next generation e-nails?

Darid at domeless.com will wire up a flat coil however you'd like for $50. You just have to leave a comment when ordering. D-nail pinout: pins 1 and 2 are ac, pin 3 is tc +, pin 4 is tc - and pin 5 is ground. His coil and the high five vapes coil are performing on par with my d nail coil so far but the high five vapes coils aren't compatible with the d nail and similar pin layout units.

Any issues with the Auber heaters? I have been enjoying the RDK-300 for a couple months now, no issues. It looks like the Dnail heater sells at a premium to the Auber.?

mine has been running 6-8 hours a day since I got it back in august - and I usually clean my sic (often) by cranking that bad boy up - so no issues here yet - just wanted to maybe pick up a different style to have options and a back up for my flat

dnail one is expensive but i think they make a nice extended life extra duty one with a great warranty

My E nail is from Matt at Ineedhemp.com, I believe the PID is an auber(it functions identical). I have my original 20mm coil from Matt, a flat coil from hyman quartz(DH gate seller) and have heard that the d-nail, terpz nail, and most other coils are compatible with my(and probably yours too!) controller. As always, I would double check the exact wire placement, as I hear you can destroy your controller if the coil is not wired correctly. Also, pay attention to the wattage of the coil you want to purchase, it should be very close to the one you are using, or you will have to change your PID values. I couldn't get confirmation on wiring, so I took a chance for $30 from China and all was good.... I mean GREAT! My new flat coil is a beast under my SiC Halo, I'm loving this set up........ having trouble leaving the house, time to get that Auber 12V unit, does anyone know if those coils are different?

Yeah they're 70 watt.

right on thanks for the reply and the list of potential options

ah yes thanks for reminding me about the pid values - I bought mine after auberins starting updating for the flat coils so I didnt have to change those values as some of you early adopters did - forgot all about that

I got the terpz with 20mm coil (came with it). Now interested in the sic, would you recommend d-nail flat coil over others?

Well, it works... Im sure there are plenty of other good places to get them.

One thing I would recommend tho is get a coil with a 10mm hole in the middle.

Finally found a use for the 150w inverter that I've had sitting around
1058s9i.jpg

We were doing dabs in the parking lot of A Basin today while snowboarding. The mflb orbiter was super convenient too. Didn't have to worry about breaking a rig with it in the cup holder. It's kind of a trip dabbing on a rig on the other end of a whip when your used to the nail being right it front of your face

I've been thinking about this for awhile and am currently building a similiar set-up, specifically for ski lot dabbing!
(and for car use in general)

I've got an Auber RDK-150 already and a SiC dish.
Once I started using the SiC dish everything else seems kind of meh.

For glass I've got it narrowed down to:

Puck style, modular:
http://www.pulseglass.com/wp-content/uploads/OIL-CAN-FRONT-683x1024.jpg

or travel recycler: https://instagram.com/p/9EAIJ5rqk0/?taken-by=liquidglassarts

Neither is cheap.
+ for the puck is it's small, everything would fit nicely in a Pelican case, and one could use a whip (a bit more covert).
+ for the recycler is if I pick up a TN-01 I can dab in the woods, or on the lift!

Thoughts?

PS @MileHighLife How was the WROD?
I blew my ACL last season and am about six months post-op.
Had my last follow-up appointment with my orthopaedic surgeon and got the final seal of approval to go get sum!

It was icy and there was a lot of people in the way since there's only the 1 run open on the entire Epic Pass but it was nice to get out there. They had a little rail park set up that was pretty fun.

Another option for dabbing in the woods would be this. I've had 2 of the smaller versions of that battery pack for my Underdog vapes for a couple years now and they're legit. The 4 battery model will run my Underdog for 6 hours @ right around 10 watts using ncr18650b batteries and 70w is peak consumption for the 12v units so I'd guesstimate (someone correct me if I'm way off here) that that 12v units run at about 40 - 50w continuous. This would mean using 8 of the ncr18650b batteries in the battery pack I linked to would give the user around 2 - 3 hours of continuous dabbing time on that battery pack.

I think I'll actually be ordering one soon myself. I'm going to build a cheap 12v system. I've been in contact with a guy from alibaba today about get a lot of 5 12v 70w flat coils with plugs for $15 a piece and he's in :brow: we're just sorting the sizes now. I messaged him saying I wanted to test a few before I placed a bulk order :D

Edit: Damn I just noticed that that link that I had book marked for the battery pack is no longer active. Hope I can find it elsewhere ...

This too shall PAX...
I finally bit the bullet and ordered the SIC with Sapphire Insert and the v1.3 base. I had to order the flat coil from High Five to match their PID I use. Hopefully both will arrive relatively close to one another.

I have been using a domeless quartz nail, so I am excited to see the difference.

Experimenting is the best part, but what are some of the favorite temps to ride the SIC at? I get a wide variety of shatter and crumble so testing should be interesting.

I haven't tried many different concentrates through my SIC yet. I came up with 620f on my Auber. I tried as low as 600f and went back up 625f, before I settled. The tail end of the taste or how it finished off was why I was adjusting the temp. For myself, that was where I saw an improvement in taste with a fine adjustment. I am assuming different concentrates will warrant slight change. The whole subject of taste isn't much different than coffee or good wine, and those discussions range from enlightening to truly anal retentive. Caveat emptor.

Depends on whether I'm dabbing or globbing. For dabs I like 640 and for globs I'll bump it up to 666

I just received the Liger V2.0 from CCA710 to test. All I can say so far is it's the sexiest nail I have ever seen and the SiC inset is on the way for it, I'm PUMPED! With the quartz it's bad ass, I can't wait for the SiC!

Several improvements over the V1 including being completely modular. You can take every piece of this one apart for super easy cleaning. I'll do a full review soon after I have used it for a while, so far I'm in love. I'm not sure when this one will be released but I'll let you know when I find out. I just had to post a few pics of this Ti hybrid beauty.

If I wasn't so happy with my SiC Halo, I'd definitely get one one those. So pretty!

I'm thinking the same thing (especially since I also pre-ordered a Quartz-Halo).
And the SiC dish / Halos need a flat coil.
And I just bought an RDK-150 for travel use (also uses a flat coil).

However, the overall design looks well thought out, and the carb-cap looks quite intriguing.
Can one simultaneously dab and cap with this carb-cap?
Much like the cap for the quartz Erlectric nail?

I'm looking at you @mrbonsai420 ;)

YES! and the lock nut actually works as a big cookie cutter tool like the santa cruz magic dabber!I'll post a better pic when I get home.
Edit: I'm home , just set your depth and dab/cap at the same time! It's awesome. I set it a few mm above the Quartz so the heat just makes it drip off.

I was drooling over my friends SiC halo too. The taste and temp stability of that material can't be beat. But we both agree that this actual nail is a better design (we both prefer bangers anyway). Once the SiC insert comes out I honestly think this nail will be second to none. Just my :2c:

Right on made in CO! I was just looking at those yesterday. Been wanting to get an e-nail compatible quartz banger so I bought one of their 20mm turtle bangers and carb caps. Should be here tomorrow.

I wonder if we'll see 100% SiC nails hit the market any time soon.
