 (what a tank!) is no longer taking enough charge to get to temp for a single stem. This one has not been coddled in any way, and in fact, I'd say my usage pattern is the banner child for earning glares from OF. I would suggest I've been lucky with the battery life as it is :science:

First the question - repair this one or get an Air? Realizing this question is stupid, I'm going to order an Air AND try to repair this one. :tinfoil:

I searched, and it seems it's been a long while in the thread on specifics for battery pack replacements - all I've really found have been mentions of ebay with no real review or recommendations. Curious mind(s) wonder if @CentiZen is still our go-to for battery packs? (I guess I could ask him directly, but I plan my personal revolutions in the open and he seems to not notice his wall much) :myday:

I'm so sorry for your loss, my condolences indeed.

But I'd repair the Solo, and get another Solo...lol

Having just acquired my Solo, Vapor Nation has battery packs in stock.
FC21 will get you 21% off.

Hope this helps.

Yep. That's who I'd go to if I couldn't rebuild my own.....which I can, so I don't. But I would, if I couldn't.

You can rebuild them if you're handy in general and can solder at Intermediate or better level. I posted the procedure with a few photos a while back. But you need to buy special cells with tabs welded on already (commonly used to make laptop packs and stuff like that). Centizen, OTOH, does all that for you with the best cells available for the job.

No question!!!!
Save that solo!

Noticed the VapePower packs Centizen makes weren't on planetvape anymore.
I would trust the eBay $39.99 3400mah pack. 394 sold and 99.9% positive feedback.

I plan on getting one when I find an old silver solo with the PA and wait for the battery to die - this doesn't mean I endorse them or can assure you they're safe.

@Hashtag46&2 my math could be wrong but I -believe- talking to PUFF IT UP can get you a slightly better deal than that anytime of the year...

I do need to check with PIU!!

I do feel like we should spread our business through all the FC Supporting Vendors too though.

Anyhow...
More Solo action, finally added my Hash to a stem!!!!

Whoa!!!!!!

Thick, flavor packed Vapor!!!
Kandy Kush herb... 10% against the glass screen, about a dab o' Kandy Kush+Hashplant Bubble.. Remaining 90% of herb..

Level 5 to start!!! Ended on 7, and I still had lovely flavor!?!?!
This bowl slapped me right upside the head.

I love dat damn Kush!!
I have a little nug of Cognac Kush....

Been saving it for about 2 years now, breaking it out on very rare.....

I'm so bummed, I only have about 1.5 grams left.

G'night Solo Elites!

I still cannot grasp the fact that the PA is still sold as a PA for the Solo, even though the newer models have been out for 2 years now, which the PA is useless for. I wonder if Arizer will ever release a PA for the Solo, as in their current model (for the last 2 years). There must be many returns for unsuspecting customers that thought they were buying exactly what is advertised.

This is what is written under Solo power adapter from arizer.com:

For use with the Solo to power the unit instead of using the battery

Yeah right, maybe for Solo's from 2 years ago and beyond. Odd that they don't write a note explaining this?

No way Charlie, IMO. I sure wouldn't hold my breath. To be able to use a PA you'd have to modify the Solo.

We 'demanded' "use while charging", and that's what we got instead of what they originally designed. More owners probably use that function (use while charging) than did PAs I'd think, and the cynical side of me notes they make more money this way.

Anyway, no way back at this point, you need to change hardware to make that happen.

I dunno, just one of those things that just don't make any sense.

To us and others like us perhaps, but it's also likely to be logical from another POV. Not that I'm saying what, or even if, that's what's happening here, it's just that sometimes 'obsolete' stuff has a life of it's own. There are still a HUGE number of Solos that are in service and candidates. Way more than new?

Not to fear, in the Capitalist way money 'tied up' in inventory that doesn't move shows up and reviewed/acted on. It seems a few guys have innocently ordered them from PV and had to send them back for refund which could/should have been avoided. Maybe.

When you or I are king of Arizer, we can fix it. Until then I'm not sure it's broke from the other fellow's point of view.

Regards to all who read this far......

Cognac Kush!

I love this strain.
I can't find it anywhere?

My SOLO would love some!

If you are ever in my neck of the woods, we shall SOLO some Cognac Kush!

Luckily .. I have more beans, so she is available at my disposal.

God, I love the Solo... What a wonderful device.
As I stated previously, I'm now micro-dosing throughout the day, and I am feeling SOOO much better in general.

I love that I can take low temp hits and maintain a "balance" if you will. Hanging out with my girls in the tent... Absorbing Vitamin D from the light and Cannabinoids from me Solo..
Thanks @CarolKing ... I stole your gardening idea...and I Love it!!

Or, I can turn her up and switch to my bent stem...and get the hammer!!

Solo-peeps are so damned Kewl
:leaf: :peace:

Dude, sounds like we're pretty similar, the Solo has been a recent game changer for me, and my usage has gone down due to microdosing like you say. Looking forward to Solo#2.
Dude, I was going to post the same thing...

Thank you BTW for coming to defend me regarding the Solo on that other thread.

I too am getting a second Solo!

you spoke the truth bro, and I am living proof of being one to have purchased many very expensive vapes only to regret it in the end and come back to my roots of the SOLO! Honestly, i'd prefer to have 3 total. Another black to make two black, and then one Silver! Figured there should be one for hardcore usage (even plugged in if need be), one to kind of baby the battery, and a third just for a backup!
