I don't plan to use it 10+ sessions a day every day. I just want it to be able to do that if I feel like it.
I definitely want it to be portable as well! the fact you can use it with water looks nice too.
I had a log vape but i ended up preferring my ssv with a tiny wand... idk maybe i should look back into them.

i simply consider a session to be once the load is spent.
I gave up at 10, and if I'm honest 8, 9 & 10 were not really back to back as my head wandered a little
(I have the attention span of a 5yr old at times)

I could keep going but I really don't need to as by around bowl 5 I don't think I could feel anymore effect, although it's kinda hard to tell right now :ko:

I can sort of see why you might do it as right now my whole body is high, I mean everything down to my little toes kinda hard to explain, fun but not something I could do all day everyday as I would get nothing done.

Honestly if I wanted to do this much this fast/faster I would grab Daisy or my LSV, but trusty little Vapman can do it

Not much, but I can't talk about that without breaking rules :ninja:, my last tbreak was 14 year ago (and that was just a day) but I like it, I can, so I do  thems me rules in life.

Anyway I've just realised how loooong it has taken me to write this  there are some cookies in my kitchen getting lonely so I'm gonna go and make friends.

Oh my!!! Shit after 3 bowls in the vapman I am usually sleep!!

I'm sure you will have to order station direct from vapman himself which is in Europe for sure..he only made a limited run of the stations the first time around. Mine had a malfunction and melted down.. Rene (vapman)recalled them and has been testing my unit to find why it malfunctioned and has since figured the problem..so we should be able to buy our stations back. A few people kept theirs and haven't had many issues and definitely no melt downs. But I'm ready for the new and improved to come back as I had only used mine a handful of wonderful times..

I'm still excited! Your experience with it while it worked was good though?

Now just to find out the best way to use it with my 18mm pieces and should be all set?

the middle section will fit a 14 adapter

Nugg posted this...

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapman.94/page-188#post-874468

Fits and works great all you need is a 14/18 adapter.

or for water on the go I posted this a while back...

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapman.94/page-174#post-832624

Lots of water options, not really needed but still fun.

the only requirement is that they be back to back and you don't spend more than 5 minutes between them

In that case all ten were back to back, only time between the first 7 was to fill it again, the last 3 I lost track but still not longer than 5 mins between, took around an hour start to finish with around 4/5 nice pulls from each bowl, took less time to vape than it did to type my results lol

Although everything down to your littles toes!? If .05 a bowl 5 bowls 1/4 gram or one joint.... Sounds efficent.

It's not efficient, it's magic  I swear @vapman doesnt make them, he employs Swiss fairies that sprinkle them with magic dust during assembly, I'm well past the honeymoon stage and the Vapman is still for me a special little friend, it's the only vape that I felt the need to own a spare, and not because I think it will break, I have had friends ask to buy it full price and I turned all gollem and refused, I've bonded with him now he's here to stay.

You should get good results out the box following vapmans instructions, then as you learn how to get what it is you want from it it gets better, everything from small tasty hits to finish a bowl in one cloudy hit is possible.

just beautiful :luv:
and I loved seeing those prototypes!

it's fun to see all the mods, mouthpieces and water tools too, but to me the vapman design has been pretty much perfectly refined
my only change is to pad the egg with a small paper towel square!

is anything else changing about the station besides the improved protection?

Okay!!! Welllll. 10 bowls did not happen! Got home, saw the box thought wow it's going to be smaller than I think! Unwrapped it, half the size again! Loaded up a bowl for direct draw, 5 nice hits not super cloudy but visible!
Loaded up another load... Put it in the bong, burnt it! Tried again new bowl, got three nice rips then another bowl direct draw.
Now where do I start (will post more indepth opinion after a week) but Initial thoughts, I'm beyond impressed! Using a shitty disposable blue flame, 6ish seconds and a nice draw. Using it in the bong it's easy to apply more heat for a longer draw. And God is she handsome! Wow. Looks very elegant in the end of my 12 inch beaker.
After my initial use, do I consider $120 AUD delivered a good deal?... To be honest I'd probably pay over $200 now that I have had a go.
For anyone who hasn't seen one in the flesh, it's not the heaviest hitting portable I have used (although get back to me in a week once the honeymoon is over and we get to work!) but it must be held to understand how small this thing is!

Will do a bit more load weighing, hit counting and so on through the week for y'all but I'm pretty sure I'll just be confirming what's know. Given I have a pretty decent tollerance and three bowls and I'm feeling nice! @UnshavenFish there certainly does seem to be a little magic in the efficiency!

