@thekarmawhore. That looks great. Myself I feel the glass needs to be flush as it offers a bit of protection and is more pleasing to the eye. My eye anyway. The size difference is neglible and I am sure it will still look nice and be palmable and discreet enough.

@grokit I posted about glass somewhere. There are a lot more choices than you would think. Even multi color is available.

I quite like the slightly protruding glass lip myself, but I understand the concerns of those who feel the need to drop it :evil:

I'm in the camp which would like the option of a GONG as part of the package BTW (not that it would be difficult to source elsewhere though)

Ohhh this gets better by the minute! A nice selection of stock stem length would be cool? Shorter stealth ones to sit a little more flush for on the go and some cool long ones for direct draw at home. I assume being unregulated means materials like nylon and such are out due to the temps it can reach? A steel and wood stem would make this bad boy pretty rugged, not that it isn't already pretty bad ass!

It was made clear from the beginning that this was a pre-order for a device that is on hold for any production until the Zion is released in full production. Only after that happens will the "concert vape" become a focus. And believe me, I am as anxious as anyone to get this baby in my hands. But its time has not yet come.

Glad there are refunds available! If the zion is made avaliable for international shipping before the single bat beta release I might have to shamefully get a refund and change orders.

I know this is monumentally premature as the Zion isn't even 'out the door' yet, never mind the single batt', but I've been looking for containers to store a stem while on the move.
The Ti one appeals, but is far too expensive for me.
The wooden one is probably my next favourite one (nice and cheap too!), but I'm uncertain whether the stem would fit.

Can anyone here provide the dimensions of the stems available from RBT?

The large wooden one is only 3and 3/8" long so it may not be big enough for the long stem. I am sure @Bongologist would be able to knock something up I know he is always open to new ideas.

Any idea of the actual dimensions of the stems?

I'm guessing that the widest part of the stem will be the 18.8mm of the joint, but what are the lengths?

The wooden tube claims to have a 19mm I.D. which should hopefully be a snug fit, but would a medium stem be short enough to fit?

@Copacetic the diagram I can see shows the overall height of the Zion at 4.8" and the RBT site says the medium stem is the longest that will fit in the Zion body with cap on. So I would have thought the medium may fit the 3 and 3/8" wooden case. I think it's worth putting the question in RBT's FAQ's. That way other folk as well as yourself will know for certain.

Thanks phattpiggie, I think I'll take a chance on the wooden one, it's cheap enough that it won't be a disaster if it doesn't fit.

It'll be ages till I find out, but the drawn out excitement of the wait is half the fun of being on the bleeding edge eh?

Mockup is an 18mm GonG & a pollen press cap resting atop a Kanger KBox VW mod w/ a single 18650

Maybe something like the Boom atty? TIA!!!

The thread name was always intended to be a placeholder until a suitable name was decided on.

It's really just a description at this point, not a name.
18mm unregulated single 18650 doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

I wonder if the new developments/advances/problem solving that's being applied to the Zion could mean that the 14mm heater is viable again?

Not that I'm against 18mm you understand.

My own intention for the 'Single Batt' are for use as a battery powered log vape (on glass), and outside/stealth use is very much a secondary concern.
I just love the idea of a compact, wireless log, I don't care how often I'll have to replace the battery, as I'll be at home anyway.

When RBT's store opens again I may well find the Dual Battery Powerhouse irresistible too :popcorn:
