Arizer Solo

Well said, i received my solo yesterday and it feels great to have it. I had given away my old solo to a friend a few years ago and it was still in working condition. I thought that there were better vapes out there, that the solo was just a beginners vape. It took me a couple of years and imo a significant amount of money searching for my perfect vape..only to find myself back with a solo. Iv purchased an AIR not too long ago.. couple of months i think.. i began reading through the air thread and quickly found myself in the solo thread.. the solo began to haunt me. The effeciency, reliability, and price.. almost to good to be true..but it is true , i used to have one. So i purchased it and could not be happier, sure there are other expenses in life but its the solo.. It was the vape that got me to stop smoking, well the forum also.. so a big thanks to all for contributing their experiences..iv smoked since i was 13 and quite heavily in my late teens..when i was about 20 i caught bronchitis for the first time and it eventually turned into chronic bronchitis. I continued to smoke and well the consequences came sooner then later.. i worry at times about all the damage my lungs took over the years and im glad to have found this site.. started with a knock off mflb.. then a mflb.. and continued smoking because those vapes just didnt cut it for me.. then i found.. fc and my first solo.. it took me quite a while to become a member and post but im happy to tell of my experience with the solo.. you cant go wrong.. iv owned a pax, tv cera, solo, Air, extreme q and quite a few other vapes but i come back to the solo.. its not for everyone i guess... but i much rather have the reliability and efficiency of the solo then the asthetics of some of the newer vapes.. plus for the price of a higher end vape.. i have rhe AA and the Solo..thank you fc.. i only overcharged my solo for about 40 min.. i couldnt wait! Iv been on the verge of buying a solo for 2 months now, since I fucked combustion and bought an eq.
I love my eq so much and use it all the time, but I need an outdoor vape. Have been reading many portable threads on here and still remained undecided.

But your post has just swung it for me. I shall order I think.

Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes. Should I order the latest m1a model or the older model.?

You're welcome.

Avoid falling into the trap of looking at the serial number as a model number. It is not. They are not even serial (the maker said as much, they even have 'reused' number series in the past). There are only two models under discussion, those that allow 'use while charging' and those that don't. The last of the 'new old styles' disappeared from the market a year or more back, you have no choice at this point, it will no doubt be a new style. From a practical standpoint all perform the same and carry the same warranty (from date of purchase) by the maker.

FWIW, many serial numbers 'past' M1A have been seen. Not to worry, Solo is to enjoy not stress over. You'll have it for a long time based on the common experience, best getting to the enjoyment part straight away?

yup, what @OF said, anyway if you're buying new you can't know what the serial number are.

for what its worth I bought two new solos in the same week from the same store. one starts with M1L and the other starts with M1V... wouldnt worry too much about it ;)

just pack a fat (but not too dense) stem run it at 3 or 4 and get SOLO'D!

Get one or two brother!!!

I'm already regretting not buying 2 at the price I got it for,(The more you buy, the bigger the discount w/ 21% off your order)

You won't be sorry...
This Vape has me medicating during the day again!

Something I haven't done in almost a decade!

The flavors of my strains are substantially more pronounced with it's conduction style heater.

Even going up to level 7!.. Just remove stem in between draws.

But I'm loving level 3-5 too.

The Solo literally made my life better already... Micro- dosing throughout the day has me in better spirits in general, a smile upon my face as opposed to cringing in pain and grumpy as hell sometimes to boot.

Kandy Kush today..Tastes like gummy bears!

Edit; I'm also not using my bubble during the day which would account for me NOT falling asleep directly after my session.

This is also controlling the Tolerance monster..No Bubble until my bedtime sesh.

I've been somewhat vaked since the day I charged this bad boy...
Life is awesome with a Solo!!!!!

I have 2 Solos.
The newer Solos with improved airflow is one reason why.
I still stand by my statement made a couple of years ago:
"Hits like a joint!!"
No smoke, just strong vapor and easier draw than the original.
Still using the bent stock stem with domed screen and extra glass extension.
May order a Vortex stem someday though.

Hey all, I've been given the opportunity to sell my Solo + Accessories for a price that allows me to buy a new Air for 30 bucks. The only negative I can see from my research is a decrease in battery life to about 5 sessions or so. However I feel the option for replaceable batteries and higher capacity aftermarket battery's make this a non-issue.

So, what do you do you guys think? Am I crazy not to take this deal or might I wind up missing my solo?

Thanks in advance for your help.

i had a solo and got an air and went back to a solo, but that doesnt mean you would, or that you wouldnt want both simultaneously.

Yep, with you there. I have both and Solo is used more. I don't change batteries in the Air (although I have spares), since it's easy/natural for me to 'keep count'.