Someone living in high elevation of the Swiss alps, brought around a small piece of alpine Juniper and I could not resist trying to make a vapman of it, even this piece of very hard wood was full of cracks and completely warped.
Worldwide there are many (70) species of Juniper, the one growing in alpine Switzerland grows very slow and doesn't get big at all, may be only 3 feet high. It is more of a shrub than a tree, therefore it is not really a wood used to make things around here. Different in Syria and Turkey, there they have Juniper growing up to heights of 140 feet. Anyway, the one I got grew at the treeline (6500 feet) and is probably very old as the growing season up there is extremely short.
Because it is Tuesday today, I thought, why not share this picture with the vapman community?

Yesterday I phoned René. The technician will make an update on the electronic circuit board expected next week.

The station will stay the same, both in look and operation. Only the technical internal life becomes a new sprinkle of magic dust. :D

Whow, that's a huge amount of filled pans! In our Gourmet-WE, we are also vaping really a lot, but not to the point, that the herbs are that much roasted, mostly. ;-)
I guess, 4 or 5 pans are the absolut maximum, if I roast it to the dark.

If somebody need so many substances, f.i. for medical use, I would recommend oral intake, f.i. in cocosnut or olive oil, butter, cookies or a selfmade tincture with de-carboxyliazed weed inside. You need less and the effect lasts for a longer time.

Had a heap of live today 6 others who all smoke baccy/weed trying it through water and dry. Few burns and a few poor draws but a few rippers and everyone understood and acknowledge the learning curve. Coming from people who sometimes use a cano they own never use the HA they own nor the Magic flight. All very impressed, loved the tiny size. The learning curve was more than I expected with the noobies.

@UnshavenFish Risking your life for the sake of science is a very brave thing to do, you are a real psychonaut.;) Back to back vaping with vapman is never a problem as vapman cools down very quickly and as long you are not over doing it with heating, vapman would also withstand a thousand times of back to back usage, especially with the station, as there is no risk of over heating. BTW, over heating does only harm your herbs and the middle section, not the whole of vapman, anyway. Thank you for the hard work!

The first series of stations will only be available through our online shop.

All the people still having their station are welcome to send in the unit to our workshop for repair, of course we will pay for the shipping. It is very important to declare the parcel as a return shipment for warranty reasons, otherwise we have to pay import taxes for our own goods!

Luckily, there is not much we have to alter in order to solve the problem, the station stays as it is and will still be called "vapman station I". The user will not notice any difference, we solved the problem without changing anything in function or design.

Is that one for sale?

Sorry, this one is not for sale, I could make three vapman out of this small piece of Juniper only and they all have cracks and other small defects. Thank you for asking!:)

@Tommy10 Being satisfied with vapman simply means, that you got the hang of vapman. In other words, vapman is only as good as the user learns to heat vapman properly. With the vapman station it is another story, there is no learning curve and everyone will achieve top results. Nice to have you among the vapman community!:)

Cheers! While they wernt getting the best hits they could see what it was like once you ring it in via my demo... Was told to bring it next time! Many full time combusters satisfied. Also vaping not being popular here many had only experienced the most popular battery models... Cano, MFLB pax and so on. Everyone was in awe of the vapmans size and elegance, as I still am!
Padded egg and 14-18mm tapered main body bit so it's water adaptable even without the stem. Goes into a 14mm current but not the nicest fit. I may look into shaping it myself but I'm horrid with wood work!

Hi folks!!

My love affair with Vapman is now over two years old and there have been a number of interesting developments since, which I think are worth sharing. So here goes!

I discovered Vapman via this thread as part of my intensive (read: obsessive) research into the best portable vape and by the time I had read your excellent reviews and comments, I was highly confident that I would not be disappointed with my purchase.

My walnut mica arrived in May 2013 and I was completely blown away by its effectiveness, design and beauty, thoughts which I raptly expressed in a post at the time which reads more like a teenage love letter than a review.

I loved this thing so much that I was puzzled nobody who saw me using it here in Barcelona had ever heard of it, so I wrote to René to offer my help in spreading the word about Vapman in Spain.

So, a year after my initial email I finally got to meet René here in Barcelona last weekend!! This was not your average business visit, either: for 3 days we vaped away and philosophised together, jammed like crazy on piano and guitar (Did you know? René is a beast of a delta-blues guitar player!) and ate fried fish with our hands in the local bars, during which time I was able to learn a whole lot of amazing things about Vapman's development and design. Picture René chilling out on the terrace, making super-precise explanatory hand drawings of tiny details such as the intricate flanged joining of the tubes with the pan, etc. It was a true privilege to learn first-hand from the master himself.

René brought me the first ever heating station with the final modifications (lucky me!!) and some really beautiful vapes including m0j0's gorgeous custom tattooed models and the first basic yew-tree series (lovely grain on these), not to mention the crown-jewel: an all-ebony Vapman!

