I just weighed out .25g of fluffy ground herb, and found it completely filled Daisy's bowl, well above the "fill to this line" line, about 5x the amount Tommy shows in this instructional video:

I didn't try hitting it with the 0.25g load, because I can't imagine vaping that much per session, let alone per hit.

I personally get best Daisy results one-hitting very small "pinch" loads of 0.05g or less. Then I swap it out for a new load with clean flavor. One or two of those, and I'm good to go. YMMV.
Nice one @puddleglum. Without conducting tests myself I actually think this is probably very true.

If that much material truly is ridiculously over filling the bowl, then I will concede that I do not use my Daisy in quite that manner.

However, I have been enjoying a finer grind just lately and I've bought a new torch with a thinner, more concentrated flame which has been gobbling up the goodies with even more ease than before. So all I will say is that however much it is, it sure feels like at least a Q of G 2 me :ko:

I'm pleased that maybe it's not though.

I've found using SS bottle brushes and something to scrape with works best for me. I for one don't use solvents on wooden vape parts very often, never if possible. Read of people using high proof drinking alcohol like 151 rum or everclear but that's not for me(recovered/recovering alcoholic).

Scrapping takes a bit more time but I've had decent results, couldn't believe all the build-up that was under the glass mouthpiece, the section under the bowl came pretty clean with just the brushes and stiff pipe cleaners, the bottom of the mouthpiece section took the most scrapping.

I only deep cleaned one time 6-8 months into use, brushing out with the wire brushes after a day or two of heavy use has kept the build up and odor down since.

I'm actually looking to cache that .25 in 1 single hit. Not 3

Is the daisy actually capable of that type of power? For around $125 that seems too good to be true considering these top tier plug ins are around $500
If .25 fits in the bowl, you have the lung capacity, and your torch technique down, I think it could be done no problem. I finish most loads in 2-3 hits maybe 4 if I have a bad torch run, dark brown abv always!

Does anyone have a working link to the manual? I've had the Daisy for few days and not getting the results I was expecting. Tried multiple torches and herb so I'm not sure what's up.

There are really two major keys to controlling Daisy from my experience:

1. Flame size, positioning and movement to activate whistle indicating proper turbulence of heated air flow
2. Carb control -- opening and closing the carb hole to meter the volume and density of the vapor.

Takes a little practice but once you find the sweet spot it gets a lot easier.

.25 of weed (the light green stuff is Critical Kush, the darker is Jack-Flash)

Clean screen

Large aggressive flame

Long 12+ second draw (a new record gor me) :)

No carb tapping, pure flame control and solid drawing

It was a huge hit, and .25 is more than I usually put in but it didn't come up as large as I thought. Maybe because I use a cvault.

Also I could have got another hit out of it but it was done enough to make the grade in my AVB tub.

I didn't film it but if I had you would have heard this track playing in the background.

Do you want me to try a .5?

Hey @ntaylor hope you go for a Daisy, it's such a joy.

Did I read correctly in another post that you are in your 80s?

Hoping that Triihouse gets re-established on the coast soon. I haven't been able to find a Daisy available from any online suppliers. Any ideas anybody?

Just barely .... 81 next month .... took my first toke from a doobie in 1953 ... in a brown paper bag while sitting on a barracks front lawn.

I'm sure Triihouse will rise like a Phoenix after they relocate, but just in case, I am SO THANKFUL that I own a Daisy and a Lily, I can't imagine them not in my lineup. But I want more Triihouse innovations and I know that Tommy had several things in the works, so here's hoping we see them back and soon.

My Mind Is Free
Initial Impression:

So I have been using my dab torch while I wait for whatever was supposed to come with the Daisy. This worked the very first time I tried it, 0 learning curve for me. I am very used to a carb pipe from combusting, so this is very similar in concept, which is basically exactly what I was looking for in a new vape.
I sometimes have a touch of an issue keeping my dab torch flame low enough though, and it is certainly not as fun I am guessing as being able to just do it lighter style.... at least, that would feel more natural to me anyways.

So I packed the chamber a bit full the first couple times getting adjusted (more than just barely covering the screen, as I do now) The first time, wasn't really sure what to expect other than to try and listen for a whistling sound while I held the torch over the opening. Took what I thought to be a normal but long deep rip.... Plumes and plumes of vapor, like I had just taken a hot dab hit straight to my dome, but this isn't a dab.... its just a bit of weed...

So after that little bit of coughing, I began adjusting how full I packed/how long and full I would take a rip. I found that I prefer the shorter intake stem provided just a bit more than the longer. Easier to cash a very small pinch in one huge flavorful hit.

Material wise, I have just been flying through nugs... mostly from having fun learning this device however. It's not that it can't be very efficient, as people have mentioned, but it is just so enjoyable to keep ripping load after load chasing that full-bodied flavorful hit. I'm 100% certain that I will find a reasonable plateau with consumption pretty soon, and I am not one who is terribly concerned about efficiency anyways, so not all that worried.

I also really find the whole experience to be a bit similar to a dab hit. Maybe that is just me though, I don't have a huge amount of experience off a rig, and do most of my concentrate with a nectar collector. I also have to use my dab torch at the moment to use this device, so maybe that is contributing to that thought....But... from that perspective, so far anyways, I consider the Daisy similar in style/signature of the high. This is just my VERY limited experience though, might change my mind over time.

This is my first "portable" herbal vape, I only have the HerbalAire besides this. I have to say, I like both styles of vaping immensely, and it is very nice to have two different devices depending on whether I want to chill with a bowl and savor that flavor for half an hour and fifty smaller tokes, or if I want to divide that .2g I would put into an HA crucible into 3-4 daisy loads and just rip my face off within a couple minutes. The choice is now mine!

One last thing. I bought the WPA that is supposed to work with the Daisy/Lily. This may or may not have already been addressed, but how the heck does it fit into the Daisy? Here is the size difference:

nUgqrXk.jpg

Not sure where it fits into the Daisy.

P.S. - Forgot to mention... Yes, I am completely in love right now, and her name is Daisy...

That WPA is for the lily. The Daisy doesn't have a WPA that triihouse sells yet, but there are members who made their own DIY tool

Dang, I guess no water usage with Daisy then, although that shouldn't be much of an issue as it is cooler vapor than expected, despite expecting cooler vapor. Puffitup really needs to fix that description of the WPA on his site. Randy refunded me for it though (hats off again!) so if I ever get a Lily, I am all set for plug in to water pieces!

Just so Dab HAppy!
@seaofgreens A hydrotube can often be used with a Daisy. I used to use one often and posted about it in this thread back in June or July. The Daisy just works so well as it is, that after about two weeks I lost interest in using it with the Hydrotube. I just rip it dry everytime.

You should really try a dab on top of some flowers. I don't have a rig myself so I find it the best way to consume my wax concentrate. I put a good size dab too and I don't stir for 2 or 3 hits otherwise the flowers will be too sticky and will stick too your tweezers when stirring. I also tend to use a wood stirring stick over the tweezers when using wax.

Have fun...your about to find a new level of vaping that you have never realized you could reach!

I did this last night 'cause I'm out of herb at the moment but bummed a little wax off someone, for the last hits I clipped the tip off of the toothpick I was using as my dab tool and vaped the wax off of it too.
(I was actually using Lily and she was a wax beast)

I love using my buddy's Daisy through water, he has a prototype whip from Tommy and we use it to connect to all of my bubblers. Crazy milk and oh so smooth, not that dry isn't!

Now that I got an Evo, we tried the hydratree on Daisy, but his 14-18mm adapter is just a bit to short making it a tricky seal. The 14mm goes into the tiny hole, but the 18 just sits a cm or two too low, it worked bu had to keep the tube sealed against the wood. With a longer adapter it'd be truly incredible... Some day

Will post pics when I get my replacement Hydratree and am back at my friends wtih Daisy. Thanks to Lily's wpa and a 14-18 reducer I plan to try it with the tube too since it fit great, should make a great pair!

Prototype whip....nice. I'm not a whip person but I love hearing about new Triihouse gadgets.

Combusted (yuck that taste) in my Daisy then realized the screen was clogged, airflow was very restricted, which made combustion very easy to achieve. So I decided to give her a deep clean with the 151 rum (I actually like the rum taste that lasts a bowl or so after, I don't really drink, so this bottle will last me forever). There is nothing like a clean Daisy, the vapor quality is really nice and flavorful and the open airflow makes me not want to ever use any other vape that has the least bit of restriction as part of its design.

For the first time, I saved the reclaim from the metal transfer tube, a huge glob came out on my rum soaked qtip, so I dried that out and put it in my Infinity bowl - it gave tons of big clouds and I think there's still more in there, I had to stop. It was a very dark maple syrupy glob. Surprisingly, I found it tasted very similar to sublimate, perhaps there is something about metal surface condensate that isolates this flavor profile? Could also be the rum? I will not bypass this reclaim in future cleanings. Yet another reason to love Daisy.

Best wishes to Triihouse for a return to the scene once they've settled in somewhere.

As time with the Daisy passes, I find that I am just now starting to truly master her. Yes, it is easy to get Vapor in huge quantities the first time, but it really does take a period of adjustment to get to appreciate the more subtle ways you can manipulate roasting the load. It is so akin to combusting imo, by far the closest substitute I have been able to arrive at anyways. I spent so many years flicking a bic over a tiny bubbler, or a spoon pipe, and this device really sort of mimics that whole process, even down to the ritual of loading/unloading a small pipe. I think also it is that lack of lag time which really creates that illusion of a combustion experience, but with vapor.

So damn impressive.

I have also tried it with 6 or 7 other people so far. I demonstrated its use before passing it, but nobody was able to get the same initial success I had the first time, so I am guessing that the learning curve is not the same for everyone. Also really didn't get anyone to say, wow, I'm going to stop smoking now that I tried it. Too much stigma with a torch I feel, which is a shame, because now that I have tried torch vapes... wow, what can I say... they are awesome! I want them all, like pokemon! hehe.

Anyways, just wanted to stop by and share some updated experiences I have had with Daisy. Experimentation shall continue!

My little story with Daisy aka "why I will keep the wood mouthpiece" :

A few weeks ago, Daisy was standing on my dining table and fell on the ground. My heart almost break because I knew the glass pieces wouldn't make it after such a fall. Hopefully, Daisy fell on his side and the wood around the mouthpiece avoid any damage. One more useful skill of Daisy. I highly recommand it more!