Air's battery meter is a cruel joke, the part you need to know (is the battery about to die?) is a not so useful single step for half the charge? Almost an afterthought. The lower number of steps can be worked around, but of course my favorite Solo setting doesn't happen for me on Air. If I want to go small, I have other, much smaller, vapes to call on. Air kind of 'fits in the middle' for me.

I also like older Solos with real PA mode.

All sort of subjective, personal decisions. The next fellow might be entirely different.

Finally Solo accessories fit Air, why not keep them and wait a bit on the Air? Your call, of course, and IMO pretty hard to make a bad one.......but if I'd dumped my Solo to buy that first Air I'd be regretting it I think.

@Dr. Soxhlet let me say that the SOLO is amazing!

GSC all Day Long with the SOLO!

I tried so many?

The SOLO just seemed to be the best portable for my medical needs!

I have had 3!

I have the Solo and the AA and find I use my Solo more. I think with these two vaporizers it comes down to personal preference because they are so similar. They are both amazing portables made with perfection with quality materials that holds up over time.

It's nice to have versatility with all the stems that are available.

The AIR I haven't tried however I heard very nice reviews.
I vape at home however a shatter pen with 2 x 18650 does the job if I'm out and about.
Usually the ocean!

Uhhhhh....

I think I might be Solo-Addicted!?

The unit hasn't really left my hand since I removed it from its 8 hour christening Over-Charge.

I've rocked mainly Sativa Dominant Strains, lots of one of my favorite; Sour Diesel... Holy shit!!!! I thought my Sour D, True Cherry OG, WIFI x Tahoe, Space Queen. Tasted awesome when combusted .. Omg, a plethora for the palate...

I really wish I was Vaping years ago, to think back on how many one of a kind grows/Flowers that I lit on fire :argh:... Fuck your fire!! :haw:

All those lightweight molecular Terpenes, beautiful undertones I never noticed prior to going Solo.

Until right before bedtime , that's when I break out the newly Modded DD-DBV.
Thanks again @DDave .... Still in testing, but I'm loving it so much...

I think I'm going to do a DDave load out the DBV, then get in bed, Solo in hand.. and Tune Temps, draw in and.. Drop out.

Edit; Lemon OG 18 in the Solo, and Bright Cookies in the DD-DBV Bright Cookies ( Northern lights #5 x Citrus x Girl Scout Cookies.)

So nice to have a portable that gives out such great flavor. It heats up and charges quickly and it's very convenient. I think every vaporizing household deserves 2 Solos, not so much wear and tear on the one unit if you use yours often.

I would NOT be able to sell either SOLO or AIR, lots of other things i would sell.
I do find the battery meter on the air to be useful once you can figure out the cryptic color meanings. Biggest problem is all the same multicolored led if you are colorblind its impossible to figure out unlike the SOLO.

It's been a while....I haven't caught up on this thread, just wanted to add that my Solo is STILL exceeding my expectations! I purchased the Air, and it had to go back....no comparison for me! I'm still creating ultra thick tasty clouds with my PV gong, and i've increased my loads to .05 or .1g instead of <0.05g. The Solo has proven its efficiency many times, but the bigger loads just satisfy me so much more!

Looking forward to catching up, and posting more videos! I find they are much more appreciated here than in the Air thread! lol

Back to just one solo. I gave the black one to a friend whose old EQ bit the dust...
I'm going to wait patiently to buy someone's old silver with PA functionality.

Not sure if it's the older style with PA functionality though, but I saw this in our classifieds:

I was in the same position as you and bought the solo, you wont be dissapointed with it, its a great outdor vape!

i was just browsing the cheap bullber thread, which lead me to this http://www.dhgate.com/product/popul...er-solo-kit/240108759.html#s1-9-1a|1457587477

Does anyone know if that is a copy?

If it's from DHgate , most likely It's a counterfeit .

I'd held off in posting this info when I purchased my 3rd Solo
last month , because I thought it would come off as braggish .
But my dispensary gave me this special deal , when using their
$ 50 coupon they offered me . Only one Purchase per member tho .
The discount did not reflect in the invoice , but
This depreciated price seems pretty fair to me . Maybe for Black Friday
or the upcoming holiday season ...

edit : found this old post of my wish
Ya I saw that link you posted ;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-ARIZER-SOLO-Portable-Battery-Vaporizer-2012-Choose-Color-

It does say for $ 115 , but it also has the name Thor's Thunder attached to the ad .
Plus the Silver one has a silver face plate . ( where the temp lights are )
My silver one has a black face plate , don't know if the new ones come like that .
I'm just wondering if it's a knock off , that's all .
But that is getting closer to my $ 99.99 price wish .

Has anyone heard of Thor's Thunder brand or dealt with ?