I have been testing the heating station since René left and I can happily report that, apart from being tiny and ultra-sexy, it performs exceedingly well, as we had all come to expect from René's proven design and engineering genius. I have tried all the temperature settings with both herbs and solids and it effortlessly and consistently delivers smooth vapour with NO hassle whatsoever. I mean, achieving great results with Vapman and a torch lighter is simple enough, but the station is like having a highly-skilled vaping accomplice sitting next to you and delivering perfect hits every time, letting you know with a friendly green light that you're good to go. And the design is simply beautiful: deep blue solid matte aluminium and polished and oiled pear-tree wood? Hell-yes!!!

My flatmate and I tested it in a simultaneous two- and three-vape operation and absolutely loved it. The timing is just right as heating cycles are so short. We took turns inhaling and heating our vapes and tried hard to find any fault with the unit to no avail. Vapman is now more social than ever! You can now sit around the heating station with friends and enjoy different herbs and solids, each with their own vape, and at their own pace. What more could you ask for?

René explained that once the green light comes on, the heating station will start to cool down, but will still remain hotter than the vapman, which means that the herb will continue heating for a short while until it meets the station's decreasing temperature curve. To test this, we left a loaded vapman on the station for increasing periods of time up to the point where it switches itself off. Leaving it on there for up to 20 seconds past the "ready" point simply meant the herb was slightly more "cooked", leading to denser clouds (never a bad thing in my books!). The worst thing which can happen - say, if you fall asleep or forget all about it and the station eventually turns itself off - is your herb will be completely spent (deep brown, but not burnt), we concluded the device is very safe indeed.

With the heating station making it the first ever hybrid vaporizer in the world, I am convinced Vapman is set to become Barcelona's (and the world's) favourite vape...

Thanks to René for his visit and to all on this forum for making it happen!

All the best,

Finn

Wow @vapman!
Everytime I'm in the outback/bush I'm always on the look out for a special piece of wood to send to you. Problem is I don't know what I'm looking for lol.

How do you think a burl would go?

@Nugg Any wood which is dense enough to hold the three screws of the crucible should go. I think you have over seen the most obvious, what about the good old gum tree, this is a very solid wood and it's reddish color would probably make a nice Aussi vapman, may be with the southern cross engraved on the side? I just rang my wood supplier and asked about wood of the eucalyptus tree but he hasn't got any, I have to look for it somewhere else.

@Fungalicious You don't only speak five languages, you are also a damn good musician and you write excellent posts, it is pure luck for vapman to have such an ambassador in Barcelona! Thank you Finn and lets hope things will develop nicely for you and vapman, you really deserve it!

I do a bit of hunting and spend a bit of time in the bush! Might have to keep eye out for some good timber. Nice beech myrtl, Blackbutt is used for structural timber and would look phenomenal, iron bark would also look good! Out west more towards the desert country there is a tree/shrub type thing called mallee. Barron sort of tree, but I once saw a man who made awesome furniture out of the naturally knotted timber. There is also a man about an hour from here, well into his 80's and has a collection of Slabs of hardwood well over 2 hectares (not side by side obviously)! One might have to find a few nice bits before his age gets on!

Other side of the country to me, but here is a timber I always loved https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_marginata

Thanks a lot for this wonderful post! I should now really jam once with René!

I know exactly what you mean! We are a bunch of some vapman-gourmets, meeting us all 2 or 3 month for our vape-in. And the station do the job very well. We started to say sheers with our vapmans like with a good glass of vine.;) It's a real connoisseurs culture we have together, tasting our herbs. The vapman is the ideal device for this kind of pleasure.

Sandwiched between 2 concentrate screens?
I use only one screen and it works fine too. I guess, you can vape however you like it. ;)

@vapman, when do you think the Stations will be back for ordering on your site?
René mentioned the station is avilable in December again:
We are in the testing phase and therefore I can only say, that the vapman station should be happening soon! So far, things are looking good and if nothing unexpected happens, the station should be in our shop by the end of this month or beginning of December.

Thanks guys :) I'm heading to relatives for Thanksgiving, I always find the Vapman is great to take out of town, specifically with people who won't be cool with me medicating in the house. didn't disappoint last time!

But I had tree last time, and this time I have BHO, which I'd prefer as it has less mass to THC lol and I'm trying to pack light.

Is Vapornation legit? Or do you guy's recommend screens from another source? I got my Vapman through TorontoVapes and had a pretty horrible experience (never got a working lighter), so I refuse to go through them, but I'm happy to support an FC vendor or just going through Vapornation
