I usually pulse my Tornado with a VV battery so I have my tech down pretty well on that to get taste and good clouds. With the Kiss we were holding down for full cycles and not getting big clouds at all. Taste was there but the power was lacking A LOT. I only tried his on 2 occasions, both on fresh charges and wasn't satisfied. He put it up and hasn't used it in a few months himself. I need to go over there an tinker with it. I was going to put my VV battery on his 3.7 Kiss cart to see if it was a power issue from his omicron but I didn't have a 510/ego adapter for it.
If it's a omicron lite I'm dealing with the same thing. Kiss gen 3 just delivers whispy hits even when riding the button. It's a $50 paper weight probably even more $$ considering the material I ran through it barely gave me a buzz..

@mrbonsai420 please let me know which vaporizer he is using, Omicron Lite or Omicron, in fact if you want to give me a call when you are over there I would be happy to give you some live phone support.

If it's an Omicron please check the batteries. I occasionally get phone calls from customers with older Omicron trying to use them with 3+ year old batteries and all that's needed to restore power is a new battery. Feel free to contact me directly so I can help with your Omicron one-on-one and keep the Persei thread pertinent :)[/QUOTE]

I just asked and it's the regular Omicron and he got the battery from W9. It's a new Red 14650 in the unit. Next time I'm over I'll ask him to pull it out and we will give it another look but the battery was a day old on a fresh charge when we first tested it. Hell, he only bought 1 3.7v Kiss Cart and it could have been a bad one? I really don't know. If I got one I think I would go with the Persei anyway just because I have 18650 battery's already laying around.

I've been using the single coil kiss gen 3 on the minicron lite at hockey games pretty successfully lately. I hold down the button for 3 seconds at a time 5-10 times pausing for a bit in between. First run might be light but the second one get's me much better clouds. I overload it a lot though so I can use it a couple of times without reloading. It's replaced the kiss mini for me.

After work vape session yesterday, showing the Alpha Centauri dual coil and the Nibbler AC on a Minicron!

@masaki the Minicron lite should be capable of the exact same performance as it outputs the same power, and the KISS Gen 3 uses the same coils as the Alpha Centauri. If you aren't getting good vapor production, check how much you're loading, and your draw technique. Slow and steady wins the race to good vapor :)

Not a user error. My AC coils worked great.

I really like these videos, showing dab size and how to operate. You guys should do more with all your different cartridges (it seems there is confusion for new users or those looking to get into w9). I think it will help everyone understand the different carts and how they should be used.

I'd LOVE to see pics of a freshly loaded Herc SR-74x. People talk about putting 0.5g in it, and I just don't see how that much goes in without absolutely flooding it. When my coil is dryish looking and visible (but primed), I might put 0.1 to 0.2g max in it, and that leaves a covering of oil over the Ti pad.

I'm having no issues with that amount, and get pleasant performance. I've just always considered picking up a SR-71 to have access to two Ti pads at once and loading more.

So not sure if I'm operating it incorrectly, or if it's just an example of saying you can put .1-.3g in a Kiss Mini or Gen3. Yes, you can put that much in, but you're going to waste a decent amount due to splatter/leakage/etc.

Definitely keep up the videos, Sam. Very nice help to everyone!

That's been my experience. You can load quite a bit and sometimes it's convenient to do so but there's always a trade off either in waste or flavor degradation.

Haven't used my Persei in over a year and busted it out last night. I charged the 18650 battery, not sure if it's 1600mAH or 2200mAH and loaded the Kiss Ti Gr2 3.7v cartridge. When I press on the button it just flashes blue. I unplug the cartridge and the blue light stays lit when I press on it, so I'm assuming the cartridge somehow went bad. I've very much a noob when it comes to vaporizer pens, so I am confused as to what I should order now. I see the Gr2 Kiss cartridges are out of stock; is there another option for me? Sorry to ask something so basic, I'm just really overwhelmed by these vapes.

Thanks for any and all assistance!

Try slowly screwing the cart back on as you are depressing the button, you may have had the cartridge too tight!? It happens sometimes to me also.

Thanks for the reply XeroRespect. I played around with it for quite a while and nothing would work. Unfortunately when attempting to salvage the shatter from the cartridge it broke. So now I need to determine what cartridge I should purchase now.

File a ticket with W9 and talk to @SamuraiSam. I wouldn't purchase anything new till you've debugged with Sam.

Thanks for the kind words @elmoe420, @Roth , and @mixchu69 I'm going to try to make at least one video a week for a while :) and coming up next week I'll make some Hercules videos.

@AgentofChaos Whichever is easier for you, open a ticket or give me a phone call, either way click the link for our contact information, I bet I could help ya out in just a few minutes on the phone but I understand not everyone can easily call during business hours, that's why we have the ticket system too :)

Anyone know if the Hercules SR74 on oilvaporizers.com is 510 threaded? @THC SCIENTIFIC

Edit: I see it 601. Nevermind. I was hoping to use an I stick without an adapter.

Any chance of getting a 510 bottom adapter?

I'm still having problem with one of my AW 18350 cells. One of my batteries is discharging much faster than the others. I just put it on the charger and it is at a 2.94 while the other is at 3.53. Is this just an inconvenience or is it a defective dangerous battery?

Thank you very much, however like my post said, I broke my cartridge and threw it out. So now I am only looking for assistance purchasing a new one. Thanks!

The Hercules is available in 601 threading only. It's never been offered in 510, so it can't be used on any 510 threaded device without an adapter.

There could be a problem with that battery, it should not be used in series to run the Hercules if it doesn't charge and discharge evenly.

There's a lot more to cartridge selection than we should go over in this thread, especially if you've had your Persei and batteries sitting idle for over a year, we should test out the batteries. I'd love to help, please open a ticket or give me a phone call.

Received my much anticipated sr74x this afternoon, and after two phone calls to w9 to help guide me through some initial steps and an hour or so of getting to know the device, I am now very pleased to say I am swimming in vapor! great customer service and top quality product at w9 are currently making me very happy :)
I'm glad we got you up and running :) Enjoy the Hercules!

We started our Winter cleaning of our warehouse and we have lots of things that needs to go out.

Since we wont be charging for them what this means anyone placing an order for $25 or more will get free stuff from our warehouse

I dont know what it will be but it will be most likely something that works with your device.

If the free gift does not work or is defective we will not replacing them.

What Some people might get free are vaporizers (old out of date), cartridges, jars, chargers, batteries or anything we feel like throwing in there.

Any plans to make an adapter for the herc to fit 510? Something made for the herc so it sits flush? The adapter I have works, but makes the herc look cheap.

No plans for a 510 Herc as we will introduce our own temp control units specifically made for the Hercules.

The Universe cartridge was something we put out about 3 years ago as a prototype that used cyclone technology along with a ceramic bowl as a heater.

It was ahead of its time but times have changed now as its now a design many are duplicating.

Trying to decide between the polished and brushed 8, but I haven't been able to find a picture of the polished version.
