Vaponic Herbal Vaporizer

Looks interesting! Question, I have an 18-14mm male-male adaptor. Anyone know if the mouth end of this would fit inside the 18mm male end?

Yes that would work. You preheat the Vaponic much like You would the Vapman, for longer though as it is a convection vaporizer & you're heating a larger surface area, then just hold the mouthpiece on the 18mm male gong of Youre WP to extract through water

To give an idea of size.the Vaponic is the same diameter as a solo stem So If you ve rigged a solo for water use,the Vaponic will work similarly.

It's a very rewarding Vaporizer.when You get you're technique down, which isn t hard.Different flavour than the VM I have found...cleaner maybe,no background wood or char taste from conduction.

Just don't get too retarded or You might drop it.thats the only concern.:D

If the all TI Vapcap tastes as good as the Vaponic,I will be happy.

Yea few vapcap one order so might just wait, but after playing with the vapman the last day this certainly seems to be more my style. Vapman becUse it rocks, vapcap for that dugout feel and maybe this because.... Pre heat and hit a few times like a joint? Sounds like justification enough.

I use my vaponic quite often mainly with moroccon hash or whole bud, it was one of my first vapes and at first I found it difficult to get consistent results but after owning a vapman I went back to it and now have it dialled, I agree with everything people say about good flavour and good heat retention def requires a small bit of practise to get it right.

A little tip I have found is when you have a fair amount of reclaim build up in the inner tube load a bowl and turn it upside down and GENTLY heat the inner glass so the oil runs down into the fresh bowl, very nice way of reclaiming that oil

go for it.

it could be an all day everyday Vape I guess.id be afraid I would drop it using it as my only vape.

It's definitely a good option if You are looking for a vape that offers good flavour on the cheap.

the bowl size is the same as Vapman btw. you can get the ABV to dark brown.

Quite a few retailers here in Oz stock it too.i got mine from ozbongs.

Edit @RastaVapa great oil tip.thanks.

yes, i also needed my time to get used to it. but now it's like second nature. totally agree with what @u bwade wunner said about the taste comparison between the vaponic and the vapman. it's like drinking different wines or beers, i guess. :)
i've yet to try it with hash. do you wrap it in a metal screen like they recommend?

I have tried both ways and I like each of them or sometimes I will mix flower and hash together, I never grind with it just break it up a little by hand and I can get it dark if I want ...........

The Vaponic definitely deserves more love than it gets! It's one of the most affordable vapes around, and personally I find it to have the best flavour out of all my vapes, and is my go to device for tasting out a new strain because it delivers the most pure unadulterated flavour.

It was also my first vaporiser and I didn't really get much out of it at the start. Then I moved on to mflb, then enano, and then the lotus. It was after having the lotus for a while, I decided to break out the Vaponic and use the Honest lighter that's supplied with the lotus. And ever since, the Vaponic has been in my daily rotation! It seriously has the best flavour for me, especially after a reclaim, and once you have the technique down, it provides really good hits, and gets me really medicated.

My one big tip for learning to use the Vaponic (and most other flame based vapes) is to not mess with the length of your flame- set it to a reasonable length, and don't adjust it... Ever. It's important to take as much of the variables out to learn how to heat it without overheating and torching the load in one coughing fit, or under heating it and not getting satisfying hits.

Also my main reason i came here is just to mention that the Vaponic pairs amazingly (and natively) to the fc-197 (diffusion pump) which has a male 14mm joint. The mouthpiece of the Vaponic fits into the male joint perfect, and tastes amazing. It's my favourite combo at the moment, and I'm gunna try and post a vid shortly showing it.

Peace guys, spread the Vaponic love!!

Sorry for the double post, but I should have added that the Vaponic also plays nice with the magic flight orbiter- you can either drop it straight into the female 14mm joint on top of the orbiter, although airflow isn't great this way, or the other way I use it is by taking the acrylic stem out of the end of the short orbiter whip (the one you'd usually use to connect your launchbox) and slip the end of the silicone whip over the Vaponic mouthpiece... Mmmm, perfect!

Videos soon guys (once I've cleaned my glass)
peace

i either drop it in the female joint or hold it in position for better air circulation (at least i thought :) ). in the past i experimented with a spare mflb whip adapter, with the whip cut really short, but i found it a little cumbersome. so i still didn't decide, which way is the best. :) what i found out is, that it's worth to take a last control draw without the water tool attached, when nothing visible comes through the bong anymore. but it maybe a sealing issue. so, back to the testing lab. :)

and to your previous post, you're absolutely right to love the vaponic. i guess part of the secret it's so underappreciated is due to its learning curve. as with most flame based vaporizers, i belive people just don't try hard enough to overcome the mental barrier associtated with dealing with initial draw backs. they quit, when it comes to learning the ropes. maybe expecting vaporizing to be as simple as smoking a joint. the vaponic is cheap, so at the first failure it's discarded as a bad purchase and soon to be forgotten about. i was guilty of the giving up too easy, too. somehow i changed though. :)

Yea I completely agree with everything you said @axakal . I found when I bought the Vaponic I was still combusting (including tobacco), and was it was my first go at vaporising herbs. It was all relatively new back then, and I didn't know what to expect. Without a decent lighter and technique, the Vaponic didn't even compare to smoking a spliff- it tasted nice, but just not much effect.

Having experienced some more 'plug and play' vapes and so getting familiar with what to expect from a vape high, and also from lowering my tolerance because I'm no longer combusting my way through a gram a day, the Vaponic really shines at getting me nicely stoned, with amazing flavours. For me it really was all about having a decent reliable torch flame lighter, and perhaps a bit of technique brought over from using the lotus.

The Vaponic has one of the cleanest/ purest tastes I've ever experienced, because essentially it's almost all glass. I find my technique now is to heat for say 6-8seconds, then take 2 or 3 AMAZINGLY flavourful draws without water, which won't yield much on the exhale, but it's all about Terps, and also drawing warm air through the herb to 'preheat' it, ready for the second round in the flame. I find the flavour is the best without going through water personally, although the th fc-197 does a good job at retaining flavour. another 6 seconds or so, and then rip it- either dry, or through water, it's smooth either way!!

I love this vape, I've actually got 2 now due to breakages/back ups and might even get another one just in case coz I love this vape so much. I've also bought it for a friend and an ex girlfriend, both of which I am confident are sitting at the back of their sock drawers collecting dust, because they haven't given it a decent chance to learn the subtle intricacies involved in using this vape.

As for using the whip, don't forget after you've heated the Vaponic, you can put the rubber cap to the market case on the end so that you can put the vape down hands free to you hit it- the cap is high-heat and is designed for this!

I love this vape!! Oh and by extension it also plays (really) nice with the magic flight bottle rocket too. Nice cheap vape-water tool setup right there... And on that note I'm gunna leave, because I'm starting to sound like a shill!!!

My story mirrors yours in many ways. I have a Haze V3 which is in the repair shop. At first I went back to smoking because after having had the ease of electricity, I didn't have the discipline to go back to butane torches. But smoking sucks, and I started using my vaponic again. You're right - now that I know what a good vaporizer is supposed to do, I'm much better at getting good long efficient sessions out of the vaponic. I get plenty of hits but I never combust. It's a great tool, just needs a bit of practise.

That said, it might be a bit too steep of a learning curve for those who are brand new to vaporizing and don't know exactly what to expect.

I haven't used my Vaponic in a couple of months, but fancied switching things up a little tonight. I'd forgotten just how good the vapour tastes with this little one.... so pure - absolutely delicious!

I totally agree with you @u bwade wunner, @axakal & @herbalist33 - the Vaponic most definitely deserves a whole lot more love. It really has so much going for it. It's simplicity is quite beautiful I think. Yeah, admittedly, it does look a little (lot!) like a test-tube - but I like how honest and transparent a design it is. It's not trying to complete with the tech and look of the battery powered vapes - it is what it is, and unashamedly so.

If you're after a low-priced, efficient, easy to clean, great tasting, butane vaporiser - then you can't go far wrong with this one. It's probably not the best choice for people who are always dropping things on hard surfaces(!), but it does it's job, and does it well.

True. Taste is awesome.

I decided to try vaping some herbal tea this morning for the first time, and since that is all about taste, the Vaponic is what I reached for.

Also, being glass it's completely cleanable so no concerns about the smell clinging to the device for later sessions if I didn't end up liking it.

Ok so this thread was started in 2012 and only has 8 pages, when the VapCap one started only in 2015 but it seems to be growing exponentially... Is it just due to the added audible click? Or the slightly lower price?

I completely overlooked this model previously, as I didn't want any butane powered vape. Yet I jumped on the VapCap crowdfunding bandwagon in the end... and I come back here and see a lot of similarities. So why so little love in comparison? Has anyone around got the two units?

Yes. I have both. I have not got around to posting my thoughts on the Vapcap thread yet, but will give a few thoughts.

Firstly, I think that the all glass of vaponic may be the main issue.

It makes it seem a little too crack pipe to many people. Certainly some friends have mentioned this to me.

Also very breakable (as is the VapCap, but also cheaper as you say, but also the ti woody attends to that nicely)

Finally, yes the click is a big part of it. Takes much of the guesswork out of the equation, and probably easier to do with Stealth (ie heat under the table at a bar?) whereas vaponic needs more visual cue for complete accuracy.

Vaponic taste is way better though, and has more convection and seems to hit harder/cloudier.

There is a continent factor also, Vaponic is a Europe made vape (like Vapman) and the strongest market for vape is usa/can. So distribution medias are different.

Ok with other points of comparaison.

I also have both @KeroZen, and as far as taste goes, the Vaponic is far superior... it really is.

Of course, both have different things going for them... but for me persomally, production of great tasting vapor is one of the most important characteristics I look for in a vaporiser..... and the Vaponic truly offers this in abundance.

Well, i think it has a lot do to with circunstances. The vapman for example, is one of the earliest vape in the market and only in 2015 has it received proper attention here, many many years after it has been around.

And many people shy away from breakable vaporizers and manual style vaporizers. The vapcap makes it easier to use with the click, plus it is 10USD cheaper, which means a diference in 25% in price, it is a pretty convenient unit.

The vaponic is one of the units i don't see myself selling since it can be so versatile. I pretty much only use it on the go but it gets me there everytime i use it and as pleasantly as my other vaporizers.

And i'm actualy getting a vapcap, it is smaller and the click sound makes it less attention demanding which is nice on the go. Plus, like the Vaponic i can use it not grinded which makes it one less thing to carry.
To me it is a tradeoff in taste to get a smaller and easier unit to use.

But it is very unfair to compare threads between two vaporizers that were created in completely different times, especially when it is increasingly palpable how much this comunity moves by trends.
If people are too lazy or too distracted by some bling in a vaporizer that lasts 30min of battery and don't give credit to the vaponic, or the vapman back in the day, or even the Lotus for quite some time... then it is their prerrogative, but the Vaponic certainly excels in many areas and at it's price range it is amazing what it delivers.

I don't have a Vaponic but they sure look cool! Do they have to be heated by flame or could an electric coil be used? Couldn't the Vaponic be slipped into a heat coil ?
